従来、ＩＣカードを利用して種々の情報処理を行なう際には、パソコン等の通信端末に備えられたＩＣカードリーダライタを介して、ＩＣカードのメモリに格納されている各種のデータを読み取り、予め通信端末に常時搭載されているプログラムを使用して、通信端末でデータ処理を行なったり、また更にインターネット等のネットワークを通じて通信端末とサーバとの間でアクセスして、種々のデータの送受信を行なったりしている。
