本発明は、洗浄後の濡れた手を衛生的に乾燥させるための手乾燥装置に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
洗浄後の濡れた手を乾燥させる装置として、高速空気流により手に付着した水滴を吹飛ばし乾燥させる手乾燥装置がある。例えば、特開平11―178742号公報には、図に示すように箱体に凹状形態に処理空間としての手挿入部20が設けられ、手挿入部20にはエアーノズル21が配設された手乾燥装置が示されている。エアーノズル21にはブロアー22に接続されたエアーダクトが繋がれ、手挿入部20内に高速空気流を噴出するようになっている。ブロアー22は手挿入部20の下方に組込まれているものもあるが、乾燥処理に伴い手挿入部20に吹飛ばされた水がブロアー22や電気系統に悪影響を及ぼす可能性があるため、図示のもののようにブロアー22を手挿入部20の上方に隣接して設け、手挿入部20の上部から下方に向って高速空気流を噴出するようにしているものも多い。手の乾燥処理に伴い手挿入部20に吹飛ばされた水は、手挿入部20の底部に設けられた排水口から手挿入部20の下方に備えられたドレン容器23に滴下し受容される。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記のような従来の手乾燥装置は、高速空気流の運動エネルギーによって濡れた手を素早く乾燥させることができるものであるが、排水口から吹込む高速空気流がドレン容器23の水面に衝突し波立たさせるため、ドレン容器23にある程度水が溜まると波がドレン容器23の縁を乗り越え外部にこぼれ出すといった問題点がある

本発明は、上記した従来の問題点を解決するためになされたもので、その課題とするところは、処理空間やドレン容器からの水の外部への漏れを防止し得る手乾燥装置を得ることである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
前記課題を達成するために請求項1の発明は、手を出入れできる広さを備えた処理空間に高圧空気流発生装置による作動気流を高速空気流として上部から下方に向って噴出させて処理空間内において手に付着した水分を高速空気流の運動エネルギーにより処理空間内に吹飛ばし手を乾燥する手乾燥装置について、その処理空間の下部側を形成する水受け部に排水口を設け、排水口の下方には排水口から滴下する水を貯留するドレン容器を排水口との間に隙間を持って設け、排水口の下には隙間を利用して処理空間に噴出される高速空気流の排水口からの吹込み気流を略水平方向後方に向ける略L型の気流案内部材を設ける手段を採用する。

【発明の実施の形態】
実施の形態1.
図1,2によって示す実施の形態1は手乾燥装置に関するものであり、図1によって全体を示すようにこの手乾燥装置は、正面に手挿入口を有する外殻をなす本体箱体1内に組み込まれた高圧空気流発生装置2による高圧空気が手挿入口近傍に送られて、手挿入口に続く処理空間としての手挿入部3内に水分を吹飛ばす手乾燥に関する作動気流としての高速の気流が形成されるものである。

手挿入部3は本体箱体1の正面上部に、正面及び両側面が開放した手の挿抜可能の開放シンク状の凹部として形成され、下部を形成する水受け部4と奥側とにはその端縁部に曲面構成の立上りによる防壁構造5が設けられ、側方や前方への水の飛散が防止されている。このように手挿入部3の形状は、奥行きの深いJ形状や袋状になるため一体成形物で構成することは金型構造上困難であり、大幅なコスト増になるため、水受け部4の前部に接合部6を設定した容易に脱着できない二部品7,8で構成されている。水受け部4の底部は前方に向って下傾していて、接合部6は傾斜下端にあり、その接合部6上に排水口9が設けられている。

水受け部4の下方には排水口9から滴下する水を貯留する開放容器構造のドレン容器10が抜き差し可能に設けられている。ドレン容器10の開口平面積は水受け部4の底面部の投影平面より少し広く構成されている。このドレン容器10と排水口9との間には隙間があり、この隙間を利用して手挿入部3に噴出される高速空気流の排水口9からの吹込み気流を略水平方向に向ける気流案内部材11が設けられている。気流案内部材11は略L型に形成され、水受け部4の下面にその一方のフランジ部12が排水口9の直下において略水平になるように突出している。なお、手挿入部3の内面には、シリコン系もしくはフッ素系等の撥水性コーティング、又は酸化チタン等の親水性を有するコーティング、又は抗菌剤が含浸され、内面への汚れの付着の軽減や細菌の繁殖の低減が図られている。

高圧空気流発生装置2は、DCブラシレスモーター(通常の整流子モーター又は誘導電動機であっても良い)と、これを駆動させる駆動回路及びDCブラシレスモーターによって回転するターボファンにより構成され、この実施の形態1では本体箱体1の手挿入部3の直上に、吸気側を背面側にして取付けられている。高圧空気流発生装置2の吸気側は、本体箱体1の背面側に手挿入部3の奥側背面に近接して縦方向に設けられた下端の開放した吸気通路13に臨んでいて、吸気通路13の下端から着脱可能のエアーフィルター14を通じて空気を吸込むことができるようになっている。

高圧空気流発生装置2の吹出口は、円形カップ状のファンケーシングの外周に周方向に間隔を置いて複数個が半径方向に向って開設されている。このファンケーシングの外側はターボファンの回転方向に沿う方向に誘導路を設けた円形カップ状のケーシング15により覆われ、ケーシング15の誘導路の端に高圧空気流発生装置2から送られてくる高圧空気を高速の気流に変換し手挿入部3に吹出すエアーノズル16が接続されている。

エアーノズル16は、手挿入部3の手挿入口近傍の上部に噴出口を下向きにして取付けられ、手挿入部3内に入れた手に高速の気流を吹付け、手を擦り合わせることなく手に付いた水滴を手の表面から剥離し吹飛ばす。エアーノズル16から下向きに吹出される高速空気流の一部が排水口9から吹込むこともあるが、吹込んだ高速空気流は気流案内部材11により進路を阻まれフランジ部12により略水平方向に案内される。従って、高速空気流がドレン容器10の水面に直接あたることがなく、水面を波立たさせ波がドレン容器10の縁を乗り越え外部にこぼれ出すといった不都合は解消される。なお、気流案内部材11のフランジ部12の向きについては図1のように後方に向けても図2のように前方に向けても構わないが、前方に向けると排気が使用者側になるため後方に向けた方が使用感がよい。

排水口9は水受け部4の下傾端の二部品7,8の接合部6上にあり、水受け部4に生じる水は円滑に排水される。また、接合部6は使用者と対面する位置になく吸気通路13から十分離反した位置にあるため、水垢などが溜まっても目立たず外観性を維持できるとともに、接合部6の変形や歪みによって水が漏れたとしてもドレン容器10に受容されるだけであり、水が吸気通路13内に吸込まれ高圧空気流発生装置2の故障を招くといったことも回避できる。このようにこの手乾燥装置は水対策の行き届いた使い易いものである。

この手乾燥装置では、手挿入口から手挿入部3内に手を手首付近まで入れると、手を検知するセンサーによって手が検知され、制御回路の処理により高圧空気流発生装置2が作動し、エアーノズル16から高い運動エネルギーを持つ高速空気流が手挿入部3内に吹出され、挿入された手に当り手に付着した水分を手挿入部3の水受け部へ吹飛ばす。さらに、手挿入部3内で手を挿抜させることによって、手全体に付着していた水滴が全て排除され、手が乾燥処理される。そして手の乾燥処理終了後、手を手挿入部3から完全に抜くと、手を検知するセンサーで手を抜いたことが検知され、高圧空気流発生装置2が停止する。手から吹飛ばされた水滴は前傾構造の水受け部4において排水口9に向かって流下し排水口9からドレン容器10に収容される。
