【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicular communication system in which information about travel of an emergency vehicle is transferred to a general vehicle.
[0002]
[Prior art]
This type of communication system makes it possible to recognize the position of an emergency vehicle that has been urgently dispatched as soon as possible, so that the evacuation action can be performed quickly, that is, to secure a travel route for the emergency vehicle in advance. It is aimed at. As an example of such a system, an emergency vehicle information display device described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2000-33287 has been known. In this configuration, the position information indicating the current position of the emergency vehicle during emergency traveling is encoded, and the encoded position information is transmitted to the vicinity of the emergency vehicle using a specific frequency. The positional relationship between the emergency vehicle and the own vehicle is calculated based on the information obtained by receiving and decoding the encoded position information from the emergency vehicle and the own vehicle position information from the navigation system installed on the emergency vehicle. Thus, according to the calculated positional relationship, it is configured to display on the display means in which direction in which direction the emergency vehicle is located with respect to the own vehicle position.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the case of the conventional configuration, the general vehicle side can recognize only the direction in which the emergency vehicle exists and the distance to the emergency vehicle based on the contents displayed on the display means. For this reason, since it is not known at all whether the position of the own vehicle is on the travel route of the emergency vehicle, this cannot be recognized unless the emergency vehicle is approached to some extent. As a result, there has actually been a situation in which it is difficult to secure a travel route for the emergency vehicle in advance.
[0004]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to make it possible to accurately recognize the planned travel route of the emergency vehicle on the general vehicle side and to secure the travel route of the emergency vehicle in advance. An object of the present invention is to provide a vehicle communication system that is beneficial to the above.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the means described in claim 1 can be employed. According to this means, in the emergency vehicle, the route calculation means guides the emergency vehicle to the destination based on the vehicle current position information specified by the first position detection means and separately prepared map information. Guide route information indicating the scheduled travel route of the vehicle is calculated, and the information processing means creates emergency vehicle information including the guide route information and time information capable of specifying the start time of the emergency vehicle to generate first vehicle information. From the mobile communication terminal to the information service center. The emergency vehicle information is transferred from the information service center to the general vehicle, and the general vehicle side receives the emergency vehicle information through the second mobile communication terminal. In this case, since the emergency vehicle information is transferred from the information service center as described above to the second mobile communication terminal on the general vehicle side by the cell broadcast service provided by the mobile communication carrier, the communication cost is reduced. Reduction can be realized.
[0006]
Here, when the start time of the emergency vehicle and the scheduled travel route are known, it is possible to determine with high accuracy which route the emergency vehicle travels in which time zone. Therefore, if the general vehicle side that has received emergency vehicle information including time information indicating the start time of the emergency vehicle and guide route information indicating the planned travel route, if the current position of the host vehicle is known, the current vehicle position and Based on the comparison with the emergency vehicle information, it can be determined with high accuracy whether or not the host vehicle encounters the emergency vehicle. In this case, on the general vehicle side, the judging means determines that the own vehicle is based on the comparison between the current vehicle position specified by the second position detecting means and the guide route information and time information in the received emergency vehicle information. It is determined whether or not there is a possibility of encountering an emergency vehicle on the planned travel route. When it is determined that an emergency vehicle may be encountered, the warning generating means performs a warning operation. become.
As a result, the general vehicle can reliably recognize that the host vehicle is on the planned travel route of the emergency vehicle based on the warning operation. That is, the general vehicle side can recognize the travel schedule route of the emergency vehicle accurately and in real time. For this reason, it is extremely useful in securing the travel route of the emergency vehicle in advance.
Further, the distribution operation of emergency vehicle information from the information service center performed using the cell broadcast service is a general vehicle (second mobile unit) in the cell where the emergency vehicle that is the transmission source of the emergency vehicle information exists. When the cell in which the emergency vehicle is present changes according to its travel, it is performed on a general vehicle (second mobile communication terminal) in a new cell. For this reason, on the general vehicle side, it is based on the emergency vehicle information or the like whether or not there is a possibility that the host vehicle will encounter on the planned travel route of the emergency vehicle for the first time when the emergency vehicle has approached to some extent. The warning operation by the warning generation means can be performed at an appropriate timing.
[0007]
According to the means described in
[0008]
According to the third aspect, the emergency vehicle information transmitted from the information service center to the general vehicle side includes the current position information of the emergency vehicle in addition to the guide route information and the time information. The determination means provided on the general vehicle side obtains the expected current position of the emergency vehicle by calculation based on the guide route information, time information and current position information in the received emergency vehicle information, and the predicted current position is determined from the own vehicle. When it is within the predetermined range, the warning generation means is caused to execute a warning operation. That is, the current position of the emergency vehicle can be accurately predicted, and a warning operation can be performed at an appropriate timing.
[0009]
According to the fourth aspect of the invention, every time a predetermined time elapses, new emergency vehicle information including at least current position information of the emergency vehicle and time information indicating the current time is created and transmitted to the general vehicle side. . For this reason, on the general vehicle side, the prediction of the current position of the emergency vehicle can be performed more accurately based on the newly received emergency vehicle information, and the reliability of the system is improved.
[0012]
According to the means described in claim 5 , since the second mobile communication terminal is a mobile phone possessed by a driver of a general vehicle, a reduction in hardware cost can be realized. In addition, the driver receives emergency vehicle information from the information service center even in situations where the driver of a general vehicle parks the vehicle on the road (the situation may impede the passage of emergency vehicles). This is useful when actually operating the system.

This warning operation routine A6 is executed by the
[0025]
(1) Simply, a warning that the emergency vehicle 1 is traveling (approaching) to the guidance route based on the current position of the host vehicle and the route search function is generated.
(2) Among the emergency vehicle information obtained in step A2, guide route information (indicating the planned travel route of the emergency vehicle 1), current position information (encoded emergency vehicle information is transmitted from the emergency vehicle communication device 11) indicating the position of the emergency vehicle 1 at the time), based on the current time information (corresponding to the starting time of the emergency vehicle 1), determined by calculation of the expected current position of the emergency vehicle 1 to be warned, its current and projected position A warning is generated when the vehicle is within a predetermined range.
In addition, the structure which performs both warning of (1) and (2) is also possible.
[0026]
After executing the warning operation routine A6 as described above, it is determined again whether or not the vehicle is in the route guidance operation using the route search function (step A7). Ends the series of controls. On the other hand, when the route guidance operation is being performed, a travel route other than the route being guided and that does not overlap the planned travel route of the emergency vehicle 1 is re-searched, and a new guidance route is displayed on the map screen. (Step A8), and thereafter, a series of control is terminated.
[0027]
In short, according to the configuration of the present embodiment described above, the following operations and effects can be achieved.
That is, generally, when the start time of the emergency vehicle 1 and the scheduled travel route are known, it is possible to determine with high accuracy which route the emergency vehicle 1 travels in which time zone. In addition, since the start position of the emergency vehicle 1 coincides with the starting point of the planned travel route, it can be determined based on the guidance route information. By checking the current position information of the emergency vehicle 1 with the current time information, The position where the emergency vehicle 1 is currently traveling can be accurately predicted.
[0028]
In the present embodiment, the encoded emergency vehicle information including the current position information of the emergency vehicle 1 in addition to the current time information indicating the start time of the emergency vehicle 1 and the guide route information indicating the planned travel route for the general vehicle 4. Is transmitted from the
[0029]
As a result, the general vehicle 4 side can reliably recognize that the host vehicle is on the planned travel route of the emergency vehicle 1 based on the warning operation. That is, the general vehicle 4 side can recognize the travel schedule route of the emergency vehicle 1 accurately and in real time. For this reason, it is extremely useful in securing the travel route of the emergency vehicle 1 in advance. Further, the encoded emergency vehicle information transmitted to the general vehicle 4 includes the current position information of the emergency vehicle 1. Therefore, on the general vehicle 4 side, the current position of the emergency vehicle 1 can be accurately predicted based on the current position information and current time information (indicating the time when the encoded emergency vehicle information is transmitted). Thus, a warning operation can be performed at an appropriate timing.
