Description
【0001】

[0014]
Furthermore, the ceramic electronic component is a ceramic capacitor.
[0015]
【Example】
Hereinafter, examples of the conductive paste of the present invention and ceramic electronic components using the same will be described using a ceramic capacitor as an example.
[0016]
Example 1
First, a glass frit was produced as follows. That is, the starting materials H 3 BO 3 , Bi so as to have the glass composition shown in Table 1 (however, the specific glass compositions of Sample Nos. 1-17 to 1-23 in Table 1 are shown in Table 2). 2 O 3 , ZnO, SiO 2 , Pb 3 O 4 or BaCO 3 was mixed, melted at high temperature, and then rapidly cooled to vitrify. Thereafter, the obtained glass was pulverized to obtain a glass frit. Among the glass compositions described above, sample numbers 1-1 to 1-16 are indicated by ● in the ternary composition diagram shown in FIG. In Table 1, those marked with * are not preferable as the composition range of the glass frit.
[0017]
Next, 6.5 wt% of these glass frit, 75.5 wt% of Ag powder having an average particle size of about 3 μm, and 18.0 wt% of an organic vehicle in which ethyl cellulose resin is dissolved in terpineol are mixed, and sufficiently kneaded by three rolls. A conductive paste was prepared by dispersing.
[0018]
Thereafter, a conductive paste was applied by screen printing on both surfaces of the SrTiO 3 dielectric ceramic having a diameter of 8.5 mm and a thickness of 0.85 mm prepared in advance, and baked at 810 ° C. for 10 minutes to form an electrode. Then, a ceramic capacitor was produced.
[0019]
The ceramic capacitors obtained above were evaluated for capacitance, dielectric loss, insulation resistance, electrode adhesion strength, solderability and solder heat resistance.
[0020]
In this case, the capacitance and dielectric loss were measured under conditions of a frequency of 1 kHz and a voltage of 1.0 Vrms at room temperature of 25 ° C. The insulation resistance is 250V. DC was applied for 60 seconds and measured.
[0021]
In addition, the electrode adhesive strength was defined as the electrode adhesive strength after soldering a lead wire to the electrode of the ceramic capacitor and then pulling the lead wire at a constant speed of 20 mm / min perpendicular to the electrode surface.
[0022]
Solderability is as follows: rosin flux is applied to the electrode part of the ceramic capacitor, preheated at 120 ° C for 1 minute, and then immersed in molten H60A solder (Sn / Pb = 60 / 40wt ratio) at 235 ° C for 2 seconds. Then raised it. Thereafter, the solderability was evaluated by the ratio of the electrode area wetted by the solder.
[0023]
Further, the solder heat resistance was obtained by applying rosin flux to the electrode portion of the ceramic capacitor, preheating at 120 ° C. for 1 minute, and then dipping it in a molten H60A solder at 265 ° C. for 30 seconds. Thereafter, the solder heat resistance was evaluated by the ratio of the remaining electrode area.
[0024]
The results are shown in Table 1. In Table 1, ○ in the solderability column indicates that 80% or more of the electrode area is wet with solder, and Δ indicates that 50% or more and less than 80% of the electrode area is wet with solder. X indicates a state where less than 50% of the electrode area is wet with the solder. In the soldering heat resistance column, a circle indicates that 50% or more of the electrode area remains, a triangle indicates that less than 50% of the electrode area remains, and a cross indicates that all the electrodes have disappeared. Indicates no state at all.
[0025]
[Table 1]
[0026]
[Table 2]
[0027]
As shown in Table 1, a ceramic capacitor having an electrode obtained from the conductive paste of the present invention containing B 2 O 3 —Bi 2 O 3 —ZnO-based glass uses a conductive paste containing other glass-based frit. Compared with, it is possible to obtain an electrode having excellent solderability and solder heat resistance. Also, the capacitance is slightly higher than that of other glass systems.
[0028]
However, the composition range of the B 2 O 3 —Bi 2 O 3 —ZnO-based glass is preferably in the region connecting A, B, C, D, E, and F in the ternary composition diagram shown in FIG. . That is, when the amount of B 2 O 3 is out of the above composition range, as shown in sample numbers 1-1, 1-2, 1-3 , 1-4, 1-7, 1-8, 1-9. In addition, solderability and solder heat resistance are poor, which is not preferable. Further, when the amount of B 2 O 3 further increases outside the above composition range, it does not vitrify.
[0029]
When the ZnO amount or Bi 2 O 3 amount is out of the above composition range, for example, as shown in Sample No. 1-14, no vitrification occurs in the sintering temperature range of the Ag powder, and the conductive paste of the present invention. It is not suitable as a glass frit for use.
[0030]
(Example 2)
First, a glass frit was produced as follows. That is, the starting materials H 3 BO 3 , Bi 2 O 3 , ZnO or CoO were mixed so as to have the glass composition shown in Table 3, melted at a high temperature, and then rapidly cooled to be vitrified. Thereafter, the obtained glass was pulverized to obtain a glass frit.
[0031]
Next, using these glass frit, an electrode paste was produced in the same manner as in Example 1 to produce a ceramic capacitor.
[0032]
Thereafter, the obtained ceramic capacitor was confirmed in the same manner as in Example 1 for capacitance, dielectric loss, insulation resistance, electrode adhesion strength, and solderability. In addition, about the electrode adhesive strength, the initial stage immediately after preparation of the ceramic capacitor similar to the case of Example 1 and after aging at 150 degreeC for 8 hours were evaluated.
[0033]
The results are shown in Table 3. In Table 3, “◯” and “x” in the solderability column indicate the same determination state as in the first embodiment.
[0034]
[Table 3]
[0035]
As shown in Table 3, a ceramic capacitor having an electrode obtained from the conductive paste of the present invention comprising a glass frit containing 9 parts by weight or less of CoO with respect to 100 parts by weight of B 2 O 3 —Bi 2 O 3 —ZnO glass. Is obtained in which a decrease in the electrode adhesive strength after aging is suppressed. However, when the added amount of CoO exceeds 9 wt%, as shown in Sample Nos. 2-5 and 2-10, solderability is deteriorated, which is not preferable.
[0036]
In the above embodiment, the case where the conductive component is Ag is shown, but the present invention is not limited to this. That is, the same effect can be obtained in the case of an electrode paste that is fired in an oxidizing or neutral atmosphere, such as one of Ag, Pd, and Au, or a mixture or alloy thereof.
[0037]
Further, in the above examples, by adding CoO, the decrease in electrode adhesion strength after aging is suppressed, but in addition to CoO, CuO, Fe 2 O 3 , NiO, TiO 2 or ZrO 2 is added. The same effect can be obtained also.
[0038]
In the above embodiment, the case where the ceramic electronic component is a ceramic capacitor has been described. However, the same effect can be obtained for ceramic electronic components such as insulating components, resistance components, piezoelectric components, magnetic components, thick film components, and the like. Is obtained.
[0039]
【The invention's effect】
As is apparent from the above description, by using the conductive paste of the present invention, an electrode excellent in solderability, solder heat resistance and adhesive strength to ceramic can be obtained due to the glass frit component contained.
[0040]
Therefore, by using the conductive paste of the present invention, a ceramic electronic component having an electrode excellent in solderability, solder heat resistance, and adhesive strength to ceramic can be obtained.
[0041]
Further, by using the conductive paste of the present invention as an electrode material for a ceramic capacitor, a ceramic capacitor having a large capacitance and excellent dielectric loss and insulation resistance characteristics can be obtained.
