Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in a drive system in the mechanical field for scooters or general industries, a belt-type transmission that suspends a power transmission belt between a drive pulley and a driven pulley and changes the effective diameter of the pulley is used. . The power transmission belt used here has at least one of a compression rubber layer and a stretch rubber layer with cog ridges and cog valleys alternately arranged on the compression rubber layer, and the core wire is placed in the adhesive rubber layer. And is commercialized as a low edge cog belt such as a low edge single cog belt or a low edge double cog belt.
[0003]
As a manufacturing method of the low edge cog belt, an unvulcanized rubber sheet is placed on a flat die with a flat plate longer than a belt circumference prepared in advance, and a cog pad molded into a cog shape by heating and pressing with a press is used. Make it. The cog pad is fitted into the concave and convex portions of the cylindrical master mold mounted on the forming drum, the cut surfaces of the cog pad are brought into contact with each other, the core wire is wound, and another rubber layer and reinforcing cloth are attached to the cog pad. After wrapping from above, the molding was completed and the process was shifted to the vulcanization process.
[0004]
The cog pad is a laminate of one to several plies of reinforcing cloth and an unvulcanized rubber sheet, and has cog crests and cog troughs alternately at a constant pitch in the length direction.
[0005]
Conventionally, the cutting of the cog pad has been performed manually by a skilled worker. The operator counts the number of cogs according to the belt circumference in advance, and marks the cog valley portion to be cut with chalk. One cog mountain portion (the top portion of the cog portion) was cut with a cutter, and the other cog mountain portion was cut in the same manner.
[0006]
Then, after removing the end portion of the reinforcing cloth at one end of the cog pad to expose the unvulcanized rubber sheet, and processing the end so that the reinforcing cloth at the other end protrudes from the cut surface of the unvulcanized rubber sheet, A cog pad is wound around a grooved mold to bring the cut surface into contact, and the end of the inner canvas and the outer canvas of the reinforcing cloth are overlapped to perform an overlap joint.

【Example】
Hereinafter, the effect of the present invention will be confirmed by more specific examples.
Example 1
As a core wire, a 1,500 denier aramid fiber (trade name: Twaron) is twisted 2 × 3 by twisting it upside down at an upper twist number of 19.7 times / 10 cm and a lower twist number of 15.8 times / 10 cm. An unprocessed code with a total denier of 9,000 was prepared. Next, this untreated cord was pre-dipped with an isocyanate-based adhesive, dried at about 170 to 180 ° C., immersed in an RFL solution, and then stretched and fixed at 200 to 240 ° C. to obtain a treated cord. .
[0040]
A wide-angle plain woven canvas using a 50:50 blended yarn of aramid fiber (trade name: Twaron) and polyethylene terephthalate fiber in a weight ratio was used as the reinforcing fabric. These canvases were immersed in an RFL solution and then heat treated at 150 ° C. for 2 minutes to obtain treated canvases. Thereafter, a rubber composition was friction coated with these treated canvases to obtain rubberized canvases.
[0041]
A rubber composition made of chloroprene rubber containing aramid short fibers was used for the compression rubber layer and the stretch rubber layer, and a rubber composition made of chloroprene rubber containing short fibers was also used for the adhesive rubber layer. Two sheets having different thicknesses were prepared as compressed rubber layers.
[0042]
As a cog pad, a laminate of one reinforcing cloth and a compressed rubber layer sheet is placed on a flat cog mold with teeth and grooves alternately arranged, and the cog is molded by pressing at 75 ° C. did.
[0043]
As the end processing step of the cog pad, after removing the polyethylene film interposed at one end of the cog pad, the unvulcanized rubber sheet is cut along the width direction with a cutter at the top of the cog crest with a bias of about 60 °, Further, the reinforcing cloth was cut with scissors, and the end of the reinforcing cloth was protruded by about 1 cog from the cut surface of the unvulcanized rubber sheet.
In the other end region, the reinforcing cloth and the unvulcanized rubber sheet are cut along the width direction with a cutter at the top of the cog crest portion to a bias of about 60 degrees, and further, the half-crushing from the cut surface of the unvulcanized rubber sheet After a cut was made along the width direction in the reinforcing cloth at a position retracted by an amount, the reinforcing cloth was peeled off to expose the unvulcanized rubber sheet.
[0044]
Subsequently, a terminal-processed cog pad is wound around the surface of the inner mother mold in which a vulcanized rubber inner mold having alternating teeth and grooves is mounted on a cylindrical mold. Then, the cut surface was brought into contact to form a joint portion, and the overlap portion was formed so that the end of the inner canvas and the end of the outer canvas of the reinforcing cloth were provided on the surface of the same cog mountain portion. This joint part was separated from the cog part where the overlap part is located by one cog part.
[0045]
Further, the uncured rubber sheet of the core wire and the stretched rubber layer is wound in order to produce a molded body, and then the outer mold made of vulcanized rubber having teeth and grooves alternately on the inner periphery is inserted. did.
[0046]
The jacket was put on and the mold was placed in a vulcanizing can and vulcanized to obtain a belt sleeve. This sleeve was cut into a V shape by a cutter to finish a low edge double cog belt for a scooter.
[0047]
In the overlap portion of the reinforcing cloth of the obtained low-edge double cog belt, the end of the inner canvas and the end of the outer canvas were located on the same cog mountain surface, and no wrinkles occurred at the end of the inner canvas.
[0048]
The belt is suspended on a vertical running tester consisting of a 85 mm diameter drive pulley and a 85 mm driven pulley, and a 85 mm diameter tension pulley is brought into contact with the back surface to maintain the belt bending angle at 160 °. A load of 100 kgf was applied to the belt, and the drive pulley was rotated at 3,600 rpm to check the running life of the belt. As a result, after running for 144 hours, there was no crack from the end of the joint, and a crack occurred from another cog valley.
[0049]
Comparative Example 1
The end treatment of the cog pad of this comparative example was performed in the same manner as in Example 1, and the end of the reinforcing cloth was protruded from the cut surface of the unvulcanized rubber sheet by a little more than 1 gog. Further, in the other end region, the reinforcing cloth of less than 1 gog was removed to expose the unvulcanized rubber sheet.
Next, the cog pad with the end treatment is wound around the inner mold attached to the cylindrical mold, the cut surface is brought into contact, and the end of the inner canvas of the reinforcing cloth is positioned beyond the bottom of the cog valley and the outer side. An overlap portion with a large overlap margin was formed so that the end of the canvas was placed at a position beyond the top of the cog mountain.
[0050]
In such a state, in the overlap portion of the reinforcing fabric of the low edge double cog belt obtained by molding and vulcanizing in the same manner as in Example 1, wrinkles occurred at the end portion of the inner canvas. Further, when this belt was run under the above conditions, it was observed that the outer canvas of the overlapped part emerged in 1 hour after running.
[0051]
Example 2
The difference from Example 1 is in the end processing step of the cog pad. After removing the polyethylene film interposed at one end of the cog pad, the unvulcanized rubber sheet is cut along the width direction with a cutter at the top of the cog crest with a bias of about 60 °, and the reinforcing cloth is cut with scissors. The end of the reinforcing fabric is projected from the cut surface of the unvulcanized rubber sheet with an aim of about 3 mm, and in the other end region, the reinforcing fabric and the unvulcanized rubber sheet are placed along the width direction with the top of the cog crest portion. Cut to about 60 ° bias with a cutter.
[0052]
Subsequently, a terminal-processed cog pad is wound around the surface of the inner mother mold in which a vulcanized rubber inner mold having alternating teeth and grooves is mounted on a cylindrical mold. Then, the cut surface is brought into contact to form the joint portion, and the overlap portion is formed so that the end of the inner canvas and the end of the outer canvas are provided on the surface of the same cog mountain portion. The part was formed in the same cog part.
[0053]
In such a state, in the overlap portion of the reinforcing fabric of the low edge double cog belt obtained by molding and vulcanizing in the same manner as in Example 1, the end of the inner canvas and the end of the outer canvas are located on the same cog mountain surface. The wrinkles were not generated at the end of the inner canvas.
[0054]
The belt is suspended on a vertical running tester consisting of a 85 mm diameter drive pulley and a 85 mm driven pulley, and a 85 mm diameter tension pulley is brought into contact with the back surface to maintain the belt bending angle at 160 °. A load of 100 kgf was applied to the belt, and the drive pulley was rotated at 3,600 rpm to check the running life of the belt. As a result, after traveling for 150 hours, there is no crack from the end of the joint part, but a crack is generated from the other cog valley part, and the defect of the joint part is reduced.
【The invention's effect】
As described above, in the invention described in the claims of the present application, the end of the inner canvas is positioned by positioning the end of the inner canvas and the end of the outer canvas on the surface of the same cog mountain portion in the overlap portion where the ends of the reinforcing cloth are overlapped. Wrinkles do not occur in the parts, and cracks do not occur at an early stage from the cog valleys.
[0055]
The end of the inner canvas and the end of the outer canvas in the overlap part where the ends of the reinforcing cloth are overlapped are located on the same cog mountain surface, and the joint part of the rubber layer and the overlap part are located in the same cog part Because of this, it is possible to reduce the overlap margin of the overlap part, and the overlap part and the joint part are located in the same cog part. Since the cutting process for removing the canvas of the cog valley is eliminated, the bending fatigue resistance of the cog valley can be improved, and the man-hour for manufacturing the power transmission belt can also be reduced.
