【従来の技術】
地震により家屋が倒壊したとき、倒壊しないまでも玄関周りが歪曲されたときに玄関扉が開かないために住人が家屋内に閉じ込められるという悲劇が起こっている。また、通常の使用において扉の縦かまちと外枠との間に指がある状態で扉を閉めた時、特に幼児の細い指が両者の隙間に挟まれて骨折などの事故が起こることがある。
