Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a pneumatic radial tire for passenger cars or light trucks traveling on rough roads, and in particular, a radial carcass wound around left and right bead cores and moored at a bead portion, and the radial The present invention relates to a pneumatic radial tire for a passenger car or a light truck including a belt disposed radially outward of the crown portion of the carcass and a tread disposed radially outward of the belt.
[0002]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
When a tire travels on a so-called rough road surface represented by a rough paved road or a non-paved road such as an agricultural road, the tires are scattered by pebbles scattered on the road, broken pieces of glass or metal, and foreign matters such as bolts. The bottom of the groove provided in the tread portion is susceptible to cut damage. If you continue to use a tire that has been cut damaged at the groove bottom, the cut damage will proceed to the belt, moisture will enter from the damaged area, and the steel cords that make up the belt will rust. May cause fatal burst failure.
In order to make it difficult to suffer from cut damage as described above, by increasing the thickness of the rubber under the groove bottom by shallowing the groove provided in the tread portion of the tire, it is difficult for the cut damage to progress to the belt. Since the movement of opening and closing of the groove becomes small during rolling, cut damage may increase instead of expelling a foreign object such as a stone once biting into the groove.
[0003]
The object of the present invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, and to prevent a groove bottom cut damage by a foreign object such as a stone and to travel on a rough road surface, a pneumatic radial tire for a passenger car or a light truck. Is to provide.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, a pneumatic tire according to the present invention is arranged on a radial carcass wound around a pair of left and right bead cores and moored at a bead portion, and disposed radially outward in the crown portion of the radial carcass. In the pneumatic tire provided with the belt and the tread disposed on the outer side in the radial direction of the belt, (1) the tread includes at least a circumferential groove extending in the circumferential direction and substantially in the circumferential direction; A steeply inclined groove extending in a direction inclined at a small angle with respect to the direction, and (2) in at least a partial region of the steeply inclined groove, the groove depth is 20 to 60 of the groove depth of the circumferential groove. (3) In the region of the steeply inclined groove where the groove is raised, a narrow groove extending further inward in the radial direction from the groove bottom is provided, and (4) The groove width of the narrow groove is Ri .5 to 2.5mm der, (5) said acute inclined groove is opened only in the circumferential groove through the gently slant groove which inclines at an angle larger than the circumferential direction, the said raised fine The groove is formed only on the steeply inclined groove among the circumferential groove, the steeply inclined groove, and the gently inclined groove, and is used for a passenger car or a light truck traveling on a rough road surface. It is a pneumatic radial tire.
[0005]
In order to achieve the above object, in the pneumatic tire of the present invention,
The groove depth of the narrow groove is 40 to 80% of the groove depth of the circumferential groove, and the steeply inclined groove extends in a direction inclined at a small angle of 5 to 30 degrees with respect to the circumferential direction. Preferably it is.
[0006]
As a result of investigations of waste tires by the inventors, it has been found that the above-described cut damage frequently occurs in steeply inclined grooves extending in a direction inclined at a small angle of about 5 to 30 degrees with respect to the circumferential direction.
The pneumatic tire according to the present invention is configured as described above. In particular, the groove depth of the steeply inclined groove is set to be 20 to 60% of the groove depth of the circumferential groove, and the thickness of the rubber under the groove bottom is increased. Therefore, the cut damage is prevented from proceeding to the belt.
However, as described above, when the thickness of the rubber under the groove bottom is increased by shallowing the groove provided in the tread portion of the tire in order to make it less susceptible to cut damage, the movement of the groove opens and closes when the tire rolls. As it becomes smaller, the cut damage may increase instead of expelling a foreign object such as a stone once biting into the groove.
In the pneumatic tire of the present invention, as described above, a narrow groove extending radially inward from the groove bottom of the steeply inclined groove is provided, and the groove width of the narrow groove is 0.5 to 2.5 mm, and the groove depth is Since the depth of the groove is 40 to 80% of the groove depth of the circumferential groove, the movement of the groove when the tire rolls increases, and foreign objects such as stones once bite into the groove are easily discharged, resulting in cut damage. Decrease.
Further, by providing the narrow groove extending further inward in the radial direction from the groove bottom of the steeply inclined groove, the drainage performance can be secured even after the middle stage of wear and the appearance appearance can be prevented from deteriorating.
