Description
【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a trailer stop lamp connection detection circuit that detects a connection state of a trailer stop lamp when a trailer is coupled to a tractor.
[0002]
[Prior art]
The tractor is configured such that front and rear wheels are mounted on a frame extending front and rear and a cab is mounted on the front. In the trailer, a rear wheel is mounted on a frame extending in the front-rear direction, a container is mounted, and a front end portion can be connected to a rear portion of the tractor via a king pin. When connecting the trailer to the tractor, it is necessary to connect the vehicle bodies with a king pin and also connect the electrical system and the air system.
[0003]
In this case, a stop lamp is provided at the rear end of the tractor and trailer, and it is stipulated that the tractor stop lamp and the trailer stop lamp are turned on simultaneously when the driver depresses the brake pedal. Therefore, when the driver connects the trailer to the tractor, it is necessary to confirm that the tractor stop lamp and the trailer stop lamp are lit simultaneously. Conventionally, with the brake lever for trailer being operated and held, the trailer stop lamp was visually confirmed to check for poor connection, disconnection, or broken ball.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the revision of the regulations prohibits holding the trailer brake lever in the activated state, making it difficult to confirm the lighting of the trailer stop lamp by the driver. For this reason, two workers are required for checking work such as poor connection of the electrical system, disconnection, and ball breakage, which increases the work time and reduces workability.
[0005]
In JP-A-50-134793, a brake switch for lighting a stop lamp is provided, a change-over switch is provided in parallel with the brake switch, and the change-over switch is turned on regardless of the brake switch. A circuit for checking disconnection of a stop lamp for confirming lighting has been proposed. However, this disconnection check circuit checks the disconnection of the stop lamp provided in the passenger car, and does not check the lighting of the trailer stop lamp when the trailer is connected to the tractor. Cannot be applied to trailers. Furthermore, in this disconnection check circuit, the changeover switch is arranged near the stop lamp, so if the changeover switch is turned on accidentally when the vehicle is parked or because of mischief, the stop lamp will continue to be lit. There is a risk that the vehicle deviates from the original lighting purpose of the stop lamp to inform the vehicle of the brake operation of the own vehicle, and not only the safety is impaired but also battery power is wasted.
[0006]
The present invention solves such problems, and makes it easy to visually check the lighting of the stop lamp for the trailer in a short time, and prevents unnecessary consumption of battery power and safety problems due to erroneous operation of the check switch. An object of the present invention is to provide a connection detection circuit for a trailer stop lamp.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the trailer stop lamp connection detection circuit according to the first aspect of the present invention is provided with a stop lamp relay for turning on the trailer stop lamp by operating the brake pedal, and the trailer stop lamp is preset. A time lag relay that is lit only for a predetermined time is connected in parallel with the stop lamp relay, and a check switch that operates the time lag relay is provided.
[0008]
Therefore, when the check switch is turned on, the time lag relay is activated and the trailer stop lamp can be lit, so during this time the battery is visually inspected for the trailer stop lamp to be lit, that is, connection failure, disconnection, Ball breakage or the like can be detected, and visual confirmation of lighting of the trailer stop lamp can be easily performed in a short time. Even if the vehicle starts to travel after being lit, the stop lamp is always turned off after a predetermined time has passed by the time lag relay, so that it does not light continuously during traveling.
[0009]
In the trailer stop lamp connection detection circuit according to the second aspect of the present invention, the check switch is provided in the cab of the vehicle. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the check switch from being turned on due to an erroneous operation or an outsider's mischief, and it is possible to prevent a safety problem due to continuous lighting of the stop lamp and wasteful consumption of battery power.
[0010]
In the trailer stop lamp connection detection circuit according to the third aspect of the invention, a vehicle stop energization switch that energizes only when the vehicle is stopped is connected in series with the time lag relay. Therefore, even if the check switch is accidentally turned on while the vehicle is running, the trail stop stop lamp does not light up because the time lag relay does not operate because the vehicle stop energization switch is off. It is possible to solve the safety problem due to erroneous lighting.
[0011]
Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

【The invention's effect】
As described above in detail in the embodiment, the trailer stop lamp connection detection circuit according to the first aspect of the present invention is provided with the stop lamp relay that turns on the trailer stop lamp by operating the brake pedal. A time lag relay that lights up only for a predetermined time set in advance is connected in parallel with the stop lamp relay, and a check switch that operates the time lag relay is provided, so when the check switch is turned on, the time lag relay operates to stop the trailer Since the lamp can be lit for a predetermined time, the trailer stop lamp is connected to the battery during this period, and the trailer stop lamp is visually checked for connection status, that is, connection failure, disconnection, broken ball, etc. Can detect this It is possible to perform lighting visual check of over La for stop lamp easily in a short time.
[0029]
According to the trailer stop lamp connection detection circuit of the second aspect of the present invention, since the check switch is provided in the cab of the vehicle, the check switch can be prevented from being turned on by an erroneous operation or an outsider's mischief. It is possible to prevent wasteful consumption of battery power due to continuous lighting.
[0030]
In the trailer stop lamp connection detection circuit according to the third aspect of the invention, since the vehicle stop energizing switch that is energized only when the vehicle is stopped is connected in series with the time lag relay, the check switch is erroneously turned on while the vehicle is running. Even so, since the vehicle stop energization switch is turned off, the time lag relay does not operate and the trailer stop lamp does not light, and the problem of safety due to erroneous lighting of the stop lamp can be solved.
