Since the above-described
[0043]
Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the present invention is not limited to the liquid crystal projector device, and can be applied to various projection display devices.
[0044]
【The invention's effect】
The projection display device of the present invention is a lamp box.A transparent protective member is arranged at the light exit of the lamp inside, and provided at the tip of the cooling air intake duct at the bottom of the lamp boxCooling air inletIs provided at a position away from the protective member in the optical axis direction from the light source. When the lamp valve is damagedThe lamp bulbGlass pieces, etc.The debris is received by the protective member and the reflectorCooling air intake at the bottomDropped into the duct for storage. Therefore, the lamp bulbGlassOne pieceDebrisWill spread over a wide area inside the optical unit case in the projector device and adversely affect the optical elements. Can be prevented, Ensure high safetycan do.
[0045]
The projection display device of the present invention isWhen taking the lamp box out of the outer casing after the lamp bulb is damaged inside the projector,The bottom of the lamp boxAt the end of the cooling air intake ductThe optical axis direction from the light sourceKeepIt is provided at a position away from the protective memberThe cooling air intake is automatically closed by automatic opening and closing means.Lamp boxWhen replacing the lamp, glass lamp fragments etc. held inside the reflector and inside the cooling air intake duct are removed from the cooling air inlet at the tip of the cooling air intake duct. Since it can be reliably prevented from being scattered widely outside,Replace the lamp boxIt can be done safely and easily.
[0046]
The projection display device of the present invention isSince the lamp box is mounted in the outer casing, the automatic opening / closing means automatically opens the cooling air inlet at the tip of the cooling air intake duct at the bottom of the lamp box and connects it to the ventilation duct of the cooling means. ,Cooling meansAt least the cooling air blown from the blower fanAir ductAnd through the cooling air intake ductLamp boxThe air can be efficiently blown into the reflector, and the light source inside the reflector can be efficiently cooled. Moreover, it is provided at the bottom of the lamp box,Air ductThe cooling air intake port at the end of the cooling air intake duct connected to the lamp is separated from the protective member in the axial direction from the light source, so that the lamp box is mounted in the outer casing. Inside the reflectorlampButCorruptionIf this happens, the glass fragments can be safely held in the cooling air intake duct at the bottom of the lamp box, and the glass fragments can be removed from the cooling air intake duct into the projector. Scattered widelyOptical element of optical unitetcAdversely affectThe safety is very high. In addition, when the lamp box is taken out of the outer casing after the lamp is damaged, the cooling air intake at the tip of the cooling air intake duct separated from the air duct is automatically closed by the automatic closing means. Therefore, fragments such as glass pieces are not inadvertently scattered outside the projector from the cooling air intake port.
[0047]
In the projection type display device of the present invention, since the blowing duct further blows the cooling air to the light modulation means, the cooling air blown from one blowing fan is sent to the light modulation means portion and the light source portion by the blowing duct. The air can be blown to at least two places, and at least two places of the light modulation means and the light source portion can be simultaneously forcedly air-cooled with high efficiency by one blower fan.
[0048]
In the projection type display device of the present invention, the optical unit separates light emitted from the light source into colored light of different wavelength bands, and a plurality of light modulating means irradiated with the colored light separated by the light separating means And a light combining unit that combines the image light modulated by the plurality of light modulation units, and the air duct includes an air volume control unit that controls the amount of air blown to the plurality of light modulation units. It is possible to control the amount of air blown to appropriately cool the light modulation means.
[0049]
In the projection type display device of the present invention, the optical unit includes polarization conversion means for converting the light emitted from the light source into light having a predetermined polarization direction, and the air duct further blows cooling air to the polarization conversion means. Therefore, at least two portions of the polarization conversion means can be simultaneously forcedly air-cooled with high efficiency together with the light source portion.

Since the projection type display apparatus of the present invention includes a duct for blowing at least cooling air blown from the blowing fan to the light source and cools them, a siroc fan is used as the blowing fan. By using a sirocco fan with a high static pressure, a plurality of cooling objects located away via the air duct can be effectively cooled. Moreover, since the cooling air intake of the lamp box is configured to be detachable from the blower duct via the automatic opening / closing means, when the lamp bulb is broken, the scattering of the fragments is suppressed at least in the blower duct, When replacing the box, most of the debris can be safely removed into the lamp box.
