Description
【0001】

[Industrial application fields]
The present invention relates to a fuel cell system, and more particularly to activation of a fuel cell system having a fuel circulation device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
As a means for circulating off-gas from the fuel cell in the fuel cell system, there is one as disclosed in JP-A-10-55814. In this case, efficient power generation is performed by using an ejector to mix and circulate surplus unreacted off gas that has not been used for power generation in the fuel cell and newly supplied fuel gas.
[0003]
Also, when the fuel cell system is stopped, the supply of the fuel gas is stopped, the fuel gas in the fuel gas pipe is released into the atmosphere, and the fuel gas pipe is filled with an inert gas such as air or nitrogen gas. It has been known. Therefore, when starting the fuel cell system, it is necessary to replace the fuel gas pipe with the fuel gas, and the fuel gas is allowed to flow with the air release valve (hereinafter referred to as the purge valve) opened to remove the inert gas in the fuel gas. A method of replacing with fuel gas is known.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in such a fuel circulation device, when the operation is resumed from a stopped state in which the fuel gas pipe is filled with an inert gas such as air or nitrogen, a gas other than hydrogen is present in the fuel gas pipe. If it remains, there is a problem that the performance of the fuel cell is significantly reduced.
[0005]
Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a fuel cell system capable of replacing a gas other than hydrogen filled in a fuel gas pipe with a fuel gas in a short time.
[0006]
[Means for solving problems]
According to a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a fuel supply path for supplying fuel gas to a fuel electrode of a fuel cell, and an off-gas discharged from the fuel electrode of the fuel cell as a driving flow from the circulation path to the fuel supply path. And a purge line provided for discharging off-gas from the fuel cell to the outside of the system. The amount of fuel gas supplied at the time of start-up is determined by the fuel gas flowing backward from the ejector through the circulation path. The gas flowing in the circulation path is discharged from the purge line by setting the flow range toward the fuel cell.
[0007]
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect, the fuel gas supply amount is increased after a predetermined time from the start so that the off-gas of the fuel electrode of the fuel cell flows through the circulation path from the fuel cell toward the ejector. To do.
[0008]
According to a third invention, in the second invention, an adjustment valve for adjusting a supply amount of the fuel gas to the fuel cell is provided, and the predetermined flow time is determined so that the integrated flow rate of the fuel gas is from the adjustment valve to the outlet of the fuel cell. More than the time which becomes equal to the volume of the flow path through which the fuel gas flows and the circulation path.
[0009]
According to a fourth invention, in the first invention, a gas concentration sensor is installed in the circulation path, and after judging that the circulation path is filled with hydrogen gas from the concentration of gas flowing through the circulation path, the fuel gas Is increased so that the off-gas of the fuel electrode of the fuel cell flows through the circulation path from the fuel cell toward the ejector.
[0010]
According to a fifth invention, in any one of the first to fourth inventions, a circulation ratio, which is a ratio of a supply amount of the fuel gas supplied to the ejector and an off-gas flow rate circulated to the ejector, is the fuel cell. The supply amount of the fuel gas supplied at the start-up is determined so as to coincide with the volume ratio of the flow path through which the fuel gas flows to the inlet and the circulation path.
[0011]
[Action and effect]
According to the first invention, the amount of fuel gas supplied at the time of start-up is set to a range in which the fuel gas flows backward from the ejector toward the fuel cell, so that the gas that has filled the circulation path and the fuel supply path Since both flow from the ejector toward the purge line, the air in the pipe can be reliably purged in a short time.
[0012]
According to the second invention, the fuel gas supply amount is set so that the off-gas of the fuel electrode of the fuel cell flows through the circulation path from the fuel cell to the ejector after a predetermined time from the start-up. Fuel gas necessary for power generation or a mixed gas of fuel gas and off gas can be supplied to the fuel cell.
[0013]
According to the third aspect of the present invention, the predetermined time is set to be equal to or longer than the time when the integrated flow rate of the fuel gas is equal to the volume of the flow path and the circulation path through which the fuel gas flows from the regulator valve to the fuel cell outlet. Power generation can be started after the gas other than the fuel gas is often replaced with the fuel gas.
[0014]
According to the fourth invention, it is possible to purge the gas other than the fuel gas reliably and in a short time by determining that the fuel gas is filled based on the concentration of the gas flowing through the circulation path. The startup time can be shortened.
[0015]
According to the fifth invention, the circulation rate is determined by determining the supply amount of the fuel gas supplied at the start-up so that the circulation ratio matches the volume ratio of the circulation path and the flow path of the fuel gas to the fuel cell inlet. Since the fuel gas replacement in the passage is completed almost simultaneously with the fuel gas replacement in the fuel supply passage, efficient fuel gas replacement is possible.
[0016]
