本発明は、フロントフェンダ正面にヘッドライトを備えるスクータ型自動二輪車に関する。

【従来の技術】
一般に自動二輪車においては、ヘッドライトのエイミング調整ができるよう構成されているが、特にフロントフェンダ正面にヘッドライトを備えるスクータ型自動二輪車では、ヘッドライトのエイミング調整はフロントフェンダ手前側に設けられたリッドを開けて行われたり、或はフロントフェンダと前輪との隙間から工具を差し込むことによって行われていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上記従来のヘッドライトのエイミング調整によれば、フロントフェンダにエイミング調整用の開口を設ける必要があったり、或は調整の作業性が悪いという問題があった。

本発明は上記問題に鑑みてなされたもので、その目的とする処は、ヘッドライトのエイミング調整を既存の開口部を利用して作業性良く容易に行うことができるスクータ型自動二輪車を提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するため、請求項1記載の発明は、フロントフェンダ正面にヘッドライトを配置し、同フロントフェンダ正面の前記ヘッドライトの下方にホーン開口部を形成して成るスクータ型自動二輪車において、前記ヘッドライトのエイミング調整を前記ホーン開口部から行うよう構成したことを特徴とする。

又、請求項2記載の発明は、請求項1記載の発明において、前記ヘッドライトのボディに対して傾動自在に支持されたリフレクタの一部にナット部材を傾動自在に長孔係合せしめ、ボディに回転自在に挿通されたボルト部材を前記ナット部材に螺合せしめるとともに、該ボルト部材の頭部を前記ホーン開口部に臨ませたことを特徴とする。

本発明によれば、フロントフェンダ正面に開口するホーン開口部から工具を差し込むことによってヘッドライトのエイミング調整を行うことができるため、調整のための開口部を付加することなく、既存の開口部を利用してヘッドライトのエイミング調整を行うことができる。又、ホーン開口部の周囲には障害物が存在しないため、ヘッドライトのエイミング調整を作業性良く容易に行うことができる。

以下に本発明の一実施例を添付図面に基づいて説明する。

図1は本発明に係るスクータ型自動二輪車前部の破断側面図、図2はヘッドライトの正面図、図3、図4、図5はそれぞれ図2のA−A線、B−B線、C−C線断面図である。

図1において、1はスクータ型自動二輪車の車体前部を覆う樹脂製のフロントフェンダであって、該フロントフェンダ1内に収納された不図示のヘッドパイプには不図示のステアリング軸が回動自在に挿通している。そして、このステアリング軸の上端にはハンドル2が結着され、同ステアリング軸の下端にはフロントフォーク3が結着されており、該フロントフォーク3の下端部には前輪4が回転自在に軸支されている。

ところで、本実施例に係るスクータ型自動二輪車においては、前記フロントフェンダ1の正面上部の車幅方向中央部にヘッドライト5が取り付けられており、同フロントフェンダ1の正面の前記ヘッドライト5の下方にはルーバー状のホーン開口部6が形成されている。

ここで、上記ヘッドライト5の構成とそのエイミング調整構成の詳細を図2乃至図5に基づいて説明する。

図3乃至図5に示すように、ヘッドライト5は車体前方に向かって開口するボックス状のボディ7を有しており、該ボディ7はこれの上部左右及び両側部に突設された取付ブラケット8,9(図2参照)に挿通するビス10によってフロントフェンダ1に螺着されている(図5参照)。そして、このボディ7の開口部周縁には車幅方向に長い透明のレンズ11が嵌め込まれており、該レンズ11の前面はフロントフェンダ1の正面に露出している。

次に、ヘッドライと5のエイミング調整機構の構成について説明する。

図4に示すように、前記リフレクタ12の一側(車体正面に向かって右側(図2参照))の底部に一体に突設されたボス部12aにはブラケット15がビス16によって締着されており、該ブラケット15に形成された縦方向に長い長孔15aにはセルフロッキングナット17が傾動自在に係合している。

一方、図4に示すように、前記ボディ7の底面には、前記ブラケット15の車体前方(図4の左方)に位置するブラケット7aが下方に向かって一体に突設されており、該ブラケット7aにはボルト18が車体前方から回転自在に挿通されている。そして、このボルト18は前記ブラケット15に長孔係合するセルフロッキングナット17に螺合挿通しており、その頭部18aはフロントフェンダ1の正面に開口する前記ホーン開口部6に臨んでいる。尚、ボルト18の外周であって、ブラケット7aとセルフロッキングナット17との間にはスプリング19が縮装されており、該スプリング19の付勢力によってボルト18のブラケット7aからの抜け止めが図られている。

而して、本実施例に係るスクータ型自動二輪車においては、ヘッドライト5のエイミング調整はフロントフェンダ1の正面に開口するホーン開口部6を利用して次のようになされる。

即ち、前述のようにホーン開口部6にはエイミング調整機構のボルト18の頭部が臨んでいるため、ヘッドライト5のエイミング調整に際しては、図4に示すようにホーン開口部6にドライバ等の工具20を差し込んで該工具20によってボルト18を左右何れかの方向に回転させれば、セルフロッキングナット17が該ボルト18に沿って車体前後方向に進退動する。すると、図3乃至図5に鎖線にて示すように、ブラケット15とリフレクタ12がボディ7に対してピボット軸13を中心として上下に傾動し、これによってリフレクタ12に取り付けられたバルブ14も一体に同方向に傾動してエイミグ調整がなされる。

以上のように、本実施例においては、フロントフェンダ1の正面に開口するホーン開口部6から工具20を差し込むことによってヘッドライト5のエイミング調整を行うことができるため、調整のための開口部を付加することなく、既存の開口部(ホーン開口部6)を利用してヘッドライト5のエイミング調整を行うことができる。
