電気炊飯器は、勿論名の如く飯を炊くものであるから水と米を収容した鍋に蓋を被せてヒータにより加熱或は誘導加熱コイルによるうず電流で鍋を発熱させて炊飯を実行するものである。

前述の蓋(内蓋)は、蓋体の下面中央部に設けたボスにシリコンゴム製のブッシングを係合して装着し、取り外し時には蓋の外周縁と蓋体の下面との僅かの隙間から指先を入れて蓋の外周縁に指を掛けてブッシングとボスの係合を外すようにしている。
