Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an engine control device that controls the output torque and the number of revolutions of an engine according to a selected shift speed and an accelerator opening in a vehicle such as an automobile when the vehicle starts.
[0002]
[Prior art]
2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, when performing output control of an engine provided in a vehicle such as an automobile, input information (accelerator operation information) from a driver is converted into an electric control signal, and the control is performed via the electric control signal. A so-called drive-by-wire (DBW) method has been developed and put into practical use. According to the control by the DBW, based on not only the accelerator operation information of the driver but also various other input information, the optimum engine control suitable for the operating state of the engine while responding to the driver's request is performed. It is possible.
[0003]
For example, FIG. 11 schematically shows an engine control system using a DBW. As shown in FIG. 11, an electronic control unit (ECU) 102 is provided to control the output of the
[0004]
The ECU 102 has, for example, a control map that determines the value of the output torque with respect to the accelerator opening and the number of revolutions of the engine. The target output torque is set based on the engine speed and the target output torque is determined by performing correction based on other engine information. That is, instead of outputting a torque corresponding to the accelerator pedal depression amount (opening degree) of the driver as it is, a correction according to various operating state information of the engine is performed to output an optimal torque for the current operating condition. It is assumed that.
[0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
By the way, as shown in FIG. 11, the torque output from the
[0006]
For example, in the case of setting the strength of the
The torque includes an impact torque applied to the
[0007]
The same applies to a vehicle equipped with an automatic transmission. The limit strength of the differential mechanism is set by increasing the opening of the accelerator pedal and increasing the engine speed with the neutral position and the parking position selected. In this state, the magnitude of the torque applied to the differential mechanism when shifting to the traveling gear or the reverse gear is used as a reference. In the case of an automatic transmission, since the engine and the automatic transmission are connected by a torque converter instead of the clutch, the connection by the torque converter is looser than the sudden connection of the clutch, and the clutch of the differential mechanism is also sudden. The torque is applied more slowly than at the time of connection. For this reason, the swing-back torque applied shortly after the coupling becomes small, and here, only the impact torque applied at the time of completion of the shift becomes a problem. Therefore, in the case of a vehicle having an automatic transmission, the strength of the differential mechanism is set so as to withstand the maximum value of the impact torque.
[0008]
However, it is rare that the clutch is engaged or the automatic transmission is shifted while the engine is running at a high speed in this manner. The limit strength of the set differential mechanism is too high, and conversely high cost and weight increase due to excessive quality have become issues.
In addition, since the above-described impact torque and swing-back torque act not only on the differential mechanism but also on other drive systems such as the drive shaft, the influence of the above-described impact torque and swing-back torque is also exerted on these drive systems. It is necessary to consider it, and there are problems such as high cost and weight increase due to excessive quality as in the case of the differential mechanism.
[0009]
Of course, if the output torque and rotation speed of the engine are suppressed, the impact torque and the swingback torque acting on the drive system can be reduced even at the time of sudden start, but the maximum output torque of the engine is increased by acceleration. This is because it is necessary to secure a large driving torque to respond to the driver's output request at the time of starting or starting. If the maximum output torque of the engine is suppressed, such an original request cannot be satisfied.

The present invention has been devised in view of such a problem, and determines the presence or absence of an abrupt start request of a driving vehicle before and after starting, and variably controls the output torque and the number of revolutions of the engine, so that the load applied to the drive system is reduced. It is an object of the present invention to provide an engine control device in which the engine speed does not become excessive.
[0011]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, in the engine control device according to the first aspect of the present invention, the output torque and the number of revolutions of the engine are controlled based on a command from a driver, and the output rotation of the engine is controlled via a clutch. The power is transmitted from the engine to the transmission, the rotational speed is increased or decreased according to the selected gear, and output to the front and rear or left and right drive wheels via the differential mechanism and the drive shaft. When it is determined that there is a gear and when the gear position detecting means detects that the selected gear position is a low speed position, the engine speed limiting means limits the engine speed to a predetermined value or less, and the clutch speed at high speed is reduced. This prevents connection and prevents excessive impact torque from being applied to the transmission, differential mechanism, drive shaft, and drive wheels.
[0012]
The engine speed limiting means releases the engine speed limiting when the clutch connection detecting means detects the clutch connection, but when the sudden acceleration request determining means determines that there is a sudden acceleration request, the output torque limiting means sets The output torque of the engine is maintained for a predetermined time to prevent excessive swing-back torque from being applied to the transmission, the differential mechanism, the drive shaft, and the drive wheels.
[0013]
In the engine control device according to the second aspect of the present invention, the output torque and the rotation speed of the engine are controlled by the engine rotation speed control means based on a command from the driver, and the output rotation of the engine is transmitted to the engine via the clutch. The power is transmitted to the connected transmission, the rotational speed is increased or decreased according to the selected shift speed, and output to the front / rear or left / right drive wheels via a differential mechanism and a drive shaft. The means controls the output torque and the number of revolutions of the engine based on the first storage means.
[0014]
On the other hand, when the stop determination means determines that the vehicle is in the stopped state and the shift speed detection means detects that the selected shift speed is the low speed, the engine speed control means determines the same accelerator pedal opening. When the comparison is made, the output torque and the rotation speed of the engine are controlled based on the second storage means in which the characteristics inferior to the characteristics stored in the first storage means are stored. This prevents connection and prevents excessive impact torque from being applied to the transmission, differential mechanism, drive shaft, and drive wheels.
[0015]
The engine speed control means controls the output torque and the engine speed of the engine again based on the first storage means when the clutch connection detection means detects the engagement of the clutch. When it is determined that there is a request, the output torque limiting means holds the output torque of the engine for a predetermined period of time to prevent excessive swing-back torque from being applied to the transmission, the differential mechanism, the drive shaft, and the drive wheels.

Further, upon detecting the driver's sudden acceleration request in the sudden acceleration request determination means 53, it is determined whether the accelerator opening is equal to or more than a predetermined value as described above, and the accelerator opening speed is calculated by calculating the accelerator opening speed. The determination may be made based on whether it is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, or the determination may be made based on both the accelerator opening and the accelerator opening speed.
In addition, it is of course possible to apply not only to the diesel engine of each of the above-described embodiments, but also to a gasoline engine. In this case, the throttle valve controller drives and controls the throttle control servomotor according to the target throttle opening, The engine torque can be controlled by adjusting the opening of the throttle valve (throttle opening) provided in the intake passage. Further, the throttle valve controller can perform feedback control of the throttle control servomotor based on a throttle opening signal detected by a throttle position sensor (TPS) provided in the throttle valve.
[0085]
【The invention's effect】
As described above in detail, according to the vehicle output torque control device of the present invention, when the vehicle is stopped and the low speed stage is selected, the engine speed is limited by the engine speed limiting means. Since it is prevented from exceeding the predetermined value, even when the clutch opening is started by increasing the accelerator opening, it is possible to reduce the impact torque applied to the drive system such as the transmission, the differential mechanism, and the drive shaft. . Therefore, it is not necessary to perform excessive reinforcement in consideration of destruction due to excessive torque when the clutch is connected, so that a rational design of the drive system is possible, which contributes to a reduction in the weight and cost of the drive system.
[0086]
Then, when the clutch is engaged, the restriction of the engine speed by the engine speed limiting means is released, so that the engine speed can be increased in accordance with the accelerator opening, giving the driver an uncomfortable feeling. However, sufficient acceleration performance can be obtained.
In addition, when the accelerator pedal is depressed greatly even after the clutch is connected, the engine torque at the time when the accelerator pedal is depressed is held by the output torque limiting means, so that after a while the clutch is connected, the drive system is not operated. The applied swing-back torque can also be kept low, eliminating the need for excessive reinforcement in consideration of destruction due to excessive swing-back torque, enabling a rational design of the drive system, and contributing to a reduction in drive system weight and cost. can do.
[0087]
Then, after the lapse of a predetermined time, the holding of the engine torque is released, and the output of the engine torque according to the accelerator opening and the engine speed becomes possible, so that a sufficient acceleration ability can be obtained.
According to the vehicle output torque control device of the present invention, when the vehicle is in a stopped state and the low gear is selected, the engine speed control means controls the engine speed based on the second storage means. Although the speed is controlled, this second storage means stores a characteristic that the rate of increase of the engine output torque with respect to the accelerator opening is small, so that the accelerator opening is increased to disconnect the clutch. Even at the start, the impact torque applied to the drive system can be kept low. Therefore, it is not necessary to perform excessive reinforcement in consideration of destruction due to excessive torque when the clutch is connected, so that a rational design of the drive system is possible, which contributes to a reduction in the weight and cost of the drive system.
[0088]
When the clutch is engaged, the engine speed control means controls the engine speed based on the first storage means, but the characteristic stored in the first storage means is the second storage means. The engine output torque with respect to the degree of opening of the accelerator pedal is superior to the characteristics stored in the storage means, so that high output and high rotation are possible, and the driver does not feel uncomfortable and has sufficient acceleration performance. Can be obtained.
[0089]
In addition, when the accelerator pedal is depressed greatly even after the clutch is connected, the engine torque at the time when the accelerator pedal is depressed is held by the output torque limiting means, so that after a while the clutch is connected, the drive system is not operated. The applied swing-back torque can also be kept low, eliminating the need for excessive reinforcement in consideration of destruction due to excessive swing-back torque, enabling a rational design of the drive system, and contributing to a reduction in drive system weight and cost. can do.
[0091]
And After the lapse of the predetermined time, the holding of the engine torque is released, and the engine torque can be output according to the accelerator opening and the engine speed. , Sufficient acceleration ability can be obtained.
