Description

【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a reverse osmosis membrane spiral element for separating components in raw water and a treatment system using the same.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Reverse osmosis membrane spiral elements for separating ionic components and low molecular components in raw water are used in desalination treatments and various production processes. FIG. 3 is a partially cutaway perspective view of a conventional reverse osmosis membrane spiral element.
[0003]
The reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1 shown in FIG. 3 forms an envelope-like membrane (bag-like membrane) 4 by superposing the reverse osmosis membrane 2 on both sides of the permeated water spacer 3 and bonding three sides thereof. The opening of the membrane 4 is attached to the water collecting pipe 5, and is wound in a spiral shape around the outer peripheral surface of the water collecting pipe 5 together with the raw water spacer 6 in a net shape (net shape).
[0004]
As shown in FIG. 3, raw water 7 is supplied from one end face of the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1. The raw water 7 flows along the raw water spacer 6 and is discharged as the concentrated water 9 from the other end face of the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1. Thus, the raw water flow path is formed by the raw water spacer 6. While the raw water 7 flows along the raw water spacer 6, the permeated water 8 that has passed through the reverse osmosis membrane 2 flows into the water collecting pipe 5 along the permeated water spacer 3, and is discharged from the end of the water collecting pipe 5.
[0005]
Usually, the thickness of the raw water spacer 6 is 1 mm or less, and the clearance (gap) of the raw water inflow portion on the end face of the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1 is 1 mm or less. Therefore, when supplying raw water to the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1, it is necessary to remove suspended matter in the raw water in advance.
[0006]
FIG. 4 is a diagram showing the configuration of a conventional processing system using the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1 of FIG.
In FIG. 4, an oxidizing agent 12 typified by a sodium hypochlorite aqueous solution is injected into the raw water 7 for sterilizing microorganisms and oxidizing organic substances in the raw water 7. The raw water 7 into which the oxidizing agent 12 has been injected is supplied to the pretreatment device 10 by the raw water supply device 14. The pretreatment device 10 performs pretreatment such as coagulation and sedimentation, filtration, and membrane treatment on the raw water 7. A reducing agent 13 typified by an aqueous sodium bisulfite solution is injected into the raw water pretreated by the pretreatment device 10 in order to prevent the reverse osmosis membrane from deteriorating due to the residual oxidizing agent. The raw water into which the reducing agent 13 has been injected is introduced into the raw water high-pressure supply device 15.
[0007]
The raw water high-pressure supply device 15 supplies raw water to the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1 via the security filter 11 at a predetermined operating pressure. The reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1 separates the supplied raw water into permeated water 8 and concentrated water 9.
[0008]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
As described above, when using the conventional reverse osmosis membrane spiral element, it is necessary to remove turbidity in raw water in advance by the pretreatment device 10 shown in FIG. Further, since the reverse osmosis membrane generally requires a high operating pressure of 10 kgf / cm 2 or more, when using the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element, the raw water high-pressure supply device 15 shown in FIG. 4 is required. As described above, since the pretreatment device 10 and the raw water high-pressure supply device 15 are required, the treatment system has a high initial cost and a high operation cost. Therefore, the conventional treatment system has been limited to applications where high cost is allowed, such as an ultrapure water production system and an organic matter separation process.
[0009]
On the other hand, in recent years, river water, lake water, groundwater, and the like, which are raw water for drinking water, are contaminated with domestic wastewater, industrial wastewater, and the like, and providing safe drinking water has become an important study topic. Among these pollutants, it is indispensable to remove dissolved components which cannot be removed by the turbidity treatment, in particular, organic chlorine compounds, pesticides and the like which are harmful to the human body. In order to remove these harmful substances, a reverse osmosis membrane having high separation performance is required. However, in the treatment system using the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element, as described above, the pretreatment device 10 and the raw water high-pressure supply device 15 are required, and the cost is high. Was difficult.
[0010]
Therefore, there has been a strong demand for a reverse osmosis membrane spiral element which requires no pretreatment and can be operated at a low operating pressure, and a processing system using the same.
An object of the present invention is to provide a reverse osmosis membrane spiral element which requires no pretreatment and can be operated at a low operating pressure, and a treatment system using the same.
[0011]
Means for Solving the Problems and Effects of the Invention
The reverse osmosis membrane spiral element according to the present invention is a reverse osmosis membrane spiral element in which a bag-like reverse osmosis membrane is wound around an outer peripheral surface of a water collection pipe together with a raw water spacer. When the thickness of the water channel is 2 mm or more and the reverse osmosis membrane is operated at an operating pressure of 7.5 kgf / cm 2 using an aqueous solution having a NaCl concentration of 500 ppm as a feed liquid, the permeation flux is 0.8 m 3 / m at 25 ° C. It has a performance of 2 days and a NaCl removal rate of 99% or more.
[0012]
In the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element according to the present invention, since the thickness of the raw water flow path is 2 mm or more, the blockage of the raw water flow path due to turbidity is prevented. When the reverse osmosis membrane is operated at an operating pressure of 7.5 kgf / cm 2 using an aqueous solution having a NaCl concentration of 500 ppm as a supply liquid, the permeation flux at 25 ° C. becomes 0.8 m 3 / m 2 · day or more, and NaCl is removed. Since it has a performance of 99% or more, it can be operated at a low operating pressure of 10 kgf / cm 2 or less while maintaining the conventional separation performance.
[0013]
Thereby, the pretreatment and the reverse osmosis membrane treatment at a low operating pressure can be performed simultaneously with the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element. Therefore, a pretreatment device and a raw water high pressure supply device are not required, and a treatment system with low initial cost and low operation cost is provided.
[0014]
In particular, it is preferable that the raw water spacer is a net-shaped spacer made of synthetic resin and has a thickness of 2 mm or more. This makes it possible to secure a raw water flow path having a thickness of 2 mm or more while reducing pressure loss, and thus it is possible to reliably prevent the raw water flow path from being blocked by turbid matter. More preferably, the raw water spacer has a thickness of 2 mm or more and 5 mm or less. Thereby, it is possible to prevent the raw water flow path from being blocked by the turbid matter while securing a large membrane area.
[0015]
Further, the reverse osmosis membrane comprises a negatively-charged crosslinked polyamide skin layer comprising a compound having two or more reactive amino groups and a polyfunctional acid halide having two or more reactive acid halide groups. A composite reverse osmosis membrane, which is supported by a microporous support and whose surface is covered with a cross-linked layer of an organic polymer having a positively-chargeable group, wherein the polyamide-based skin layer has a specific surface area of 3 It is preferable that it is above. Thereby, when operating at an operating pressure of 7.5 kgf / cm 2 using an aqueous solution having a NaCl concentration of 500 ppm as a feed liquid, the permeation flux at 25 ° C. becomes 0.8 m 3 / m 2 · day or more, and the NaCl removal rate is 99%. The above performance is obtained.
[0016]
The treatment system according to the present invention comprises: an oxidizing agent injecting unit that injects an oxidizing agent into the raw water; a reducing agent injecting unit that injects the reducing agent into the raw water into which the oxidizing agent is injected by the oxidizing agent injecting unit; The reverse osmosis membrane spiral element to which the raw water into which the reducing agent is injected is supplied.
[0017]
In this treatment system, the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element is prevented from blocking the raw water flow path due to turbidity, and can be operated at a low operating pressure of 10 kgf / cm 2 or less while maintaining the conventional separation performance. Therefore, the pretreatment and the reverse osmosis membrane treatment at a low operating pressure are simultaneously performed in the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element. Therefore, a pretreatment device and a raw water high-pressure supply device become unnecessary, and initial costs and operation costs are reduced.
[0018]
BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
Hereinafter, an example of a reverse osmosis membrane spiral element and a processing system using the same according to the present invention will be described. The overall structure of the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element of the present invention is the same as the structure of the conventional reverse osmosis membrane spiral element shown in FIG. 3, but the raw water spacer and the reverse osmosis membrane are different. First, an example of a reverse osmosis membrane spiral element according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.
[0019]
In the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1 of the present invention, the reverse osmosis membrane 2 is overlapped on both surfaces of a permeated water spacer 3 made of a synthetic resin net, and three sides are adhered to form an envelope-shaped membrane (bag-shaped membrane) 4. Then, the opening of the envelope-shaped membrane 4 is attached to the water collecting pipe 5, and is spirally wound around the outer peripheral surface of the water collecting pipe 5 together with the raw water spacer 6 made of a synthetic resin net.
[0020]
The raw water flow path is formed by the raw water spacer 6. Therefore, by increasing the thickness of the raw water spacer 6, it is possible to prevent the raw water flow path from being blocked even when turbidity flows. On the other hand, if the thickness of the raw water spacer 6 is too large, the amount of the reverse osmosis membrane 2 that can be wound with the same diameter decreases, and the membrane area decreases. Therefore, the thickness of the raw water spacer 6 is preferably 2 mm or more and 5 mm or less.
[0021]
The reverse osmosis membrane 2 constituting the envelope-shaped membrane 4 has a negative charge comprising a compound having two or more reactive amino groups and a polyfunctional acid halogen compound having two or more reactive acid halide groups. Crosslinking of an organic polymer having a specific surface area of a polyamide skin layer of 3 or more and a surface of the polyamide skin layer comprising a positively chargeable group, comprising a crosslinked polyamide skin layer and a microporous support supporting the same. A composite reverse osmosis membrane coated with a layer is used.
[0022]
The specific surface area of the polyamide skin layer on the surface of the composite reverse osmosis membrane is defined by the following equation.
Specific surface area of skin layer = (surface area of skin layer) / (surface area of microporous support)
Here, the surface area of the skin layer is the surface area of the surface opposite to the surface in contact with the microporous support, that is, the surface of the surface in contact with the supply liquid. The surface area of the microporous support is the surface area of the surface in contact with the skin layer.
[0023]
The surface area and the specific surface area can be generally determined by using a method for determining the surface roughness, for example, a surface area measuring device, a specific surface area measuring device, a scanning electron microscope (SEM or FE-SEM), a transmission electron microscope. (TEM) or the like. The measuring methods of the surface area and the specific surface area are not limited to these.
[0024]
The reverse osmosis membrane 2 used in the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1 of the present invention has a permeation flux of 0.8 m at 25 ° C. when operated at an operating pressure of 7.5 kgf / cm 2 using an aqueous solution having a NaCl concentration of 500 ppm as a supply liquid. 3 / m 2 · day or more, and has a basic performance of a NaCl removal rate of 99% or more. Thereby, in the reverse osmosis membrane 2 of the present invention, the operation pressure is reduced to half or less while maintaining the same NaCl removal rate as compared with the conventional reverse osmosis membrane. That is, when the reverse osmosis membrane 2 of the present invention is operated at the same operation pressure as that of the conventional reverse osmosis membrane, a permeation flux of twice or more can be obtained.
[0025]
Further, the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1 is subjected to cross-flow filtration on the side of the raw water 7, and is appropriately subjected to flushing cleaning or bubble flow cleaning, and is subjected to permeated water back pressure cleaning on the side of the permeated water 8. 2 can be peeled from the film surface. Thereby, stable pretreatment and reverse osmosis membrane treatment can be realized.
[0026]
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a configuration of a processing system using a reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1 according to the present invention.
An oxidizing agent 12 such as, for example, an aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite is injected into the raw water 7 for sterilizing microorganisms and oxidizing organic substances in the raw water. In order to prevent the reverse osmosis membrane 2 from deteriorating due to the residual oxidizing agent, a reducing agent 13 such as an aqueous sodium bisulfite solution is injected into the raw water 7 into which the oxidizing agent 12 has been injected. The raw water 7 into which the reducing agent 13 has been injected is supplied to the raw water supply device 16. The raw water supply device 16 supplies the raw water 7 to the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1 of the present invention via the security filter 11. Reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1 separates raw water 7 into permeated water 8 and concentrated water 9.
[0027]
In the treatment system of FIG. 1, the pretreatment and the reverse osmosis treatment at a low operating pressure are simultaneously performed in the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1 of the present invention. Therefore, in order to remove turbidity in raw water, a pretreatment device for performing pretreatments such as coagulation and sedimentation treatment, filtration treatment, and membrane treatment and a raw water high-pressure supply device become unnecessary, and initial costs and operation costs are reduced. .
[0028]
【Example】
The reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1 of the example having the above-described structure was manufactured and operated using the processing system shown in FIG.
[0029]
In this example, the reverse osmosis membrane 2 was manufactured by the following method. Note that a polysulfone ultrafiltration membrane was used as the microporous support.
An aqueous solution containing 3.0% by weight of m-phenylenediamine, 0.15% by weight of sodium lauryl sulfate, 3.0% by weight of triethylamine, 6.0% by weight of camphorsulfonic acid and 5% by weight of isopropyl alcohol Then, it was brought into contact with the porous polysulfone support membrane for several seconds to remove the excess solution and form a layer of the solution on the support membrane.
[0030]
Next, an IP1016 (isoparaffin-based hydrocarbon oil manufactured by Idemitsu Chemical Co., Ltd.) solution containing 0.20% by weight of trimesic acid chloride and 0.05% by weight of isopropyl alcohol was brought into contact with the surface of the support film, and then 120 ° C. For 3 minutes to form a polymer thin film on the support membrane to obtain a composite reverse osmosis membrane.
[0031]
In the present embodiment, a 2 mm-thick synthetic resin net was used as the raw water spacer 6.
The operating conditions of the treatment system in FIG. 1 were as follows: river water having a turbidity of 10 degrees or less was used as raw water, the operating pressure was 5 kgf / cm 2, and the recovery by cross-flow filtration was 80%. In addition, flushing cleaning was performed once an hour, and permeated water back pressure cleaning was performed.
[0032]
FIG. 2 shows an operation result of the treatment system using the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1 of the present embodiment.
As shown in FIG. 2, a relatively stable operation was possible without a pretreatment over a long period of about six months. The water quality of the permeated water of the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1 sufficiently conforms to the 46 items of the tap water quality standard. The turbidity showed a removal rate of 100%, and the organic matter showed a removal rate of 99% or more. In addition, since it was possible to operate at a low operating pressure of 5 kgf / cm 2 without pretreatment, maintenance costs and required power costs were reduced, and drinking water having safe water quality was obtained with a relatively simple treatment system. I knew it could be done.
[0033]
As described above, since the pretreatment and the reverse osmosis membrane treatment at a low operating pressure can be simultaneously performed in the reverse osmosis membrane spiral element 1, a treatment system capable of performing the reverse osmosis membrane treatment at low cost is provided.
