TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention provides a long-term removal performance of volatile organic substances dissolved in tap water or well water, particularly chloroform, dichlorobromomethane, trihalomethane, and volatile organic halon such as 1,1,1-trichloroethane, trichloroethylene, and tetrachloroethylene. It relates to a water purifier that can be maintained well.
[0002]
[Prior art]
In recent years, attention has been paid to environmental pollution of water resources, and tap water and well water are not an exception of pollution, and water purifiers for purifying tap water and well water have been frequently used.
As a conventional water purifier used for this kind of application, a cylindrical cartridge body is generally filled with activated carbon for removing chlorine for disinfection. In the early stage of use, volatile organic substances dissolved in water could be removed well by the activated carbon.
[0003]
However, in this type of conventional water purifier, the removal performance of volatile organic substances by activated carbon drops sharply as the flow rate of raw water increases, so that the performance of removing volatile organic substances is maintained well over a long period of time. As a means for performing this, (1) a method of using a large amount of activated carbon filled in the water purifier, (2) a method of reducing the flow rate of raw water passing through the water purifier, and the like are adopted. In addition, (3) aeration method using an aeration tower for water treatment, deaeration method using a deaeration membrane, and the like are methods of removing volatile organic substances from water using a partial pressure difference between a liquid phase and a gas phase. Are known.
[0004]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in the case of using a large amount of activated carbon (1) among the means for maintaining the performance of removing volatile organic substances from water for a long time, the water purifier becomes large in size, so that it is installed in a kitchen or the like. When used as a water purifier, there is a problem that it interferes with kitchen work and increases pressure loss.
Further, in the water purifier of (2) in which the flow rate of water in the water purifier is slowed down, the flow rate becomes too low in practice. It has to be used in large quantities, and there are problems such as an increase in the size of the water purifier and an increase in pressure loss.
Further, in the aeration method and the deaeration method using the partial pressure difference between the liquid phase and the gaseous phase in (3), the apparatus becomes large, and a blower pump, a decompression pump, etc. used for removing volatile substances in water are used. And the need for electric power to drive it. Further, by performing aspirator treatment on water, volatile organic substances contained in water can be removed, but in this case, sufficient removal performance is obtained unless the distance from the mixed portion of water and gas to the treated water discharge port is long. Was not practical.
[0005]
In view of the above problems, an object of the present invention is to provide a water purifier that is compact, does not require a decompression pump or the like, and can maintain good performance of removing volatile organic substances contained in water for a long period of time. .
[0006]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The water purifier of the present invention comprises an aspirator provided with a raw water supply port, a gas intake port opened to the atmosphere, and a water and gas mixture discharge port, and a hydrophobic porous hollow fiber capable of transmitting gas without transmitting water. A hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane module having a structure in which a membrane is used as a partition and the open end of the hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane is open to the atmosphere, and is provided with a water and gas mixture supply port and a volatile substance removal water discharge port. A water and gas mixture supply port of the hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane module is connected to a water and gas mixture discharge port of the aspirator. A vessel is a means for solving the above-mentioned problem.
Further, in the present invention, the volatile substance-removed water inlet of a water-purification cartridge filled with at least activated carbon is connected to the volatile substance-removed water discharge port of the hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane module of the water purifier. By using a water purifier, the above problem was solved more efficiently.
Further, in the present invention, by providing an air filter for purifying air at a gas inlet of the aspirator of the water purifier, contamination by outside air can be prevented.

[0032]
From the results of Example 1 and Comparative Example 1 shown in Table 1 above, the aspirator of Example 1 and the hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane exhibited the same removal performance as when the aspirator aeration and the gas exchange distance were 60 cm. It became clear that this can be achieved by the module. Also, from the results of Example 2 and Comparative Example 2 shown in Table 2 above, Example 2 according to the present invention has a longer chloroform removal performance than Comparative Example 2 having a structure equivalent to a conventional water purifier. It became clear that it could be maintained at a high level.
Therefore, according to the present invention, the water purifier provided with the aspirator and the hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane module can efficiently remove volatile organic substances contained in raw water, and furthermore, the water purifier can be simply attached to a conventional water purification cartridge. Thus, the life of the activated carbon can be extended. In addition, it is necessary to design a very compact and low-cost device that does not require a blower pump or a decompression pump, such as an aeration device using an aeration tower or a deaeration device using a deaeration membrane, and that does not require electric power. It is possible.
It was also confirmed that when raw water having a slight mold odor was passed through the aspirator and the hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane module shown in FIG. 1, mold odor was no longer felt from the purified water.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, the water purifier of the present invention includes an aspirator and a hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane module having a structure in which an open end of a hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane is open to the atmosphere. Since the water and gas mixture supply ports of the hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane module are connected to the gas mixture discharge port, when the raw water to be purified such as tap water or well water flows from the raw water supply port of the aspirator section, In the aspirator, air is stirred into the raw water in the form of air bubbles, and the volatile organic matter in the raw water moves to the gas phase due to the partial pressure difference between the liquid phase and the gas phase, and the volatile organic substances volatilize from the raw water in the liquid phase Then, water containing bubbles to which the volatile organic substances have moved is supplied from the water and gas mixture discharge port into the hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane module. Then, the water containing the air bubbles contacts the outer surface of the hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane in the hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane module, and only the air bubbles existing in the water containing the air bubbles are rapidly converted to the hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane. After passing through the hollow fiber membrane and moving to the hollow part, the hollow fiber membrane is discharged to the atmosphere from both open ends, so that the volatile organic substances moved from the raw water to the bubbles are discharged to the atmosphere with the bubbles. , Stable removal performance can be exhibited.
[0034]
Further, in the water purifier of the present invention, the volatile substance-removed water inlet of the water purification cartridge filled with activated carbon is connected to the volatile substance-removed water discharge port of the hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane module. Even if volatile organic substances and chlorine, etc. that could not be completely removed by the part and the hydrophobic porous hollow fiber membrane module are present in the water, the remaining volatile organic substances, chlorine, etc. can be removed and exist in the water. Since turbidity components, various germs and the like can also be removed, more safe and sanitary water can be provided to the user.
Further, in the water purifier of the present invention, by further providing an air filter at the gas suction port of the aspirator section, dust and the like in the air sucked into the aspirator section are captured by the air filter, and the dust and the like in the air in the raw water. Can be prevented from mixing. Therefore, according to the present invention, it is possible to provide a water purifier that is compact, does not require electric power of a decompression pump or the like, and can maintain the performance of removing volatile organic substances satisfactorily for a long period of time.
