本発明は、マスクやレチクル(以下「マスク」という)に塵埃等が付着するのを防止する目的で用いられるマスク保護装置を収納するケースに関し、ことにマスク保護装置が装着されるケース本体と、上蓋と、四隅においてケース本体に上蓋を止めるためのクリップとよりなるマスク保護装置の収納ケースに関する。

【従来技術】
集積回路の製造工程におけるフォトリソグラフィ工程では、マスク上に塵埃等が付着すると、これが半導体ウェハに投影され、不良製品となりがちである。この問題を解消し、マスク上に異物等が付着するの防止するため、マスクパターンを囲う大きさの枠の一側面に透明な薄膜を張設し、他側端面をマスク上に粘着テープ等の接着手段により接着してマスクを薄膜により一定の間隔を存して覆うようにしたマスク保護装置が供されるようになった。

こうしたマスク保護装置は出荷して使用に供されるまで通常、塵埃等が付着することのないように収納ケースに入れられて保管し、運搬される。
図1は、従来用いられてきたこの種の収納ケースについて示すもので、中央部にマスク保護装置1が位置決めして装着される台2を突状に形成したケース本体3と、ケース本体上に被せて装着され、マスク保護装置の枠周縁を押える押え部4を形成した上蓋5とよりなっており、ケース本体3に上蓋5を被せて固定するときには、図2に示すようなクリップ6を用い、これを図3に示すようにケース本体3と、ケース本体3に被せた上蓋5との四隅にそれぞれ嵌合して取付けていた。図中、7はクリップを押し込んだのち、蓋周縁のリブ8によって抜け止めれるストッパーである。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
マスク保護装置を格納したケースは、保管若しくは運搬時に通常、図1に示すように、上蓋5に段状をなして形成される凸部9を台2によって形成される凹部10に嵌合した状態で多段に重ねられるが、段数が多くなると、その自重により下層部の上蓋5が撓んで格納するマスク保護装置の薄膜に接触するおそれがある。

本発明は、多段に積み重ねても自重により上蓋が撓んでマスク保護装置に接触することのないように、一定の間隔を存して積み重ねることができるようなマスク保護装置の収納ケースを提供することを目的とする。

【課題の解決手段】
本発明の収納ケースはそのため、マスク保護装置が位置決めして装着される矩形状のケース本体と、ケース本体に被せて装着され、マスク保護装置の枠周縁を押える押え部を形成した矩形状の上蓋と、四隅においてケース本体に装着される上蓋とケース本体とに嵌挿され、両者を連結する台形状のクリップを備えたマスク保護装置の収納ケースにおいて、上記クリップの上下の少なくとも一方の側に積み重ねた収納ケース間に間隙を形成するための突条をなすスペーサを突設したことを特徴とする。

ケース本体に上蓋を装着し、その四隅においてクリップにより固定した収納ケースを積み重ねたとき、スペーサが収納ケースを一定の間隔に保ち、収納ケース同志を直接接触させない。しかもスペーサは収納ケースの比較的剛性を有する隅に設けられるため、上方からの重みによる収納ケースの変形が生じにくい。

またスペーサを突条にしたことにより、収納ケースを積み重ねたときの安定性が増し、クリップの各斜辺に沿って一対形成すれば、安定性がより向上する。またクリップの各斜辺に沿って形成される突条をクリップの上下に設ければ、四隅のクリップの突条をその下側のクリップの突条に嵌合状態にすることができ、これにより上下に重ねた収納ケースの動きを拘束して位置ずれをなくすか、位置ずれを一定範囲にとゞめることができる。この場合、クリップによる固定機能を損なわないようにするには、突条の位置を上下で変え、上側の突条が下側の突条に内側より或いは外側より係合させるようにする必要がある。なお、突条に位置ずれ防止機能を持たせるには、上下いづれか一方の突条は他方の突条に単に係合できるような形状になっていればよいため、スペーサとしての機能を有する他方の突条より低くするのが望ましく、また突条に代え、短いピンを用いてもよい。

図4〜図6に示すクリップ11は、樹脂製で、上述のクリップ6と同様、上下方向から見て台形状をなし、上側には斜辺に隣接して低い突条12よりも内側に位置する箇所に高い突条13をそれぞれハ状に突出形成し、短辺側にはテーパ状をなす突状のストッパー7を下向きに、また該ストッパー7に対向する位置に低い突部15を形成してなるもので、図1に示すケース本体3と、該本体3に装着される上蓋5を固定するときには、従来例と同様、クリップ11の長辺側よりケース本体3と上蓋5の角に押込む。すると、クリップ11が変形しながらストッパー7が蓋周縁のリブ8を乗り越え、リブ8の内側に嵌合して抜け止めとなり、また突部15がケース本体3に下側より押付けられて止められるようになっている。

本発明は以上のように構成され、次のような効果を奏する。
