Description of the Related Art In order to eliminate growth disorders caused by calcium deficiency in crops, a leaf surface absorption method of dissolving calcium salts in water and spraying the leaves on plants to absorb calcium and the like from the leaves has already been carried out. Various calcium foliar sprays have been proposed. For example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 1-1574
No. 91 discloses that the use of a calcium salt together with an organic or inorganic acid salt of chlorhexidine can promote absorption of the calcium salt. Here, calcium salts and monobasic calcium phosphate are mentioned as calcium salts. JP-B-62-28117 discloses a foliar spray fertilizer containing calcium formate as an active ingredient.
Calcium formate has better solubility and does not adversely affect plants as compared with the case where calcium phosphate or calcium hydroxide is used.

For example, JP-A-53-27564 discloses that a calcium nitrate fertilizer with low deliquescence can be obtained by providing a gypsum coating layer on the surface of granular calcium nitrate.
187584 discloses a gypsum aqueous solution obtained by adding a small amount of gypsum to water, or a method of fertilizing gypsum as it is. However, when a foliar spray containing calcium chloride as a calcium component is used, there is a problem that chlorine ions are absorbed into the leaves and stems of plants and crops and then cause phytotoxicity. Further, even if calcium sulfate is applied to soil as a normal fertilizer, no significant effect is obtained.
