フラ本体1とした構造のものや、図4で示すように、金
属プレートの両端縁をヘミング加工(はぜ折り)し、こ
れを円筒状にベンディングして外筒2の長手方向にヘミ
ング接合したロックシーム部7を設け、外筒2の両端に
端板3,4を固着して端板3側には排気ガス取り入れ口
5を、また、端板4側には排気ガス出口を形成してマフ
ラ本体1とした構造のものが一般的である。 【0003】 【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、マフラ
本体1内における排気ガスの圧力は高圧であり、この高

いて、前記ロックシーム部に、その長手方向の全長に渡
って連続した凹溝を押圧形成したものである。 【0006】 【発明の実施の形態】以下本発明の実施の形態を図面に
基づいて説明する。図1において、1はマフラ本体、2
は外筒である。この外筒2の両端に端板3,4が固着さ
れ、端板3側には排気ガス取り入れ口5を、また、端板

bは凹溝8の押圧形成によって密着力がより高められる
