Abstract

【課題】ユーザーがボールを打ち出した後であっても、ゴルフボールをより明るく輝かせて、ゴルフボールの飛距離および落下位置の監視を容易にさせること。
【解決手段】中実ボール体（２０）を有するゴルフボールにおいて、前記中実ボール体（２０）の表面には光反射層（３０）が被覆してあり、前記光反射層（３０）の外周面には透明層（４０）が被覆されている。また、前記光反射層（３０）はフィルム状に形成されており、前記透明層（４０）内には蛍光パウダー（４１）が混合されている。

Description

本考案は、ゴルフボールに関するものである。
近年、ゴルフは国民的スポーツとして普及し、且つゴルフ練習場やゴルフ場の数も増えており、ゴルフが国民的スポーツになったことに伴って、各種のゴルフクラブ及びゴルフボールのようなゴルフ用品が脚光を浴びるようになった。ところで、競争が厳しくなった市場において、製品に如何に特色を与えるかということが市場占有率を向上するキーポイントになるところ、ゴルフボールを例にして説明すれば、純粋の白色の周面を有する従来のゴルフボールでは既にユーザーの要求の変化に対応できるものではなくなったことにより、メーカは更に各種の模様を有するゴルフボールも開発し、これにより、ユーザーの新鮮な感覚を満足させると共に、特殊な模様を有するゴルフボールはユーザーの品位および個人の特色を表し、個人の収蔵品となる価値も付加されている。
従来のゴルフボールは、巻付方式で形成されたボール芯、または中実なボール芯が採用され、表面層が射出成形によって形成されて作製されている。ボール芯の構造と、表面層の材質とがどのように採択される場合であっても、ボールの周面に仕上げ素材を塗布することは一般に行われているものである。
この最後のプロセスは丁寧で複雑なものとなっている。図１は、従来のゴルフボールの断面図である。図１に示すように、従来の純粋の白色の周面を有するゴルフボールＡは、ボール体Ａ１の周面には白色層Ａ２が設けられていた。このような構成でなる従来のゴルフボールＡでは、その外層である白色層Ａ２の光度が不十分なために視認性に劣るものであったことから、ユーザーがゴルフボールＡを用いてゴルフ競技を行う場合、ユーザーがゴルフボールＡを打ち出した後、ゴルフボールＡを捉え難く、ユーザーはゴルフボールＡの飛距離および落下位置を容易に監視することができなかった。
本考案の主な目的は、ゴルフボールの飛距離および落下位置を容易に監視でき、そして特殊の立体効果を有するゴルフボールを提供することにある。
上記目的を達成するため、本考案は、中実ボール体を有するゴルフボールであって、前記中実ボール体の表面には光反射層が被覆してあり、前記光反射層の外周面には透明層が被覆してあることを特徴とするゴルフボールであることを要旨としている。
本考案は、前記光反射層はフィルム状に形成されることを特徴とする請求項１に記載のゴルフボールであることを要旨としている。
本考案は、前記透明層内には蛍光パウダーが混合してあることを特徴とする請求項１に記載のゴルフボールであることを要旨としている。
本考案に係るゴルフボールによれば、次のような効果がある。
（イ）中実ボール体の周面には光反射層が被覆してあり、且つ前記光反射層の外周面には透明層が被覆してあるので、前記光反射層および透明層により、ユーザーがボールを打ち出した後に、ゴルフボールが太陽光や照明光等の光線を反射することによって、より明るく輝くため視認性を向上させることができ、ユーザーはゴルフボールを捉え易く、ゴルフボールの飛距離および落下位置の監視が容易になる。
（ロ）前記光反射層および透明層により、ゴルフボールが打ち出された後に、光反射効果が良いので、ゴルフボールがもっと明るく輝く。
以下、図２乃至図４を参照して本考案の好適な実施の形態を詳細に説明する。図２は、本考案のゴルフボールの断面図、図３は、本考案のゴルフボールの透明層の他の実施例を示す断面図、図４は、図３におけるゴルフボールの部分拡大図である。
図２に示すように、本考案のゴルフボール１０は、主に、中実ボール体２０と、光反射層３０と、透明層４０とを有する。
図２に示すように、前記ゴルフボール１０の中実ボール体２０の表面には光反射層３０が被覆してあり、前記光反射層３０の外周面には透明層４０が被覆してある。
また、図３及び図４に示すように、前記透明層４０内には蛍光パウダー４１を混合させてもよく、ゴルフボール１０の飛び過程中に、中実ボール体２０の表面に被覆された光反射層３０と、蛍光パウダー４１が混合された最も外層の透明層４０とにより、光反射の効果が更に良くなるので、ゴルフボール１０はもっと明るく輝く。
本実施の形態によるゴルフボール１０の前記光反射層３０は、フィルム状に形成されている。
以上のような実施の形態によれば、太陽光や照明光などの光線が、ゴルフボール１０の最も外層である透明層４０から入射して、中実ボール体２０の周面に設けられた光反射層３０によって反射され、この反射された光線が再び透明層４０を通過して外部に放射されるので、ユーザーがゴルフボール１０を打ち出した後であっても、ゴルフボール１０は明るく輝くことによって視認し易くなり、ゴルフボール１０の飛距離および落下位置の監視が極めて容易になる。
また、中実ボール体２０の周面に設けられた光反射層３０と、ゴルフボール１０の最も外層である透明層４０とにより、ゴルフボール１０全体の外観がもっと明るく輝いて見えるので、商品としての視的美感が向上される。

  1. 中実ボール体（２０）を有するゴルフボールであって、
    前記中実ボール体（２０）の表面には光反射層（３０）が被覆してあり、前記光反射層（３０）の外周面には透明層（４０）が被覆してあること
    を特徴とするゴルフボール。
  2. 前記光反射層（３０）はフィルム状に形成されることを特徴とする請求項１に記載のゴルフボール。
  3. 前記透明層（４０）内には蛍光パウダー（４１）が混合してあることを特徴とする請求項１に記載のゴルフボール。
