As an experiment on the water permeability, a water reservoir was formed by surrounding the upper surface 11 of the brick according to the present embodiment with a gum tape. For comparison, a solid brick was made of the same material, and a water reservoir was formed by surrounding the upper surface of the brick with gum tape in the same manner. Then give each a glass of water (180c
c) was poured. In addition, it was made possible to observe the drop of water drops in a state where all the bricks were floating. As a result, in the brick according to the present example, water droplets began to fall from the permeated portion on the lower surface in about 5 seconds after water injection was started, but no water droplets fell in the control brick even for several hours.

Referring to FIG. The clay used as the material of the brick 10 is extruded by an extruder (not shown). At the mouth of the extruder, there is a rod (4 mm in diameter) arranged in the shape of a hollow to form a hollow. Then, when the clay is extruded by an extruder, a molded body 40 having a required number of hollow portions formed in the extrusion direction is obtained. Thereafter, the molded body 40 is cut by a cutting machine 41 in which a piano wire 42 is stretched. Along with the cutting of the molded body 40 by the piano wire 42, a part of the clay is dragged by the piano wire 42 and the opening of the cut surface connected to the hollow portion is closed. As a result of the experiment, it was found that when the diameter of the hollow portion exceeded 6 mm, the opening of the hollow portion was not closed during cutting.

As described above, according to the present invention, since there is no opening on the surface, clogging is essentially eliminated, and the water permeability which can ensure the water permeation performance due to the presence of the permeated portion and the hollow portion. The present invention can provide a permeable ceramic member and a permeable pavement structure using the same . In addition, by using the water-permeable ceramic member for part or all of the flowerbed, it has a drainage function, but can prevent leakage of contents. Furthermore, since it is not necessary to pay attention to the direction when laying like a conventional brick, labor for construction can be omitted. Furthermore, since there is no opening on the lower surface during construction, sand can be prevented from entering the hollow part when adjusting the height during construction or during rolling after construction, and as a result As a result, clogging of the hollow portion can be prevented.
