That is, when water is supplied by bringing the surface of the dampening roller 6 into direct contact with the cleaning cloth 1, a frictional force and an adhesive force due to water are generated between the dampening roller 6 and the cleaning cloth 1. It is pulled in the rotation direction of the dampening roller 6 and locally expands. This elongation is shown in FIG.
As shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 4, the cleaning cloth 1 is not uniform in the width direction but becomes particularly large near the center. For this reason, a flat and uniform contact surface cannot be formed on the cleaning cloth 1 over the entire width direction of the printing paper 5.

法を提供することを目的とする。Even if the cleaning cloth 1 fed by the feed roller 3 is constantly wound by the take-up roll 9, the amount of elongation near the center of the cleaning cloth and the amount of elongation near the end thereof with the passage of time. Therefore, the cleaning cloth is finally wound around the wetting roller 6, and the cleaning function is disabled within a short time. Further, due to a shortage of the feeding amount of the cleaning cloth 1 with respect to the amount of foreign matter such as paper dust and contaminant particles on the surface of the printing paper 5 and other factors, the cleaning cloth cannot sufficiently take in these foreign matters, May come off to the back of the cleaning cloth. In such a case, foreign matter adhered to the surface of the watering roller 6 and contaminated the water 7 in the watercraft 8. In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1a denotes a portion of the cleaning cloth 1 which is in full contact with the wetting roller 6. The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and it is possible to always reliably supply water to a cleaning cloth, and to prevent water in a watercraft from being contaminated by foreign matter that has come out of the cleaning cloth. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for supplying and humidifying a cleaning cloth.

In the method of supplying water to the cleaning cloth so as to be humidified, a woven cloth is interposed between the watering roller and the cleaning cloth, and water on the surface of the watering roller is transferred to the cleaning cloth via the woven cloth. Since the water supply and humidification are performed, the cleaning cloth does not directly contact the watering roller, and the cleaning cloth is not pulled by the watering roller, thereby preventing the cleaning function from being disabled. Thereby, the cleaning cloth can always be reliably supplied with water and humidified, and the cleaning cloth can always have a flat and uniform cleaning surface, and this state can be maintained. It can always be wiped well. Further, even if the foreign matter on the printing paper comes out of the cleaning cloth, the foreign matter that has come out is received by the woven cloth, so that the water in the watercraft is not contaminated.
