【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 この発明は、アルミニウム箔等を圧延するのに用いる
ロールを研磨した後、その表面の微細な凹凸、特にチャ
タリングを検出する方法及び装置に関する。

がある。勿論、このような凹凸は、圧延に有害であり、
ロールを再使用することができない。

上記の課題を解決するため、この発明においては、一
端を丸棒に載置して揺動自在に支持した比較的長尺の棹
を、研磨後の圧延ロール表面に当接し、圧延ロールを一
定速度で回転させながら、前記棹の圧延ロールとの当接
部における振動を、前記棹の当接部に取り付けた振動感
知センサで検出し、これを圧延ロールの両端部と中央部
において振動計により測定し、これらの測定値の比較に
よってチャタリングを検出するようにしたのである。

端に山形部材3が固定されており、この内面に薄いゴ

られている。この山形部材3は、丸棒5の上に載せられ
ており、棹2は、丸棒5を支点として揺動自在になって
いる。なお、前記棹2とロール1との当接部にも、薄い
ゴム、合成樹脂等から成るクッションシート6を固着し
ておくのがよい。
