Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a thermistor, and more particularly, to a thermistor mainly used for temperature measurement or temperature compensation. Conventional technology Thermistors include axial type glass-filled thermistors,
There are a radial type glass-filled thermistor and a resin mold thermistor. To manufacture these thermistors, first, a sheet mainly composed of a metal oxide such as Mn, Ni, Co, or Al that forms the thermistor element is prepared, and an electrode paste such as platinum is applied to the sheet and dried. After that, it is baked, cut into chips after the calcination, and then sealed with glass. The electrode paste contains a solvent and a glass frit in addition to a metal powder such as platinum. Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in order to make the bonding strength between the electrode and the thermistor element sufficient, the above glass frit alone is not sufficient. There has been a problem that the thermistor element comes off from the thermistor element side. If not, the initial value of the thermistor resistance value (usually the resistance value at room temperature) will vary due to insufficient bonding. Variations in the resistance value due to processing at the time of glass encapsulation later have also been a problem. Means for Solving the Problems The present invention was made in view of the above problems, and electrodes were formed on both side surfaces of a thermistor element made of a metal oxide such as Mn, Ni, Co, and Al. In the thermistor, the electrode is formed containing at least one or more common metal oxides among metal oxides such as Mn, Ni, Co, and Al constituting the thermistor element. It is. Function Common Mn, Ni, Co, forming thermistor element and electrode
Due to the reaction of the metal oxide such as Al, the adhesive strength between the thermistor element and the electrode is significantly increased. Embodiment An embodiment of a thermistor according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows an example of an axial thermistor, and electrodes 2 made of platinum or the like are formed on both sides of the thermistor element 1. Headers 3 are provided outside each of the electrodes 2, and lead wires 4 are connected to these headers 3, respectively. And outside these thermistor element 1, electrode 2, header 3, and lead wire 4,
A glass bulb 5 for covering these is formed. The thermistor element 1 is formed of a metal oxide such as Mn, Ni, Co, Al, etc. The metal oxide is mixed and mixed so as to have a predetermined composition, and then calcined at 800 ° C. to 850 ° C. An organic binder, a solvent, a plasticizer and a dispersant are added thereto to form a paste, and a sheet is formed by a doctor blade method or the like. After punching this sheet into an appropriate size, it is pressed to a thickness of about 0.5 mm. On the other hand, in addition to the Pt-Au-Pd-based powder, the paste for forming the electrode 2 was prepared by calcining M for the thermistor element 1 described above.
powder of at least one common metal oxide of metal oxides such as n, Ni, Co, Al, etc.
Add ~ 10%. After applying the paste for the electrode 2 to the sheet for the thermistor element 1, the paste is fired at 1200 ° C. to 1300 ° C. for about 2 hours.
After firing, it is cut into a 0.5 mm square chip shape, the header 3 and the lead wire 4 are provided, and glass sealing is performed under a temperature of 580 ° C to 650 ° C. In the thermistor configured as described above, the electrode 2 did not peel off when it was cut into a chip shape, and the initial value of the resistance did not vary. Next, another embodiment will be described. Mn and Ni metal oxides were used as the material for forming the thermistor element 1, while Mn oxide was added to the paste for forming the electrode 2, Mn and Ni were added to the paste for forming the electrode 2.
A thermistor was prepared in the same manner as described above for the case where the oxide of Ni was added and the case where no metal oxide was added. As a result, in any of the cases (1) to (3) included in the examples of the present invention, the peeling of the electrode 2 from the thermistor element 1 did not occur when cutting into the chip shape. On the other hand, in the case corresponding to the conventional example, peeling of the electrode 2 occurred in almost all chips. In addition, similar results were obtained when the metal oxides of Co and Al were included in the electrode forming paste. In the above-described embodiment, the case of the axial thermistor has been described. However, the same result can be obtained with a radial thermistor and a laminated thermistor. Effects of the Invention As is apparent from the above description, according to the thermistor according to the present invention, as a material for forming the thermistor element and the electrode, at least one or more common metal oxides such as Mn, Ni, Co, and Al are used. As a result of containing the metal oxide, the adhesive strength between the thermistor element and the electrode can be significantly increased based on the chemical reaction between these common metal oxides. Therefore, the inconvenience of the electrode being detached from the thermistor element side even when the chip is cut into a chip shape in the thermistor manufacturing process can be completely eliminated. Further, even if the electrode is not peeled off, it is possible to eliminate the inconvenience that the initial resistance value varies due to the adhesion failure. Further, the inconvenience that the resistance value varies due to the processing at the time of glass sealing can be eliminated.
