2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, many attempts have been made to artificially breed fireflies, and therefore, the growth conditions of fireflies have been studied. As the fireflies' habitat environment for this purpose, the terrestrial environment, the soil environment on the shore of the land contact area, and the necessary conditions for the water environment are known. In other words, the fireflies habitat on land must have a nighttime brightness of 0.03 lux or less in the light environment, no external light, especially no flashing blue-green light, and no direct sunlight. The space for the fireflies to fly, the space for fireflies to fly between the trees, and the presence of herbs that can mate and mount, are also available. There are overhanging soil and rocks and moss growing to secure the moss, there is a middle shore and dike to secure the larva landing behavior, It is required that a stable amount of water can be secured. In addition, pH 6.
It must be within the range of 5 to 7.8, the dissolved oxygen amount is 90 to 100% of the saturated state, the amount of CaCO 3 is relatively large, and further, it is necessary to satisfy the conditions of no inflow of fine mud. Are known.

A conventional artificial waterway for growing fireflies basically regenerates the environment to a natural state as much as possible, allows purified water to flow therethrough, and feeds on fireflies for feeding. It grows and breeds with firefly larvae in it, but very few have succeeded. In particular, it has been considered difficult to breed fireflies in rivers or waterways in urban areas. An object of the present invention is to provide fireflies in places where there are no conventional fireflies, such as rivers or waterways in urban areas, parks, etc. To create an artificial waterway suitable for the inhabitation of the sea.

[Means for Solving the Problems] The growth of Kawana, which feeds on fireflies, depends on the breeding of diatoms that feed on Kawana, and the shape of artificial waterway suitable for breeding of diatoms and the constituent materials of artificial waterway As a result of trial and error, the firefly cultivation waterway according to the present invention was completed based on the finding that concrete, which was conventionally considered to be unfavorable for habitat of Kawanina, is a waterway constituent material suitable for diatom propagation.

That is, a waterway for growing fireflies according to the present invention is provided with a unit waterway having a flooded portion and a flowing water portion at least at the bottom surface of which are provided with vegetation stones on both side edges. Has a flat bottom and places stones on it.In the flowing water part, a flowing water channel is provided in the center of the flowing direction, and a flowing water flat part is provided on the left and right sides. The section is characterized by providing an overflow weir.

[Function] By forming the bottom of the flooded part and the flowing channel part with concrete, diatoms serving as bait for Kawaina grow well. Kawanina breeds on the diatoms that flourish. And, when the clean water flows through the waterway,
The formation of appropriate puddles creates an environment suitable for the growth of fireflies that eat Kawana.

In FIG. 1, 1 indicates a flooded portion, 2 and 3 indicate a flowing channel portion, 4 indicates an overflow portion, and 5 indicates a vegetation set over the entire length of the edge. The entire bottom of the canal is made of concrete for the growth of diatoms. The total length of about 10 m is defined as one unit.
Water having a depth of about 5 cm was allowed to be constantly flooded, and a large number of stones 6 were arranged therein to form a hiding place for firefly larvae. As the setting stone 6, fragments of flowerpots and natural river stones can be used, but natural stones, which tend to produce moss, and limestone are also suitable. Flooded part of waterway 1
The flowing water part 2 of about 5 m length on the upstream side of
As shown in FIG. 4, a flowing water channel 7 of 0 cm was provided, and a surface 8 higher than the central flowing water channel 7 was formed on the left and right flowing water surface portions 3 so as to have a structure 5 cm higher at the most upstream end. The water surface portion 8 is provided with a "broom" 9 obliquely so as to have a change in the flow over the entire section. As a result, it is possible to obtain a structure in which the water depth is varied in consideration of the fact that the clear stream always flows through the water channel, and that the Kawanina lives in a place of a water depth corresponding to its own length. As the curb 5, natural stones with a high moss growth were used to provide a place for laying fireflies. The left and right portions 12 of the curb 5 are preferably structured to contain sand and masago for promoting vegetation and for the pupae. A waterway is formed by continuously installing waterways having a unit length of about 10 m (herein, referred to as a unit waterway). As shown in FIG. 5, a weir 10 having a vegetation stone 13 disposed in the center and an overflow portion 11 provided on both sides is formed at a connection portion of the unit waterway.
It is formed so as to flow into. The overflow section between the unit canals serves to prevent the Kawana from moving to the upstream canals and to prevent the Kawana and Firefly larvae from being washed away when the water increases. Thus, by giving a change to the shape of the water channel, it was possible to obtain a result that diatoms grew well and Kawanina grew well, and an environment suitable for the growth of fireflies could be formed.
