In this mold-insertion type electrical contact, there are electric resistance welding method, brazing method, crimping method, caulking method, etc. as a method of fixing and integrating the contact material and the base material, but the base material is embedded in the mold resin. When used integrally, the base material has an annular concave portion on the middle outer periphery and has a complicated shape with a narrow upper portion in order to secure the fixing strength with the mold resin and to prevent the resin from coming off.
For this reason, the method of fixing and integrating the contact material by the above-mentioned method has many problems in production, respectively. Until now, a mold insertion type electric contact has been produced by a method of press-fitting the lower surface convex portion of the contact material into the upper surface concave portion of the base material. Had been.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, in the method of press-fitting the lower surface convex portion of the contact material to the upper surface concave portion of the base material, the clearance between the convex portion of the contact material to be press-fitted and the concave portion of the base material is managed. It is difficult, and there is a problem that the joint strength after press-fitting is weak and unstable, and especially, a gap is generated in the joint, heat is generated in the gap when using contacts, and heat conduction is poor. For this reason, it has developed into welding with the opposed contact, and has become a very serious defect in the performance of the electric contact.

(Object of the Invention) The present invention has been made to solve the above problems.
Provided is a method for manufacturing a mold insertion type electrical contact, in which clearance can be easily controlled, a stable bonding strength is high, and a gap does not occur in a bonding portion when a lower surface convex portion of a contact material is inserted into a concave portion of an upper surface of a base material. It is intended for.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to solve the above problems, a method of manufacturing a mold insertion type electric contact according to the present invention has a concave portion having an annular concave portion on an intermediate outer periphery, a narrow upper portion, and a concave portion perpendicular to the center of the upper surface. In the concave portion of the base material provided with, a leg portion of a bet-type clad contact having a head with an outer diameter smaller than the upper surface diameter is inserted, and then the peripheral edge of the upper surface of the base material is pressure-formed into a tapered shape. The present invention is characterized in that the base of the leg is narrowed.

(Operation) As described above, according to the method for manufacturing a mold-inserted electrical contact of the present invention, the leg of the rivet-type clad contact is inserted into the recess at the center of the upper surface of the base material, and the peripheral edge of the upper surface of the base material is tapered. Since the base of the leg is narrowed by pressure molding, the leg of the rivet-type clad contact and the recess of the base material are formed into a truncated cone shape and are prevented from coming off, so that the bonding strength is high and stable. Insertion of the legs of the rivet-type clad contact and pressure molding of the upper surface periphery of the base material are continuously performed. Furthermore, since the upper surface periphery of the base material is finished by pressure molding, variations in clearance when the legs are inserted into the concave portions are absorbed and reduced.

In addition, the taper angle of the peripheral edge of the upper surface of the base material to be pressed is 20
It is preferable that the contact angle be up to 60 degrees. Otherwise, the contact point is raised, it is difficult to process, or it is impossible to perform sufficient pressure molding. The taper-shaped pressure molding is performed with a concave mold, and whether or not to have a gap with the contact head is appropriately selected according to the material, shape, and dimensions.

As shown in Fig. 1, 0.8mm on the outer circumference of the middle part 1 with a diameter of 6.5mm
A base member 5 made of brass having a semicircular annular concave portion 2 of R, a thin upper portion having a diameter of 3.5 mm, and a vertical concave portion 4 having an inner diameter of 1.5 mm and a depth of 1.5 mm provided in the center of an upper surface 3 thereof. The recess 4
As shown in FIG. 2, a leg 6 having an outer diameter of 1.48 mm slightly smaller than the inner diameter of 1.5 mm of the recess 4 and a length of 1.7 mm and an upper surface 3 of the base member 5 are provided.
FIG. 3 shows a leg 6 of a rivet-type clad contact 8 made of Ag-CdO 12 wt% (thickness 0.3 mm) / Cu having a head 7 having an outer diameter of 2.7 mm and a thickness of 0.6 mm which is slightly smaller than the diameter of Cu. 4, and then the peripheral edge of the upper surface 3 of the base member 5 is formed into a concave shape having a 30 degree taper 10 with an inner diameter of 3.0 mm, a depth of 0.43 mm and an inner peripheral edge of a lower surface of 0.25 mm as shown in FIG. However, quality inspection was performed on each of the ten mold-inserted electrical contacts of the above embodiment and the conventional example, and the bonding strength between the rivet-type clad contact and the base material was measured. As a result, the results shown in the following table were obtained.

As is clear from the above table, the conventional mold-insertion type electrical contact has a defect in quality inspection, that is, inability to insert due to improper clearance between the inner diameter of the concave portion and the outer diameter of the leg of the rivet-type clad contact, or at the time of press-fitting due to it. While there were two out of ten deformations and gaps in the bonding surfaces, the mold-insertion type electrical contact of the example had no such defects. In addition, the conventional mold insertion type electrical contact
The bonding strength between the rivet-type clad contact and the base material was low, the dispersion was large and unstable, whereas the mold-insertion type electrical contact of the example had a high bonding strength between the rivet-type clad contact and the base material. The dispersion was small and stable.

(Effects of the Invention) As can be seen from the above description, in the method of manufacturing a mold insertion type electric contact of the present invention, a leg portion of a rivet type clad contact is inserted into a recess at the center of the upper surface of the base material, and then the upper surface of the rear base material is Since the periphery of the leg is narrowed by pressurizing the periphery to narrow the root of the leg, the leg of the rivet type clad contact and the recess of the base material are formed into a truncated cone shape and are prevented from falling off, so the joining strength is high. A stable mold-insertion type electrical contact can be manufactured. In addition, since the insertion of the legs of the rivet-type clad contact and the press-forming of the upper peripheral edge of the base material are continuously performed, the mold-insertion-type electric contact with excellent workability and efficiency can be obtained. Furthermore, it is finished by pressure molding of the upper edge of the base material, and the variation in clearance when press-fitting into the concave part of the leg is absorbed and reduced,
There are effects such as easy management of the clearance between the recess at the center of the upper surface of the base material and the leg of the rivet-type clad contact.
