For example, as shown in JP-A-59-42147,
A cylindrical semi-finished product with a bottom is formed by deep drawing, and this semi-finished product is press-fitted into the molding die and the spline teeth are ironed on the rim to form a timing pulley with a predetermined shape in one molding process. There is one that is formed. However, as described above, in the case where the spline teeth are formed on the rim portion of the cylindrical semi-finished product by one-time ironing, the load is concentrated on the base end portion of the rim portion. There is a problem that molding defects such as ",""burrs" and the like are likely to occur and that the base end portion may be seized on the die due to frictional heat during molding of ironing.

Further, in order to prevent the seizure and the like, ironing of the spline teeth is also divided into a roughing process and a finishing process. In this case, either the roughing process or the finishing process is performed. However, there is a problem that the base end of the rim portion may be seized on the die, and the structure of the molding apparatus becomes complicated because two or more types of dies for ironing molding are required.

(Structure of the Invention) The present invention is a spline molding method in which a disc-shaped material is drawn into a cylindrical body composed of a substrate and a rim portion, and then a spline tooth is formed by ironing the rim portion. During or after draw forming, recesses corresponding to the tooth groove portions of the spline teeth are formed at regular intervals at the base end of the rim portion, and then the cylindrical body is press-fitted into the die from the base end side. Then, the spline teeth are ironed and formed on the rim portion.

(Example) FIG. 1 shows a deep drawing apparatus for drawing a disk-shaped material 1 made of a steel plate material into a cylindrical shape with a bottom. The deep drawing apparatus has a lower die 3 having a punch 2 on which the disc-shaped material 1 is placed, and an upper die 4 which is driven up and down by a drive mechanism (not shown). As shown in FIG. 2, lower the outer peripheral portion of the disc-shaped material 1 into the die 5 of the upper die 4.
By pressing down with, the cylindrical body 8 composed of the substrate 6 and the rim portion 7 is formed by drawing. The punch 2 is formed with recessed recesses 9 at predetermined intervals on the outer periphery of the tip end thereof, and a protrusion 10 corresponding to the recess 9 is formed on the inner periphery of the base end of the die 5, thereby forming the draw. In the final stage of step 3, the peripheral portion of the upper end of the cylindrical body 8 is pressed from the outside to be pressed against the concave portion 9 of the punch 2, thereby
As shown in the figure, recesses 11 having a shape corresponding to the tooth space of the spline teeth are formed at the base end of the rim portion 7 at regular intervals.

FIG. 4 shows an ironing and drawing apparatus for ironing spline teeth on the rim portion 7 of the cylindrical body 8 formed by the deep drawing apparatus. This ironing draw forming apparatus is a punch for sandwiching the substrate 6 of the cylindrical body 8 from above and below.
12 and a holder 13, and a die 14 into which the rim portion 7 of the cylindrical body 8 is press fitted. As shown in FIG. 5, the punch 12 is formed in such a size that the rim portion 7 of the cylindrical body 8 can be externally fitted, and the outer peripheral surface of the punch 12 has a groove 15 corresponding to the tooth groove portion of the spline tooth. Are formed at regular intervals.

In addition, the die 14 has a rim portion 7 of the cylindrical body 8 having an inner diameter.
And a lower end portion of the cylindrical body having a tapered shape for preliminarily processing the rim portion 7 corresponding to the tooth groove portion of the spline tooth on the inner peripheral surface thereof. As shown in FIG. 6, a continuous ridge 17 for forming a tooth groove portion is formed at a constant interval at a position corresponding to the concave groove 15 of the punch 12.

In order to carry out the spline forming method of the present invention using the apparatus configured as described above, first, the cylindrical material 1 is drawn by a deep drawing apparatus to form a cylindrical body composed of the substrate 6 and the rim portion 7. 8 is formed, and concave portions 11 having a shape corresponding to the tooth groove portion of the spline tooth are formed in the base end portion of the rim portion 7 at regular intervals. After that, the punch 12 is pushed down while the substrate 6 of the cylindrical body 8 is sandwiched by the punch 12 and the holder 13 of the ironing and drawing apparatus, and the cylindrical body 8 is pressed into the die 14 from the substrate 6 side. As a result, a portion of the rim portion 7 which is continuous with the concave portion 11 formed at the base end portion is pressed inward by the bulging portion 16 and the ridge 17 of the die 14 and pressed against the concave groove 15 of the punch 12. Meanwhile, the spline teeth having a predetermined shape are formed by ironing.

In this way, when the cylindrical body 8 is formed by drawing, the concave portion 11 corresponding to the tooth groove portion of the spline tooth is formed at the base end portion of the rim portion 7, and then the cylindrical body 8 is press-fitted into the die 14 to form the rim portion. Since the spline teeth are configured to be ironed in FIG. 7, it is possible to prevent the concentrated load from acting on the base end portion of the rim portion 7 and appropriately form the spline teeth of a predetermined shape by performing the ironing once. You can

That is, the base end of the rim portion 7 has extremely high radial rigidity due to the presence of the substrate 6. For this reason,
When the tooth groove portion of the spline tooth is to be formed over the entire length of the rim portion 7 by one-time ironing, a large deformation resistance is generated at the base end portion of the rim portion 7, and stress is concentrated on this portion. As a result, molding defects such as "drip" are likely to occur, and the above-mentioned base end part is dies due to frictional heat during ironing.
The inner surface of 14 may be burnt. On the other hand, as described above, when the recessed portion 11 corresponding to the tooth groove portion of the spline tooth is previously formed in the base end portion of the rim portion 7, it is possible to prevent a large forming resistance from occurring during the ironing forming. it can. Therefore, the spline teeth can be easily and accurately formed by one-time ironing without causing molding defects such as the above-mentioned "burrs" or seizure.

The recess 11 does not necessarily have to be formed at the same time as the drawing of the cylindrical body 8 is performed. After the cylindrical body 8 is formed from the cylindrical material 1, the recess 11 is separately formed at the base end of the rim portion 7. You may comprise so that it may be formed in a process.

(Effect of the Invention) As described above, the present invention corresponds to the tooth groove portion of the spline tooth at the base end portion of the rim portion of the cylindrical body at the time of draw forming from the disc-shaped material into the cylindrical body or after the draw forming. Since the recesses to be formed are formed at predetermined intervals and then the spline teeth are ironed and formed on the rim portion, it is possible to prevent the load from being concentrated and acting on the base end portion of the rim portion during the ironing and forming. You can Therefore, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of molding defects such as "sag" and "burr" in the base end portion, and it is possible to effectively prevent the base end portion from being seized on the die, and moreover, once. It is possible to easily and accurately form the spline teeth having a predetermined shape by ironing.
