【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、液晶ディスプレイ(LCD)駆動基板とLCDパ
ネル端子との接続方法に関する。

従来この種のUCD駆動基板とLCDパネルの端子との接続
は、第3図(a),(b)に示すように、合成樹脂製の
LCD駆動基板2上にLCDパネル端子7に対応するように導
体パターン6を設け、導電パターン6とLCDパネル端子
7との間に異方性導電フィルム4を介在させて重ね合せ
LCD駆動基板2の上方から加熱押圧して、導電パターン
6とLCDパネル端子7とを接続し電気的導電をとってい
た。また異方性導電フィルム4に空気中の湿気の吸収を
防止するため防湿樹脂3を異方性導電フィルム4部に塗
布していた。

より内側に設置され接続されるため、防湿樹脂3が、導
電パターン6とLCDパネル端子7との間に入り込む構造
となっている。そのため周囲温度の変化により、防湿樹
脂3の熱膨張により、導電パターン6とLCDパネル端子
7を引きはなす応力が加わり、接触不良が発生するとい
う欠点があった。

する構造により、防湿樹脂3がLCDパネル端子7と導電

接続され、接触不良を防止できる効果がある。

出し、前記異方性導電フィルムのつき出した部分が樹脂
で覆われていることを特徴とする液晶ディスプレイ基
