Abstract
Description
かかる用途の蓄電デバイスとして、矩形状の六面からなる六面体形状のいわゆる角型形状の金属製ケース内に正負極を有する電極体を収容した形態のものが挙げられる。かかる形態の蓄電デバイスの典型例として、一面が開口した角型形状のケース本体と、該開口部分を塞ぐ矩形板状の封口板(蓋体)とを備え、ケースに収容する電極体の正負極それぞれと電気的に接続された正負極それぞれの集電端子を、上記封口板に設けられた正負極それぞれの端子装着孔を通して該端子の一部を該封口板の外面に配置した形態のものが挙げられる。
例えば、特許文献1には、かかる一体成型された集電端子-封口板組立体を用いて製造された密閉型の蓄電デバイスの一例(リチウムイオン二次電池)が記載されている。
以下では、上述した蓄電デバイスのうち、リチウムイオン二次電池を例に挙げて、ここに開示される技術の一実施形態について説明する。
そこで、ここに開示される蓄電デバイスは、封口板14と集電端子と絶縁部材40とが一体成型されており、封口板14および集電端子は、0.2%耐力と破断伸びとが所定の関係を満たす材料から構成されている。これにより、集電端子-封口板組立体14Aの強度を一定以上確保しつつ、封口板14と集電端子と絶縁部材40とが一体成型されている部分の見かけの剛性が急激に上昇することを抑制することができる。このため、剛性が低い部分に応力が集中することを緩和し、蓄電デバイスの破断強度を好適に向上させることができる。
以下、ここで開示される蓄電デバイスの製造方法の好適な一実施形態として、リチウムイオン二次電池を例にして説明するが、適用対象をかかる電池に限定することを意図したものではない。
上述した蓄電デバイスは各種用途に利用可能であるが、例えば、乗用車、トラック等の車両に搭載されるモータ用の動力源(駆動用電源)として好適に用いることができる。車両の種類は特に限定されないが、例えば、プラグインハイブリッド自動車(PHEV;Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle)、ハイブリッド自動車(HEV;Hybrid Electric Vehicle)、電気自動車(BEV;Battery Electric Vehicle)等が挙げられる。かかる蓄電デバイスは、当該蓄電デバイスを所定の配列方向に複数個並べて、配列方向に沿って拘束機構で荷重を加えてなる形態(例えば、リチウムイオン二次電池を所定の方向に複数個並べた組電池)としても好適に用いることができる。

Claims (2)
- 開口部を有するケース本体と、
端子装着孔を有し、前記開口部を封口する金属製の封口板と、
前記ケース本体の内部に収容された電極体と、
一端が前記ケース本体の内部で前記電極体と電気的に接続され、他端が前記端子装着孔を通過して前記封口板の外面側に露出する集電端子と、
前記封口板と前記集電端子との間に配置される絶縁部材と、
を備える蓄電デバイスであって、
前記絶縁部材は、前記封口板の端子装着孔の周縁部分および前集電端子と一体成型された状態で前記端子装着孔の周縁に配置されており、
前記封口板は、0.2%耐力Aが95~350N/mm2であり、破断伸びXが4~27%である金属材料から構成され、
前記集電端子は、0.2%耐力Bが25~200N/mm2であり、破断伸びYが20~45%である金属材料から構成され、
ここで、前記耐力Aに対する前記耐力Bの比(B/A)が、0.08~0.8であり、
前記破断伸びXに対する前記破断伸びYの比(Y/X)が1.1~10.8である、蓄電デバイス。 - 前記集電端子の前記絶縁部材と接する表面の少なくとも一部には、その周囲の表面よりも凹凸のある粗化エリアを有している、請求項1に記載の蓄電デバイス。
