Abstract

Description

This invention relates to technology that manages gifts in return for hometown tax donations.

In recent years, hometown tax donations, which were established with the intention of raising interest in and participation in local government and bringing vitality to various regions across the country, have become popular. Hometown tax donations are a system in which a part of the income of the local government in the donor's place of residence is essentially transferred to the local government in the donor's place of residence by deducting a part of the donation amount from the donor's income tax and resident tax (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

Municipalities participating in the hometown tax payment system prepare a variety of gifts in return for donations. Examples of gifts include locally produced foods, vouchers for various facilities, and a variety of other items. In most cases, the gifts are provided by businesses commissioned by the municipality on behalf of the municipality to donors. Therefore, for example, if a business provided a gift in return at the same time as the donation, it would increase donors' motivation to donate and to explore the region, which is thought to further contribute to regional revitalization, which is the purpose of the hometown tax payment system.

However, gifts in return for hometown tax donations are provided to donors by the local government that receives the donation. Therefore, gifts are usually provided after the local government has confirmed that the donation has been made. Therefore, under the current hometown tax donation system, it is difficult to immediately provide gifts in return to donors who decide to donate after visiting the area, and since government offices are closed on holidays when many people are expected to visit local areas, the reality is that gifts have to consist mainly of items that are delivered via delivery services.
