Abstract
Description
供給口から投入される樹脂材料としてペレット状のものを使用する2軸型連続混練押出装置の場合には、2軸混練送り部の供給端部側に形成されたミキシング部におけるミキシングロータの最大外径部とケーシングの通路部内壁とのギャップが、樹脂ペレットの最大寸法より僅かに小さく設計され、材料供給口から供給された樹脂を2軸混練送り部の供給端部側のミキシング部で半ゲル状態にすると同時にこの半ゲル状態の樹脂から前記第1のオープンベントを介して脱気した後、終端側の前記ミキシング部で完全に溶融混練することが好ましい。
供給口から投入される樹脂材料としてパウダー状のものを使用する2軸型連続混練押出装置の場合には、2軸混練送り部におけるミキシングロータの最大外径部とケーシングの通路部内壁とのギャップが、パウダーの粒径に合わせて半ゲル状態にする程度に設計され、材料供給口から供給されたパウダー状樹脂を2軸混練送り部のミキシング部で半ゲル状にすると同時にこの半ゲル状の樹脂から第1のオープンベントを介して脱気した後、終端側のミキシング部で完全に溶融混練することが好ましい。
複数のミキシング部におけるミキシングロータとケーシングの通路部内壁とのギャップは、樹脂が溶融する過程で粘度が低下する場合には、2軸混練送り部の終端側に移るに従って小さく設計され、又は樹脂が溶融する過程で粘度が増加する場合には終端側に移るに従って大きく設計されていることが好ましい。
前記要点は、第1混練送り軸及び第2混練送り軸と別個のスクリュー軸を分け、第1混練送り軸及び第2混練送り軸を高速回転し、樹脂混練を良好とし、これに対して別個のスクリュー軸を低速回転とし樹脂混練を低下させるようにする。
その結果、第1ミキシング部23で蒸発した水分が半ゲル状態にされた溶融樹脂26に再び練り込まれて供給されることを防ぐことができる。
ケーシング端部には、流量調整機構36が設けられ、流量調整機構36の内部に1つの垂直な貫通路38が設けられ、この1つの貫通路は上流端で軸受部35おいて前記水平な2つの通路に連通するように形成されている(図2参照)。スクリュー軸回転数が低速の場合はこの限りでない。即ち、図4のように軸受部35で各水平な通路部11、12はスクリュー間で連通している。

Claims (4)
- 断面で見てまゆ型状の連接する2つの通路部を備えるケーシング内の前記各通路部に第1混練送り軸及び第2混練送り軸がそれぞれ回転可能に配置されてなる2軸混練送り部と、2軸混練送り部からの溶融樹脂を受け取り溶融し、第1、第2の混練送り軸から間隔をおいて第1、第2の混練送り軸よりも少なくとも低速に制御回転可能に別個のスクリュー軸が配置されてなる単軸スクリュー部と、2軸混練送り部へ材料を供給すべくケーシングの供給端部に設けられた材料供給口と、前記単軸スクリュー部の終端側の端部から混練材料を取り出すために設けられた吐出口と、前記第1混練送り軸と前記第2混練送り軸との一部をミキシングロータで構成することで前記2軸混練送り部に設けられた複数のミキシング部と、前記複数のミキシング部か又は前記ミキシング部間の前記混練送り軸の少なくとも1つに連通すべくケーシングに設けられた脱気用の第1のオープンベントと、前記単軸スクリュー部の適所においてケーシング内部に連通すべく設けられた真空脱気用の第2のオープンベントを含み、材料供給口から樹脂を供給し、前記2軸混練送り部で樹脂を溶融、混練、脱気をしながら低速回転する前記単軸スクリュー部へ送り、この単軸スクリュー部で溶融樹脂の真空脱気及び押し出しをするように構成したことを特徴とする2軸型連続混練押出装置。
- 前記供給口から投入される樹脂材料としてペレット状のものを使用する前記2軸型連続混練押出装置の場合には、前記2軸混練送り部の前記供給端部側に形成された前記ミキシング部における前記ミキシングロータの最大外径部と前記ケーシングの前記通路部内壁とのギャップが、前記樹脂ペレットの最大寸法より僅かに小さく設計され、前記材料供給口から供給された樹脂を前記2軸混練送り部の前記供給端部側の前記ミキシング部で半ゲル状態にすると同時にこの半ゲル状態の樹脂から前記第1のオープンベントを介して脱気した後、終端側の前記ミキシング部で完全に溶融混練することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の2軸型連続混練押出装置。
- 前記供給口から投入される樹脂材料としてパウダー状のものを使用する前記2軸型連続混練押出装置の場合には、前記2軸混練送り部における前記ミキシングロータの最大外径部と前記ケーシングの前記通路部内壁とのギャップが、前記パウダーの粒径に合わせて半ゲル状態にする程度に設計され、前記材料供給口から供給されたパウダー状樹脂を前記2軸混練送り部の前記ミキシング部で半ゲル状にすると同時にこの半ゲル状の樹脂から前記第1のオープンベントを介して脱気した後、終端側の前記ミキシング部で完全に溶融混練することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の2軸型連続混練押出装置。
- 複数の前記ミキシング部における前記ミキシングロータと前記ケーシングの前記通路部内壁とのギャップは、樹脂が溶融する過程で粘度が低下する場合には、前記2軸混練送り部の終端側に移るに従って小さく設計され、又は樹脂が溶融する過程で粘度が増加する場合には終端に移るに従って大きく設計されていることを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の2軸型連続混練押出装置。
