Abstract
Description
Claims (11)
- 二酸化炭素及び水素を含む供給ガスを、一酸化炭素及び水を含む生成ガスへと変換するための方法であって、
a.前記主反応容器の外側の予熱器内において前記供給ガスを1,400°Fよりも高い入口温度へ加熱して、加熱された供給ガスを生成し、
b.前記予熱器は電気を使用して熱を発生させて前記加熱された供給ガスを生成し、
c.前記加熱された供給ガスを主反応容器へ送り、
d.前記主反応容器は熱損失を最小化した断熱性又はほぼ断熱性の容器であり、
e.前記主反応容器は前記加熱された供給ガスを前記生成ガスへと変換する触媒を収容しており、
f.前記生成ガスは前記主反応容器を出口温度で出て、前記出口温度は前記入口温度よりも低い、方法。 - 前記出口温度が前記入口温度よりも50°F以上低い、請求項1に記載された方法。
- 前記触媒は、炭素を形成させず、1,100℃までの高い熱安定性を有する、請求項3に記載された方法。
- 前記供給ガスはメタンも含む、請求項1に記載された方法。
- 前記生成ガスを第2の予熱器内で加熱して第2の予熱ガスとし、前記第2の予熱ガスを第2の反応容器へ供給する、請求項1に記載された方法。
- 前記生成ガスを冷却し圧縮した後、第2の予熱器で加熱して第2の予熱ガスとし、前記第2の予熱ガスを前記主反応容器へ供給する、請求項1に記載された方法。
- 前記予熱器は前記供給ガスにおける1メートルトンのCO2あたり0.5MWh未満の電気を使用する、請求項1に記載された方法。
- 前記予熱器は前記供給ガスにおける1メートルトンのCO2あたり0.4MWh未満の電力を使用する、請求項1に記載された方法。
- 前記加熱されたガスから前記生成ガスへのCO2変換が60mol%以上である、請求項1に記載された方法。
- 前記加熱された供給ガスから前記生成ガスへのCO2変換が70mol%以上である、請求項1に記載された方法。
- 二酸化炭素及び水素を含む供給ガスを、一酸化炭素及び水を含む生成ガスへと変換する方法であって、
a.前記主反応容器の外側の予熱器内で前記供給ガスを1,500°Fよりも高い入口温度へ加熱して、加熱された供給ガスを生成し、
b.前記予熱器は電気を使用して熱を発生させて前記加熱された供給ガスを生成し、
c.前記加熱された供給ガスを主反応容器へ送り、
d.電気により発生した熱を前記主反応容器へ供給することにより前記主反応容器を等温状態又はそれに近い状態に維持し、
e.前記主反応容器は前記加熱された供給ガスを前記生成ガスへと変換する触媒を収容しており、
f.前記生成ガスは前記主反応器を出口温度で出て、前記出口温度は前記入口温度の5°以内である、方法。
