また、前記正極絶縁層および前記負極絶縁層は、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)を含んでもよい。
本発明のその他の具体的な事項は、詳細な説明および図面に含まれている。
電極集電体が電極絶縁層を含む多層構造に形成され、有機溶媒を用いて複数の電極タブの電極絶縁層をエッチングすることにより、隣り合う電極タブ同士で互いに接触することで複数の電極タブを全て電気的に連結させることができるため、1つの電極リードを複数の電極タブに容易に連結することができる。
図1は、本発明の一実施形態に係るパウチ型二次電池1の組立図である。
パウチ型二次電池1を製造する過程は、先ず、電極活物質とバインダーおよび可塑剤を混合したスラリーを正極集電体101および負極集電体102に塗布して正極および負極などの電極を製造し、それをセパレータ(Separator)の両側に積層することで所定形状の電極組立体10を形成した後、電極組立体10を電池ケース13に挿入し、電解液の注入後にシールする。
上記で記述したように、正極および負極などの電極は、電極活物質とバインダーおよび可塑剤を混合したスラリーを正極集電体101および負極集電体102などの電極集電体101、102にそれぞれ塗布して製造する。
本発明の一実施形態によると、電極集電体101、102が電極絶縁層1013、1023を含む多層構造に形成され、有機溶媒2を用いて複数の電極タブ11の電極絶縁層1013、1023をエッチングすることにより、隣り合う電極タブ11同士で互いに接触することで複数の電極タブ11を全て電気的に連結させることができるため、1つの電極リード12を複数の電極タブ11に容易に連結することができる。

Claims (11)
- 第1正極ホイル、正極絶縁層、および第2正極ホイルが順に積層されて形成された正極集電体の少なくとも一部に正極活物質を塗布して正極を製造し、第1負極ホイル、負極絶縁層、および第2負極ホイルが順に積層されて形成された負極集電体の少なくとも一部に負極活物質を塗布して負極を製造するステップと、
前記正極と前記負極との間にセパレータを介在させるステップと、
前記正極集電体において前記正極活物質が塗布されていない正極タブおよび前記負極集電体において前記負極活物質が塗布されていない負極タブの少なくとも一部の領域から、それぞれ前記正極絶縁層および前記負極絶縁層を除去するステップと、
前記正極タブおよび前記負極タブにそれぞれ正極リードおよび負極リードを連結するステップと
を含む、電極組立体の製造方法。 - 前記正極絶縁層および前記負極絶縁層を除去するステップは、前記正極タブおよび前記負極タブを有機溶媒に浸漬するステップを含む、請求項1に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 前記正極絶縁層および前記負極絶縁層は、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)を含む、請求項2に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 前記有機溶媒は、アセトンを含む、請求項2または3に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 前記正極タブおよび前記負極タブの全長の20%~80%が前記有機溶媒に浸漬される、請求項2から4のいずれか一項に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 前記正極タブおよび前記負極タブは、前記有機溶媒に30秒~2分間浸漬される、請求項2から6のいずれか一項に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 前記正極絶縁層および前記負極絶縁層を除去するステップは、前記正極タブおよび前記負極タブを有機溶媒に浸漬するステップ後に、前記有機溶媒を乾燥するステップをさらに含む、請求項2から6のいずれか一項に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 前記正極絶縁層および前記負極絶縁層を除去するステップは、有機溶媒を前記正極タブおよび前記負極タブに噴射するステップを含む、請求項1に記載の電極組立体の製造方法。
- 正極集電体の少なくとも一部に正極活物質が塗布された正極と、
負極集電体の少なくとも一部に負極活物質が塗布された負極と、
前記正極と前記負極との間に介在されるセパレータとを含み、
前記正極集電体は、第1正極ホイル、正極絶縁層、および第2正極ホイルが順に積層されて形成され、
前記負極集電体は、第1負極ホイル、負極絶縁層、および第2負極ホイルが順に積層されて形成され、
前記正極集電体において正極活物質が塗布されていない正極タブの少なくとも一部の領域から前記正極絶縁層が除去され、
前記負極集電体において負極活物質が塗布されていない負極タブの少なくとも一部の領域から前記負極絶縁層が除去されている、電極組立体。 - 前記正極絶縁層が前記正極タブから前記正極タブの全長の20%~80%除去され、
前記負極絶縁層が前記負極タブから前記負極タブの全長の20%~80%除去されている、請求項9に記載の電極組立体。 - 前記正極絶縁層および前記負極絶縁層は、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)を含む、請求項9または10に記載の電極組立体。
