Abstract

接着剤組成物は、(i)7.0~12.0、もしくは8.0~10.0、もしくは8.3~9.8超のpH、および/または(ii)500時間超、もしくは1000時間超、もしくは1500時間超、もしくは1700時間超の剪断、および/または(iii)200g/in~1500g/in、もしくは500g/in~1000g/in、もしくは650g/in~900g/inの90°剥離強度(ステンレス鋼)、および/または(iv)200g/in~1000g/in、もしくは300g/in~750g/in、もしくは300g/in~450g/inの90°剥離強度(HDPE)、および/または(v)200g/in~1500g/in、もしくは400g/in~1000g/in、もしくは650g/in~800g/inのループタック(ステンレス鋼)、および/または(vi)200g/in~1000g/in、もしくは300g/in~750g/in、もしくは350g/in~650g/inのループタック(HDPE)といった特性のうちの1つ、いくつか、またはすべてを有する。
本開示は、物品を提供する。この物品は、基材および基材上のコーティングを含む。コーティングは、接着剤組成物を含有する。接着剤組成物は、(A)多段ラテックスポリマー粒子、(B)線状ジアミン塩基、および(C)エトキシル化界面活性剤を含有する。(A)多段ラテックスポリマー粒子は、(i)アクリル酸モノマーおよび第1のビニルモノマーを含有する第1段目のポリマーと、(ii)メタアクリル酸モノマーおよび第2のビニルモノマーを含有する第2段目のポリマーと、を含むが、ただし、第2のビニルモノマーがメタアクリル酸モノマーとは異なることを条件とする。第1段目のポリマーは、第2段目のポリマーに結合している。
比較試料1(CS 1)は、アクリル酸2-エチルヘキシル(EHA)、メタクリル酸メチル(MMA)、スチレン(STY)、およびアクリル酸(AA)の乳化重合によって調製された単段ラテックスポリマー粒子を含む水性組成物である。CS 1は、CS 1コポリマーの総重量に基づいて、80.8重量%のEHA、16.3重量%のMMA、1.9重量%のSTY、および1重量%のAAを含有するコポリマーである。
試料2~9はそれぞれ、乳化重合によって調製された多段ラテックスポリマー粒子を含む水性組成物である。
表5の比較試料(CS)および実施例組成物(Ex)を、0.8ミルのBird(商標)アプリケーターを使用して、滑り止め層(Mitsubishi Polyester Filmから入手可能なRAF HOSTAPHAN(商標)2 PROKN 1S.silフィルム)を備えた厚さ1.2ミルのポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)フィルムの表面上にコーティングする。次に、コーティングを2.0ミルの厚さを有する二軸配向ポリプロピレン(BOPP)フィルム(Griff Papersが供給)と接触させる。
本開示は、本明細書に含まれる実施形態および例示に限定されず、実施形態の一部、および異なる実施形態の要素の組み合わせを含むそれらの実施形態の変更された形態を、以下の特許請求の範囲に該当する範囲で含むことが特に意図されている。
Claims (20)
- 接着剤組成物であって、
(A)多段ラテックスポリマー粒子であって、
(i)第1段目のポリマーであって、
アクリル酸モノマー、
第1のビニルモノマー、を含む、第1段目のポリマー、
(ii)前記第1段目のポリマーに結合した第2段目のポリマーであって、前記第2段目のポリマーが、
メタアクリル酸モノマー、
第2のビニルモノマーを含むが、ただし、前記第2のビニルモノマーが、前記メタアクリル酸モノマーとは異なることを条件とする、第2段目のポリマー、を含む、多段ラテックスポリマー粒子と、
(B)線状ジアミン塩基と、
(C)エトキシル化界面活性剤と、を含む、接着剤組成物。 - 前記第1のビニルモノマーが、アクリル酸2-エチルヘキシル、メタクリル酸メチル、およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記第2のビニルモノマーが、アクリル酸2-エチルヘキシルである、請求項1または2に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記多段ポリマー粒子が、
(i)前記第1段目のポリマーであって、
前記第1段目のポリマーの乾燥重量に基づいて、0.1重量%~10重量%の前記アクリル酸モノマーの重合単位、
アクリル酸2-エチルヘキシル、メタクリル酸メチル、およびそれらの組み合わせから選択される前記第1のビニルモノマー、からなる、第1段目のポリマー、
(ii)前記第2段目のポリマーであって、
前記第2段目のポリマーの乾燥重量に基づいて、0.1重量%~10重量%の前記メタアクリル酸モノマーの重合単位と、
アクリル酸2-エチルヘキシルである前記第2のビニルモノマーと、からなる、第2段目のポリマー、からなる、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の接着剤組成物。 - 前記第1段目のポリマーが、84,000g/mol~1,000,000g/molの重量平均分子量Mwを有する、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記多段ラテックスポリマー粒子が、-50℃~0℃のガラス転移温度Tgを有する、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記線状ジアミン塩基が、ポリエーテルアミンである、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 前記エトキシル化界面活性剤が、エトキシル化トリデシルアルコールを含む、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の接着剤組成物。
- (A)90重量%~99重量%の多段ラテックスポリマー粒子と、
(B)0.1重量%~1重量%の線状ジアミン塩基と、
(C)0.01重量%~1重量%のエトキシル化界面活性剤と、を含む、請求項1~9のいずれか一項に記載の接着剤組成物。 - 前記接着剤組成物が、500時間~3000時間の剪断を有する、請求項1~10のいずれか一項に記載の接着剤組成物。
- 請求項1~11のいずれか一項に記載の接着剤組成物と接触した基材を含む物品。
- 物品であって、
基材、
前記基材上のコーティング、を含み、前記コーティングが、
(A)多段ラテックスポリマー粒子であって、
(i)第1段目のポリマーであって、
アクリル酸モノマー、
第1のビニルモノマー、を含む、第1段目のポリマー、
(ii)前記第1段目のポリマーに結合した第2段目のポリマーであって、前記第2段目のポリマーが、
メタアクリル酸モノマー、
第2のビニルモノマー、を含むが、ただし、前記第2のビニルモノマーが、前記メタアクリル酸モノマーとは異なることを条件とする、第2段目のポリマー、を含む、多段ラテックスポリマー粒子と、
(B)線状ジアミン塩基と、
(C)エトキシル化界面活性剤と、を含む、物品。 - 前記第1のビニルモノマーが、アクリル酸2-エチルヘキシル、メタクリル酸メチル、およびそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項13に記載の物品。
- 前記第2のビニルモノマーが、アクリル酸2-エチルヘキシルである、請求項13または14に記載の物品。
- 前記線状ジアミン塩基が、ポリエーテルアミンである、請求項13~15のいずれか一項に記載の物品。
- 前記エトキシル化界面活性剤が、エトキシル化トリデシルアルコールを含む、請求項13~16のいずれか一項に記載の物品。
- 前記コーティングが、500時間~3000時間の剪断を有する、請求項13~17のいずれか一項に記載の物品。
- 前記基材が、二軸配向ポリプロピレンフィルムを含み、前記物品が、200g/in~1000g/inの90°剥離(ステンレス鋼)を有する、請求項13~18のいずれか一項に記載の物品。
- 前記基材が、二軸配向ポリプロピレンフィルムを含み、前記物品が、200g/in~1000g/inのループタック(HDPE)を有する、請求項13~19のいずれか一項に記載の物品。
