Claims (15)
- エアロゾル生成物質を保存するカートリッジと、
前記カートリッジが収容される本体と、を含み、
前記カートリッジは、
前記エアロゾル生成物質の収容空間を含むハウジングと、
前記ハウジングの厚さ方向に前記ハウジングを貫通する少なくとも1つの抵抗素子と、を含み、
前記本体は、
前記カートリッジが収容された場合、前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子と電気的に連結される少なくとも1つの接触素子を含む、エアロゾル生成装置。 - 前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子は、
一側面が前記エアロゾル生成物質と接触され、前記一側面に対向する他の側面が前記本体と接触される、請求項1に記載のエアロゾル生成装置。 - 前記少なくとも1つの接触素子を介して前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子に印加される電流による前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子の抵抗変化量に基づいて、前記エアロゾル生成物質の残量を推定するプロセッサをさらに含む、請求項1に記載のエアロゾル生成装置。
- 前記プロセッサは、
前記抵抗変化量が第1しきい値未満であるという決定に基づいて、前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子に前記エアロゾル生成物質が接触されたと決定し、前記抵抗変化量が前記第1しきい値以上であるという決定に基づいて、前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子に前記エアロゾル生成物質が接触されていないと決定し、
前記エアロゾル生成物質が接触されたと決定されたか否かによって前記残量を推定する、請求項3に記載のエアロゾル生成装置。 - 前記プロセッサは、
前記抵抗変化量が小さいほど、前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子に接触されたエアロゾル生成物質の量が多いと推定し、
前記抵抗変化量が大きいほど前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子に接触されたエアロゾル生成物質の量が少ないと推定する、請求項3に記載のエアロゾル生成装置。 - 前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子は、複数個の抵抗素子であり、
前記プロセッサは、
前記複数の抵抗素子それぞれの個別的な抵抗変化量を測定し、前記複数個の抵抗素子のうち、第1抵抗素子の抵抗変化量と、前記複数個の抵抗素子のうち、第2抵抗素子の抵抗変化量との差に基づいて前記エアロゾル生成物質の残量を推定する、請求項3に記載のエアロゾル生成装置。 - 前記プロセッサは、
前記第1抵抗素子の抵抗変化量と前記第2抵抗素子の抵抗変化量との差が第2しきい値以上であるということに基づいて、前記カートリッジ内のエアロゾル生成物質の水位が前記2つの抵抗素子の間にあると決定する、請求項6に記載のエアロゾル生成装置。 - 前記プロセッサは、
前記印加された電流による前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子の温度変化に対応する抵抗変化量に基づいて、前記エアロゾル生成物質の残量を推定する、請求項3に記載のエアロゾル生成装置。 - 前記プロセッサは、
前記エアロゾル生成物質の気化点未満の温度に前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子の温度が変化されるように、前記電流を前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子に印加する、請求項8に記載のエアロゾル生成装置。 - 前記プロセッサは、
PWM(pulse width modulation)制御によって前記電流を前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子に印加し、前記抵抗変化量に対応する信号をADC(analog-to-digital converter)を通じてデジタル信号に変換し、前記デジタル信号に基づいて前記抵抗変化量を測定する、請求項3に記載のエアロゾル生成装置。 - エアロゾル生成装置の動作方法において、
エアロゾル生成物質の収容空間を含むハウジングの厚さ方向に前記ハウジングを貫通する少なくとも1つの抵抗素子に電流を印加する段階と、
前記印加された電流による前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子の温度変化に対応する抵抗変化量を測定する段階と、
前記抵抗変化量に基づいて前記収容空間内部に保存されたエアロゾル生成物質の残量を推定する段階と、を含む、方法。 - 前記残量を推定する段階は、
前記抵抗変化量が第1しきい値未満であるか、あるいは第1しきい値以上であるかによって、前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子に前記エアロゾル生成物質が接触されたか否かを決定し、
前記エアロゾル生成物質が接触されたと決定されたか否かによって前記残量を推定する段階を含む、請求項11に記載の方法。 - エアロゾル生成装置に使用されるカートリッジにおいて、
エアロゾル生成物質の収容空間を含むハウジングを含み、前記収容空間内部にエアロゾル生成物質を保存する液体保存部と、
前記液体保存部から前記エアロゾル生成物質を伝達される液体伝達手段(wick)と、
前記液体伝達手段に伝達されたエアロゾル生成物質を加熱するヒータと、
前記ハウジングの厚さ方向に前記ハウジングを貫通する少なくとも1つの抵抗素子と、を含み、
前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子は、
一側面が前記エアロゾル生成物質と接触され、前記一側面に対向する他の側面が前記エアロゾル生成装置の本体と接触されることで、前記本体の少なくとも1つの接触素子と電気的に連結される、カートリッジ。 - 前記少なくとも1つの抵抗素子は、複数個の抵抗素子である、請求項13に記載のカートリッジ。
- 前記複数個の抵抗素子は、第1抵抗素子及び第2抵抗素子を含み、前記第2抵抗素子は、前記ハウジングで前記第1抵抗素子と互い異なる高さに配置される、請求項14に記載のカートリッジ。
