Description

本出願は、偏光可変素子に関する。
液晶及び異方性染料は、偏光状態で水平配向された状態で存在する。また、液晶及び異方性染料は、非偏光状態で垂直配向された状態で存在する。
Claims (15)
- フォトクロミック(photochromic)層;及び
液晶及び異方性染料を含み、電圧の印加によって水平配向状態と垂直配向状態の間をスイッチングするゲストホスト液晶層を含む、偏光可変素子。 - 前記フォトクロミック層は、紫外線の照射によって透過度を変化させるフォトクロミック物質を含む、請求項1に記載の偏光可変素子。
- 前記フォトクロミック層は、式1を満足する、請求項1または2に記載の偏光可変素子:
