Abstract
Description
雄部分202及び雌部分204は参照を容易にするためにこのように参照されるが、部分202、204は第1及び第2の部分、上部及び下部などの他の方法で区別されてもよい。
いくつかの実施形態では、雌部分204が湾曲領域221と、湾曲領域221から外に延びてエンクロージャの一部を形成する壁223とを含む。雄部分202と同様に、雌部分204は、雄部分202のエッジ部212を雌部分204のエッジ部222と接合するための特徴を含むことができるエッジ部222を含む。具体的には、雌部分204が雄部分202のエネルギディレクタ215と結合されるように構成される開口部又は溝225をエッジ222内に含むことができる。雌部分204の湾曲領域221は下側部分でエッジ222まで延在する下側部分と呼ぶことができるが、これらの特徴の相対位置には異なる用語を使用することができる。
Claims (16)
- 超音波プローブを形成する方法であって、
ユーザの手によって把持されるように構成されるハウジングの雌部分のエッジに形成される溝にシーリング材を適用するステップと、
前記ハウジングの雄部分のエッジから延在するエネルギディレクタを前記雌部分の溝と位置合わせするステップと、
超音波溶接を用いて前記雄部分及び雌部分をカップリングするステップと
を有し、前記カップリングするステップは、
前記雄部分の前記エネルギディレクタを前記雌部分の溝内に駆動するステップと、
前記エネルギディレクタの一部を前記雌部分の溝の一部とを融着するステップと、
前記溝から変位されるシーリング材を用いて前記雄部分と前記雌部分とを結合することによって形成される継ぎ目をシールするステップと
を有する、方法。 - 前記雄部分及び前記雌部分はプラスチック材料を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記シーリング材は室温加硫シリコーンゴムを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記結合するステップは、前記室温加硫シリコーンゴムの層が前記結合される雄部分及び雌部分の内面及び外面に配置されるように、前記溝から前記室温加硫シリコーンゴムを変位させるステップを更に含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記変位される前記室温加硫シリコーンゴムの一部を、前記結合される雄部分及び雌部分の外面から除去するステップをさらに含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記室温加硫シリコーンゴムの一部は、前記結合するステップの後に、前記エネルギディレクタの対向する壁と前記溝との間の空間内に配置される、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記エネルギディレクタは、テーパ状の遠位部分を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記エネルギディレクタの前記テーパ状の遠位部分を前記溝の下部に融着するステップをさらに含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 超音波プローブであって、
ユーザの手によって把持されるように構成されるハウジングであって、前記ハウジングは、
湾曲した上部及び下部エッジ部を有する雄部分であって、エネルギディレクタが前記下部エッジ部から延在する、雄部分と、
湾曲した下部エッジ部及び上部エッジ部を有する雌部分であって、溝が前記上部エッジ部に形成され、前記エネルギディレクタ及び前記溝が互いに溶接され、前記雄部分と前記雌部分とが共に前記ハウジングを形成するように継ぎ目を形成する、雌部分と
を有する、ハウジングと、
前記溶接されるエネルギディレクタ及び前記溝の周囲に配置されて、前記継ぎ目の周囲にシールを形成するシーリング材と、
前記ハウジングに結合され、超音波データを得るように構成されるトランスデューサと
を有する、超音波プローブ。 - 前記雄及び雌部分がプラスチック材料を有する、請求項9に記載の超音波プローブ。
- 前記シーリング材は、前記室温加硫シリコーンゴムを有する、請求項9に記載の超音波プローブ。
- 前記室温加硫シリコーンゴムは、前記継ぎ目の内面に配置される、請求項9に記載の超音波プローブ。
- 前記室温加硫シリコーンゴムは、前記継ぎ目の外面上に配置される、請求項9に表面の超音波プローブ。
- 前記室温加硫シリコーンゴムは、前記エネルギディレクタの対向する壁と前記溝との間の空間内に配置される、請求項9に記載の超音波プローブ。
- 前記ハウジングは、前記ハウジングの遠位端の第1の開口部と、前記ハウジングの近位端の第2の開口部とを備える、請求項9に記載の超音波プローブ。
- 前記継ぎ目は、前記ハウジングの長さに沿って前記第1の開口部と前記第2の開口部との間に延在する、請求項15に記載の超音波プローブ。
