Abstract
Description
インクジェット印刷システムは、複数のノズルを備え、ノズルの配置を形成し、作動イベントをいつ作成するかを示す制御信号を共有する。インクジェット印刷では、プリントヘッドには、1列のノズルから大きな2Dアレイまで、ノズルアレイを形成する複数のノズルが含まれる。ノズルアレイは、ドライブ電子機器から受信される共通のドライブ信号を共有する。別個のまたは統合された制御器は、個々のノズルのどれが作動イベントの所与のインスタンスに対してインクを噴射するかを決定するプリントヘッドへのデータ切り替えを提供する。
「印刷経路」は、印刷用の表面に対するノズルの配列の動きを表す。たとえば、印刷経路は、印刷プロセス中のノズルの配列と目的物(形状)の相対的な動きである。「経路」は、ノズルの下を通過する表面上の複数の位置を表す。個々のノズルの経路を決定することで、ノズルが目標表面を横切ってトレースする軌跡が提供される。この相対的な動きは、たとえノズルの配置が静的で目的物が移動する場合、または両方が移動して相対的な動きを提供する場合でも、等しい。
一例では、円錐形のフルハイト印刷が開発された。既知のプロセスには、「重ねられる」ソース画像のピクセルの位置と一致するように滴の位置を修正することが含まれますが、図1に示されるように、表面の形状の変化によって生じる出力の密度の変化を修正する必要がある。
Claims (10)
- 少なくとも2つのノズルの配列を含み、前記配列と目的物の表面が互いに関連して移動し、各ノズルが目的物の表面上のそれぞれの経路をたどり、そして各ノズルが前記ノズルのそれぞれの経路に沿った実際の噴射位置に滴を飛ばすように構成されたシステムを制御する方法であって、該方法は、
ノズルによってたどられる各経路について、目標ピッチで規則的に間隔を空けられる複数の目標噴射位置を定義する工程と、
前記配置から任意のノズルが相対運動中に前記ノズルのそれぞれの経路に沿って到達する最大速度を決定する工程と、
前記目標噴射位置と目標噴射位置に最も近い実際の噴射位置との間の距離となる各目標噴射位置に関連する誤差距離を定義する工程と、
最大値をゼロ以上とする誤差距離の最大値を設定する工程と、
前記配列のための一連の作動イベントを含む第一の制御信号を提供する工程であって、前記第一の制御信号が前記配列における全てのノズルに共通し、一連の作動イベントが前記ノズルによってたどられる経路に沿った各ノズルの一連の潜在的な噴射位置と一致し、作動イベントは、全てのノズルの連続する潜在的な噴射位置間における最大距離が実際の噴射位置における誤差距離の最大値の2倍に制限されるように選択された規則的な間隔で提供され、前記最大距離が前記間隔に前記最大速度を乗算したものである工程と、
各ノズルについて、ノズルの実際の噴射位置のセットである潜在的な噴射位置のサブセットを選択する工程であって、そのノズルの各目標噴射位置について、誤差距離の最大値よりも前記目標噴射位置により近接した前記セットにおける実際の噴射位置である工程と、
一連の作動イベントにおける各作動イベントについてノズルのサブセットを配列から決定する工程であって、前記ノズルについて実際の噴射位置のセットから実際の噴射位置に各ノズルがある工程と
を含む、システムを制御する方法。 - 誤差距離の最大値が目標ピッチの半分以下である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 誤差距離の最大値が目標ピッチの10%から20%以内である、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 実際の噴射位置ごとに画像データを提供し、画像データに関連する滴を飛ばすために少なくとも2つのノズルを含む前記配列に第二の制御信号を提供する工程を更に含む、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記工程が第1の最大速度および第1の間隔で第1の相対運動に対して実行され、次いで、前記工程が第1の最大速度とは異なる第2の最大速度および第1の間隔とは異なる第2の間隔で第2の相対運動に対して繰り返される、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 潜在的な噴射位置のサブセットを選択する工程が、前記目標噴射位置に最も近い前記セット内の実際の噴射位置を識別することを含む、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記定義する工程において、ノズルによってたどられる各経路について、複数の目標噴射位置が目標ピッチによって規則的に間隔を空けられ、第1の目標噴射位置の位置は、目標ピッチに等しい前記経路の開始点からの距離内に設定され、前記距離はランダムな分布に従って経路間で変化される、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 制御信号と目的物の表面に対する配列の前記動作を調整させるための同期要素を提供する工程を含む、請求項1~7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも2つのノズルの配列のための制御システムであって、前記配列と目的物の表面が互いに関して移動自在であり、各ノズルが目的物の表面上のそれぞれの経路をたどるように構成され、そして各ノズルがノズルのそれぞれの経路に沿った実際の噴射位置で滴を飛ばすように構成され、
該システムは、
ノズルによってたどられる各経路について、目標ピッチで規則的に間隔を空けられた複数の目標噴射位置を定義することと、
任意のノズルが相対運動中に前記ノズルのそれぞれの経路に沿って前記配列から到達する最大速度を決定することと、
前記目標噴射位置と目標噴射位置に最も近い実際の噴射位置との間の距離である各目標噴射位置に関連する誤差距離を定義することと、
ゼロ以上である、誤差距離についての最大値を設定することと、
前記配列のための一連の作動イベントを含む第一の制御信号を提供することであって、前記第一の制御信号が前記配列における全てのノズルに共通し、一連の作動イベントが前記ノズルによってたどられる経路に沿った各ノズルの一連の潜在的な噴射位置と一致し、前記間隔が全てのノズルの連続する潜在的な噴射位置間における最大距離が実際の噴射位置における誤差距離の最大値の2倍までに制限されるように選択された規則的な間隔で作動イベントが提供され、前記最大距離が前記最大速度で乗算された前記間隔であることと、
各ノズルについて、ノズルの各目標噴射位置について、誤差距離の最大値よりも前記目標噴射位置に近い前記セットにおける実際の噴射位置である、前記ノズルの実際の噴射位置のセットである潜在的な噴射位置のサブセットを選択することと、
各ノズルがノズルの実際の噴射位置のセットから実際の噴射位置にあるノズルのサブセットを一連の作動イベントにおける各作動イベントについて前記配列から決定することと
を行うように構成された処理装置を備える、制御システム。 - 請求項9に記載の制御システムを含む、印刷システム。
