Abstract
Description
Claims (23)
- 過フッ素化化学物質(PFC)を含む水を処理する方法であって、
正に帯電した界面活性剤が充填された活性炭を含む活性炭床を準備することと、
前記活性炭床に前記水を導入して前記PFCの吸着を促進することと、
を含む、方法。 - 前記PFCが、ペルフルオロオクタンスルホン酸(PFOS)またはペルフルオロオクタン酸(PFOA)を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記正に帯電した界面活性剤が、第四級アンモニウム系界面活性剤である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第四級アンモニウム系界面活性剤が、セチルトリメチルアンモニウムクロリド(CTAC)である、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記活性炭が、粒状活性炭(GAC)である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記活性炭床の生成物ストリームを、さらなる処理のために、下流のユニット操作に導入することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記活性炭床の下流のPFC破過レベルを監視することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記PFC破過レベルがいつ所定の閾値を超えるかを予測することをさらに含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 予測されたPFC破過時間に応じて、第2の活性炭床をオンラインにすることをさらに含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記活性炭を再生することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記再生された活性炭に前記正に帯電した界面活性剤を再充填することをさらに含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 水処理システムであって、
正に帯電した界面活性剤で処理された活性炭を含む活性炭床と、
前記活性炭床の入口に流体接続されたPFCを含む水源と、
を含む、水処理システム。 - 前記PFCが、ペルフルオロオクタンスルホン酸(PFOS)またはペルフルオロオクタン酸(PFOA)を含む、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 前記正に帯電した界面活性剤が、第四級アンモニウム系界面活性剤である、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 第四級アンモニウム系界面活性剤が、CTACである、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 前記活性炭が、粒状活性炭(GAC)である、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 前記活性炭が、実質的にメソポーラスである、請求項16に記載のシステム。
- 前記活性炭が、未使用または再活性化された炭素材料である、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 前記活性炭が、瀝青炭、ココナッツ殻または無煙炭から作られている、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 前記活性炭床の下流に配置されたPFCセンサーをさらに含む、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 前記PFCセンサーと通信し、かつPFC破過レベルが閾値を超えるまで残っているベッドボリュームの数を予測するように構成されたコントローラーをさらに含む、請求項20に記載のシステム。
- 前記コントローラーが、残りのベッドボリュームの数に基づいてサービスリクエストを生成するように構成されている、請求項21に記載のシステム。
- 破過までのベッドボリュームとして測定された性能が、未処理の活性炭を含むシステムと比較して、少なくとも2倍または少なくとも3倍である、請求項12に記載のシステム。
