- 双方が実質的な円筒形状を有する第1の部材(101)及び第2の部材(102)を含み、ツールボディの中心軸(T)が、前記第1の部材及び前記第2の部材のそれぞれの中心軸(L1、L2)と一致するよう配置されている切削ツールボディ(101)であって、
前記第1の部材(101)は、第1の大きさのツール特性を有し、
前記第2の部材(102)は、前記第1の大きさとは異なる第2の大きさの前記ツール特性を有し、
前記切削ツールボディ(101)は、前記第1の部材と前記第2の部材(102、103)の間に配置された遷移部材(103)であって、第1の端(106)にて前記第1の部材(101)に接続されかつ第2の端(107)にて前記第2の部材(102)に接続されている遷移部材(103)を含み、
前記遷移部材(103)における前記ツール特性は、前記第1の端(106)にて前記第1の大きさであり、前記第2の端(107)にて前記第2の大きさであり、

- いずれの前記内部クーラントチャネルの断面積も、0.01から28mm2の範囲内にある、請求項1から請求項4のいずれか一項に記載の切削ツールボディ。
- いずれのフルート、及び/又は、いずれの内部クーラントチャネルの前記らせん角度も、0°から60°の範囲内にある、請求項1から請求項5のいずれか一項に記載の切削ツールボディ。
- 前記遷移部材は、付加製造により作られている、請求項1から請求項6のいずれか一項に記載の切削ツールボディ。
- 前記ツール特性の、前記第1の大きさから前記第2の大きさへの変換は、前記ツール特性の少なくとも一部に対して連続しており、均一である、請求項1から請求項7のいずれか一項に記載の切削ツールボディ。
- 前記第1の部材、前記第2の部材、及び前記遷移部材は、焼結炭化物製である、請求項1から請求項8のいずれか一項に記載の切削ツールボディ。
- 前記ツールは、
