Abstract
【解決手段】液滴噴射装置は、基板と、アクチュエータと、溶液保持容器22と、を有する。基板は、溶液を吐出するノズル110に連通し、内部に溶液が充填される圧力室210が形成され、溶液をノズル110から吐出する側の第1の面と圧力室へ溶液を供給する側の第2の面を有する。アクチュエータは、圧力室210内の圧力を変化させ、圧力室210内の溶液をノズル110から吐出させる。溶液保持容器22は、溶液を受ける溶液受け口と、圧力室210内に連通する溶液出口を有し、第2の面に配置される。基板は、複数のノズル110を並べたノズル群171、172、173を複数有する液滴噴射アレイを備えている。

Description
第1の実施形態の液滴噴射装置の一例について図1乃至図9を参照して説明する。図1は、溶液の滴下装置1で使用される第1の実施形態の液滴噴射装置2の使用例を示す斜視図である。図2は、液滴噴射装置2の上面図であり、図3は液滴噴射装置2の液滴を噴射する面である下面図を示す。図4は、図2のF4−F4線断面図を示す。図5は、第1の実施形態の液滴噴射装置2の液滴噴射アレイ27を示す平面図である。図6は、図5のF6−F6線断面図である。図7は、図5のF7−F7線断面図である。図8は、液滴噴射装置2のノズル110の周辺構造を示す縦断面図である。図9は、液滴噴射装置2のノズル110と1536Wellマイクロプレート4のウエル開口300との位置関係を示す平面図である。
図10と図11は、第2の実施形態を示す。本実施形態は、第1の実施形態(図1乃至図9参照)の液滴噴射装置2の構成を次の通り変更した変形例である。第1の実施形態では、アクチュエータの一部である駆動素子130は圧電素子であり、溶液の吐出は駆動素子130の変形によって行うピエゾジェット方式の例を示した。これに替えて、第2の実施形態では、サーマルジェット方式のアクチュエータに適用したものである。
以下に、本願出願の当初の特許請求の範囲に記載された発明を付記する。
[1]溶液を吐出するノズルに連通し、内部に溶液が充填される圧力室が形成され、前記溶液を前記ノズルから吐出する側の第1の面と前記圧力室へ溶液を供給する側の第2の面を有する基板と、前記圧力室内の圧力を変化させ、前記圧力室内の溶液を前記ノズルから吐出させるアクチュエータと、溶液を受ける溶液受け口と、前記圧力室内に連通する溶液出口を有し、前記第2の面に配置される溶液保持容器と、を有し、前記基板は、複数の前記ノズルを並べたノズル群を複数有する液滴噴射アレイを備えていることを特徴とする液滴噴射装置。
[2]前記液滴噴射アレイは、前記ノズル群の中で隣接する前記ノズル間の間隔が隣接する前記ノズル群の間隔よりも短い[1]に記載の液滴噴射装置。
[3]前記溶液出口は、複数の前記ノズル群に連通されている[1]または[2]に記載の液滴噴射装置。
[4]前記液滴噴射アレイから噴射される液滴を受ける受部の1つの開口部に対し、1つの前記ノズル群が配置される[1]乃至[3]のいずれか1つに記載の液滴噴射装置。
[5]前記液滴噴射アレイから噴射される液滴を受ける複数の前記受部の前記開口部に対し、それぞれ複数の前記ノズル群が配置される[1]乃至[3]のいずれか1つに記載の液滴噴射装置。
Claims (5)
- 溶液を吐出するノズルに連通し、内部に溶液が充填される圧力室が形成され、前記溶液を前記ノズルから吐出する側の第1の面と前記圧力室へ溶液を供給する側の第2の面を有する基板と、
前記圧力室内の圧力を変化させ、前記圧力室内の溶液を前記ノズルから吐出させるアクチュエータと、
溶液を受ける溶液受け口と、前記圧力室内に連通する溶液出口を有し、前記第2の面に配置される溶液保持容器と、を有し、
前記基板は、複数の前記ノズルを並べたノズル群を複数有する液滴噴射アレイを備えていることを特徴とする液滴噴射装置。 - 前記液滴噴射アレイは、前記ノズル群の中で隣接する前記ノズル間の間隔が隣接する前記ノズル群の間隔よりも短い請求項1に記載の液滴噴射装置。
- 前記溶液出口は、複数の前記ノズル群に連通されている請求項1または請求項2に記載の液滴噴射装置。
- 前記液滴噴射アレイから噴射される液滴を受ける受部の1つの開口部に対し、1つの前記ノズル群が配置される請求項1乃至3のいずれか1つに記載の液滴噴射装置。
- 前記液滴噴射アレイから噴射される液滴を受ける複数の前記受部の前記開口部に対し、それぞれ複数の前記ノズル群が配置される請求項1乃至3のいずれか1つに記載の液滴噴射装置。
