Abstract
Description
a)還元条件下で重量百分率で50%超のジルコンを含む投入物を溶融させて、該ジルコンを還元し、そして溶融物質を得ること、
b)該溶融物質に酸化条件を適用すること、
c)該溶融物質をキャスト(鋳造)すること、
d)該溶融物質がブロックの形態で少なくとも部分的に固化するまで冷却すること、
e)任意的に、上記ブロックを加熱処理すること、特にアニーリング加熱処理すること
の逐次工程を含む、上記方法に関する。
工程a)が、該溶融物質中の該シリカ含有量が15%未満になるまで継続される、
工程b)が、該溶融物質中の炭素含有量が500ppm未満になるまで継続される、
工程a)において、該投入物が、該投入物に基づく重量百分率で、70%超、好ましくは80%超、のジルコンを含む、
工程a)において、該投入物が、該投入物に基づく重量百分率で、還元剤、好ましくは炭素、の量が、2.0%超、好ましくは4.0%超、及び/又は10.0%未満、好ましくは8.0%未満、である組成を示す、

ブロックは、慣用的に、溶融物質が得られるまで、投入物を溶融し、次に冷却によりこの物質を固化することを用いる方法によってそれが得られた場合、「溶融」されたと言われる。
本発明に従う方法に従って製造されるブロックの組成は、溶融されている投入物だけでなく、それぞれ工程a)及びb)において還元及び酸化条件が適用される条件にも依存する。所望のブロックの組成の関数としての、これらの異なるパラメーターの制御は、当業者に周知である。

ナトリウム源、好ましくは炭酸ナトリウム、の粒子:0.5%超、好ましくは1.0%超、好ましくは1.5%超、好ましくは2.0%超、若しくはさらには3.0%超、若しくはさらには3.5%超、及び/又は好ましくは5.0%未満、好ましくは4.5%未満、若しくはさらには4.0%未満、及び/又は
酸化ホウ素の粒子:0.5%超、若しくはさらには1.0%超、若しくはさらには1.5%超、若しくはさらには2.0%超、及び/又は好ましくは5.0%未満、好ましくは4.0%未満、若しくはさらには3.0%未満、及び/又は
他の粒子、すなわち、ジルコン、還元剤、アルミナ、ナトリウム源及び酸化ホウ素の粒子以外:10%未満、好ましくは5%未満、若しくはさらには3%未満、若しくはさらには1%未満、若しくはさらには0.5%未満、若しくはさらには0.1%未満
を示す。
工程d)で得られるブロックは好ましくは、80%超、好ましくは85%超、のジルコニアを含む。
下記の原材料が、これらの実施例で用いられた:
33%シリカを含有するジルコンサンド(zircon sand)、
Pechiney社によって販売され、平均で99.4%のアルミナを含有するAC44型アルミナ、
Na2O源である、炭酸ナトリウム、
およそ98%の炭素を含む、ピッチコークス(pitch coke)。
Claims (16)
- 酸化物に基づく重量百分率で、80%超のジルコニアを含む耐火ブロックを製造する為の方法であって、
a)還元条件下で重量百分率で50%超のジルコンを含む投入物を溶融させて、該ジルコンを還元し、そして溶融物質を得ること、
b)該溶融物質に酸化条件を適用すること、
c)該溶融物質をキャストすること、
d)該溶融物質がブロックの形態で少なくとも部分的に固化するまで冷却すること、
e)任意的に、上記ブロックを加熱処理すること
の逐次工程を含む、前記方法。 - 工程a)が、該溶融物質中の該シリカ含有量が15%未満になるまで継続され、且つ工程b)が、該溶融物質中の炭素含有量が500ppm未満になるまで継続される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 該投入物が、該投入物に基づく重量百分率で、80%超のジルコンを含む、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 該投入物が、該投入物に基づく重量百分率で、還元剤、好ましくは炭素、の量が2.0%超及び10.0%未満である組成を示す、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 還元剤の該量が、4.0%超及び8.0%未満である、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 該投入物が、該投入物に基づく重量百分率で、0.2%超及び3.0%未満の量のアルミナを含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- アルミナの該量が、0.5%超及び2.5%未満である、請求項6に記載の方法。
- アルミナの該量が、1.5%未満である、請求項6又は7に記載の方法。
- 該投入物が、該投入物に基づく重量百分率で、0.5%超及び5.0%未満の量のナトリウム源、好ましくは炭酸ナトリウム、を含む、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- ナトリウム源の該量が、1.0%超及び4.5%未満である、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 該投入物が、1.0%超及び10.0%未満の合計量の、該ジルコニアの安定化剤を含む、請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 該投入物が、4.0%超の合計量の、該ジルコニアの安定化剤を含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 工程d)で得られる該ブロックが、合計100%に対する下記化学組成:
ZrO2:82.0%超及び97.0%未満、
SiO2:0.5%超及び15.0%未満、
Al2O3:0.2%超、
Na2O:0.1%超、
ZrO2、SiO2、Al2O3及びNa2O以外の酸化物種:10.0%未満
を示すように、該投入物が変性される、請求項1〜12のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 工程d)で得られる該ブロックが、合計100%に対する化学組成:
ZrO2:86.0%超、
SiO2:2.5%超、
Al2O3:1.0〜3.0%、
Na2O:0.5%未満、
ZrO2、SiO2、Al2O3及びNa2O以外の酸化物種:5.0%未満
を示すように、該投入物が変性される、請求項13に記載の方法。 - 周囲温度及び重量百分率で、上記ブロックのジルコニアの80%超が単斜晶である、又はジルコニアの25%超が正方晶であるように構成される、請求項1〜14のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 上記ブロックが、10kg超の重量を示すように構成される、請求項1〜15のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
