Claims (15)
- ホログラフィックプロジェクタであって、
反射型液晶ディスプレイデバイスを含み、
前記反射型液晶ディスプレイデバイスは、
第1の基板と前記第1の基板に実質的に平行な第2の基板との間の光変調層であって、前記光変調層は、正の誘電異方性を有する平面配向ネマチック液晶を含み、
前記第1の基板は、実質的に透明であり、前記第1の基板に近接する液晶に第1のプレチルト角θ1を付与するように配置された第1の配向層を含み、θ1>5°であり、
前記第2の基板は、実質的に反射性であり、前記第2の基板に近接する液晶に第2のプレチルト角θ2を付与するように配置された第2の配向層を含み、θ2>5°である、光変調層と、
ピクセル繰り返し距離xを有する前記光変調層上に画定された複数のピクセルであって、x≦10μmであり、
0.5μm≦d≦3μmであって、dは前記第1の基板と前記第2の基板との内面間の距離であり、Δn≧0.20であって、Δnは前記液晶の複屈折である、複数のピクセルと、
位相変調値を有する複数の変調レベルから選択されたそれぞれの変調レベルで各ピクセルを独立に駆動することにより、前記反射型液晶ディスプレイデバイスを駆動してホログラムを表示するように構成されたディスプレイドライバと、を含む
