Description
本出願は、2017年5月11日に出願された「DUNNAGE SUPPLY INTAKE (pending)」と題された米国特許出願公開第15/593,255号の優先権を主張し、参照によりその内容が本明細書に援用される。
Claims (21)
- ストック材料を供給ステーションから長手方向に引っ張り、前記ストック材料を低密度ダンネージに変換するダンネージ変換ステーションであって、
前記ダンネージ変換ステーションは、
吸気部と、
前記吸気部の上流かつ前記ダンネージ変換ステーションの上流部に配置され、前記供給ステーションから引っ張られた前記ストック材料を、前記長手方向に対して略横方向に延びる横軸の周りに曲げる成形部材と、
を含み、
前記成形部材は、支持構造と、中央突出部とを含み、
前記支持構造は、前記横軸と略同じ方向に延在し、前記ストック材料を前記横軸の周りに曲げ、
前記中央突出部は、前記支持構造よりも前記ストック材料の屈曲部内により深く突出し、前記ストック材料が前記支持構造および前記中央突出部を横切って長手方向に移動可能なように、前記ストック材料を、前記横軸と、ストック材料内のほぼ中央に長手方向に延在する長手方向軸との両方の周りに曲げる。 - 前記中央突出部は、前記支持構造から半径方向に延在する、請求項1に記載のダンネージ変換ステーション。
- 前記ストック材料を前記吸気部内に引っ張るように動作可能な駆動メカニズムをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のダンネージ変換ステーション。
- 前記吸気部は、前記成形部材と前記駆動メカニズムとの間に配置された開口部を規定する構造部材を含み、
前記開口部は、前記ストック材料が前記吸気部内に引き込まれ、前記吸気部を通って長手方向に引っ張られるときに、前記ストック材料を収縮させる、請求項1に記載のダンネージ変換ステーション。 - 前記成形部材は、前記ストック材料が前記吸気部内に引っ張られる前に曲がり始めるか、またはカールし始めるように前記ストック材料の経路を操作する、請求項1に記載のダンネージ変換ステーション。
- 前記支持構造は、前記ストック材料の全幅未満にわたって延在する、請求項1に記載のダンネージ変換ステーション。
- 前記支持構造は、前記ストック材料の全幅を超えて延在する、請求項1に記載のダンネージ変換ステーション。
- 前記支持構造は、横方向に延びる円筒形状の棒である、請求項1に記載のダンネージ変換ステーション。
- 前記棒は、横方向の自由端を含み、
前記自由端は、十分に広いストック材料が前記自由端の周りに巻き付くことを可能にする、請求項8に記載のダンネージ変換ステーション。 - 前記中央突出部は、
半円形状の突出部であり、
前記支持構造の横方向に延在する軸に垂直な軸を有する、請求項1に記載のダンネージ変換ステーション。 - 前記中央突出部は、前記支持構造の長さの1/10以上1/2以下の間隔で前記支持部材から離れて延在する、請求項1に記載のダンネージ変換ステーション。
- 前記中央突出部は、前記支持構造の中心軸を通る水平面から15°以上75°以下で後方に延在する、請求項1に記載のダンネージ変換ステーション。
- 前記成形部材は、前記成形部材から延びる接続部材によって前記吸気部に接続される、請求項1に記載のダンネージ変換ステーション。
- 前記成形部材は、前記ストック材料が前記供給ステーションから前記吸気部を通して引っ張られるとき、前記ストック材料の向きを変えるように配置される、請求項1に記載のダンネージ変換ステーション。
- 前記成形部材は、前記開口部よりも2倍以上8倍以下の広さである、請求項4に記載のダンネージ変換ステーション。
- 請求項1に記載のダンネージ変換ステーションと、
前記ストック材料を保持するように構成された前記供給ステーションと、
を含むダンネージシステム。 - 前記供給ステーションは、前記成形部材の幅よりも広いストック材料を保持するように構成される、請求項16に記載のダンネージシステム。
- ダンネージ変換ステーションを有し、
前記ダンネージ変換ステーションは、
ダンネージ吸気部と、
横方向障壁部材と、
駆動メカニズムと、
を有し、
前記ダンネージ吸気部は、ストック材料が引っ張られ、前記ダンネージ吸気部を通るように、前記ストック材料を収縮させる開口部を規定する外側構造を有し、
前記横方向障壁部材は、前記ダンネージ吸気部に引き込まれ、前記ダンネージ吸気部を通る前記ストック材料の横幅に対応する方向に前記外側構造から延在し、前記ストック材料を有意に拘束することなく前記ストック材料が前記外側構造の周りに巻き付く傾向を制限するようにし、
前記駆動メカニズムは、変換ステーションの下流に配置され、前記ダンネージ吸気部を通る前記ストック材料を受け取り、引っ張る、
ダンネージ変換機。 - 前記横方向障壁部材は、前記ダンネージ吸気部から横方向に突出し、前記ダンネージ吸気部の高さよりも低い複数の耳部を含む、請求項18に記載のダンネージ変換機。
- 少なくとも1つの前記耳部が、スタンドへの取り付け部を形成する、請求項19に記載のダンネージ変換機。
- 変換ステーションをさらに含み、
前記変換ステーションは、前記ダンネージ吸気部の上流に配置された成形部材を備え、
