Abstract
Description
LEDモジュールのストリング(一続きのもの)を有し、LEDモジュールのストリングは、
ストリングの両端の一対の終端LEDモジュールであり、終端LEDモジュールの各々が、該LEDモジュールのアノード及びカソードにそれぞれ接続された2つの外部端子を有する、一対の終端LEDモジュールと、
終端LEDモジュールのうちの一方のカソードに接続されたアノードと、終端LEDモジュールのうちの他方のアノードに接続されたカソードと、を有する中間LEDモジュールと
を含み、
外部端子のうちの選択された組み合わせ間に電流を供給することによって、如何なる組み合わせでもLEDモジュールがオンに切り換えられることができる。
基板層と、
基板層上に配列された、上述の実施形態のうちの何れかに従ったLEDユニットのアレイと、
LEDユニットの外部端子に電気的に接続され且つ平面内に分布された1つ以上の配線要素を有する配線層と

Claims (12)
- LEDユニットであって、
LEDモジュールのストリングを有し、当該LEDモジュールのストリングは、
第1の終端LEDモジュールであり、当該第1の終端LEDモジュールのアノード及びカソードにそれぞれ接続された2つの外部端子を有する第1の終端LEDモジュールと、
第2の終端LEDモジュールであり、当該第2の終端LEDモジュールのアノード及びカソードにそれぞれ接続された2つの外部端子を有する第2の終端LEDモジュールと、
前記第2の終端LEDモジュールの前記カソードに接続されたアノードと、前記第1の終端LEDモジュールの前記アノードに接続されたカソードと、を有する中間LEDモジュールと
を含み、
当該LEDユニットは更に、
前記第1及び第2の終端LEDモジュールの前記外部端子のみに構成変更可能に結合され、且つ如何なる組み合わせでも前記第1及び第2の終端LEDモジュール及び前記中間LEDモジュールがオンに切り換えられることができるように、前記外部端子のうちの選択された組み合わせ間に電流を供給するように適応されたコントローラユニット、

を有する照明装置。 - 前記基板層に熱的に結合されたヒートシンク層、を更に有する請求項3に記載の照明装置。
- 前記アレイ内の隣接し合うLEDモジュール間の間隔が0.03mmと0.07mmとの間である、請求項3又は4に記載の照明装置。
- ビーム整形機能を果たすように前記LEDモジュールよりも光学的下流に位置付けられた1つ以上のビーム整形装置、を更に有する請求項3乃至5の何れかに記載の照明装置。
- 前記1つ以上のビーム整形装置は、異なるLEDモジュールによって発せられた光を異なる方向に導くように構成される、請求項6に記載の照明装置。
- 前記1つ以上のビーム整形装置の各々が、前記LEDモジュールのうちの1つ以上からなる連続したサブグループと光学的にアライメントされている、請求項6又は7に記載の照明装置。
- 前記1つ以上のビーム整形装置は、1つ以上のグループをなすビーム整形装置を有し、特定のグループのメンバーが、一緒になって特定の形状のビームを生成するように適応される、請求項7又は8に記載の照明装置。
- 各グループのメンバーが、LEDモジュールの前記アレイにわたって非連続的に分散される、請求項9に記載の照明装置。
- 前記基板層は、湾曲した基板である、請求項3乃至10の何れかに記載の照明装置。
- 当該照明装置は、自動車照明ユニットの一部を形成する、請求項3乃至11の何れかに記載の照明装置。
