Claims (10)
- 軽水炉の使用済燃料から分離されたプルトニウム及び核分裂生成物を含む液、又は前記液を固体にしたものを貯蔵する貯蔵工程を含む、使用済燃料の処理方法。
- 前記液は、
前記使用済燃料を溶解した水溶液からウラン及びプルトニウムを抽出し前記水溶液に残った前記核分裂生成物を得る共除染工程と、
前記共除染工程で抽出されたウランとプルトニウムとを分離する分配工程と、
前記分配工程で分離されたプルトニウムと前記核分裂生成物を含む前記水溶液とを混合する混合工程と、を含む操作により作製する、請求項1記載の処理方法。 - 前記分配工程は、還元剤を用いてプルトニウムを還元する工程を含む、請求項2記載の処理方法。
- 前記液は、
前記使用済燃料を溶解した水溶液に還元剤を添加してプルトニウムを還元し、前記水溶液からウランを抽出し前記水溶液に残ったプルトニウム及び前記核分裂生成物を得る共除染工程を含む操作により作製する、請求項1記載の処理方法。 - 前記還元剤は、硝酸ヒドロキシルアミンを含む、請求項3又は4に記載の処理方法。
- 軽水炉の使用済燃料から分離されたプルトニウム及び核分裂生成物を含む液、又は前記液を固体にしたものを貯蔵する貯蔵施設を含む、使用済燃料の処理システム。
- 前記使用済燃料を溶解した水溶液からウラン及びプルトニウムを抽出し前記水溶液に残った前記核分裂生成物を得る分離施設と、
前記分離施設にて抽出されたウランとプルトニウムとを分離する分配施設と、
前記分配施設にて分離されたプルトニウムと前記核分裂生成物を含む前記水溶液とを混合して前記液を作製する混合施設と、を更に含む、請求項6記載の使用済燃料の処理システム。 - 前記分配施設は、前記分離施設にて抽出されたウラン及びプルトニウムを含む液に還元剤を添加してプルトニウムを還元する装置を有する、請求項7記載の処理システム。
- 前記使用済燃料を溶解した水溶液に還元剤を添加してプルトニウムを還元し、前記水溶液からウランを抽出し前記水溶液に残ったプルトニウム及び前記核分裂生成物を得る分離施設を更に含む、請求項6記載の処理システム。
- 前記還元剤は、硝酸ヒドロキシルアミンを含む、請求項8又は9に記載の処理システム。
