上記の方法により、3Dプリンタは、インポートされた3Dオブジェクト2の4つの座標点を取得すれば、印刷ステージ1上の3Dオブジェクト2の位置を確認することができ、非常に高速である。

Claims (12)
- 3Dプリンタに適用されるオブジェクト境界検出方法であって、
(a)3Dプリンタの円形の印刷テーブルの基準位置決め点を取得するステップと、
(b)インポートされた3Dオブジェクトを2D平面に投影して前記3Dオブジェクトの複数の2D座標点を取得するステップと、
(c)前記複数の2D座標点に基づいて2D凸包を算出するステップと、
(d)前記2D凸包の全ての頂点を取得するステップと、
(e)前記基準位置決め点及び前記複数の頂点に基づいて、前記3Dオブジェクトが前記印刷テーブルの範囲内に収まるか否かを判定するか、又は、前記印刷テーブルの中心位置、半径及び前記複数の頂点に基づいて、前記3Dオブジェクトが前記印刷テーブルの範囲内に収まるか否かを判定するステップと、
(f)前記3Dオブジェクトが前記印刷テーブルの範囲内に完全に収まると判定した場合、前記3Dプリンタが前記3Dオブジェクトを印刷することを許可するステップと、を含むことを特徴とするオブジェクト境界を検出する方法。 - (g)前記3Dオブジェクトが前記印刷テーブルの範囲内に完全に収まらないと判定した場合、警告信号を発するステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオブジェクト境界を検出する方法。
- 前記ステップ(e)は、
(e11)前記印刷テーブルの前記中心位置を取得するステップと、
(e12)前記印刷テーブルの前記半径を取得するステップと、
(e13)前記2D凸包の各前記頂点から前記中心位置までの第1の距離をそれぞれ算出するステップと、
(e14)各前記第1の距離が前記半径より大きいか否かを判定するステップと、
(e15)前記第1の距離のいずれかが前記半径より大きい場合、前記3Dオブジェクトが前記印刷テーブルの範囲を超えると判定するステップと、
(e16)各前記第1の距離が前記半径以下である場合、前記3Dオブジェクトが前記印刷テーブルの範囲を超えないと判定するステップと、を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオブジェクト境界を検出する方法。 - 前記ステップ(e11)において、前記基準位置決め点及び前記印刷テーブルの配置位置に基づいて前記中心位置の座標点を算出することを特徴とする請求項3に記載のオブジェクト境界を検出する方法。
- 前記ステップ(e12)は、前記基準位置決め点及び前記印刷テーブルの配置位置とサイズに基づいて前記印刷テーブルの各エッジ位置の座標点を算出し、前記中心位置及びいずれかの前記エッジ位置に基づいて前記半径を算出することを特徴とする請求項4に記載のオブジェクト境界を検出する方法。
- 前記ステップ(e)は、
(e21)前記印刷テーブルに対応する円形方程式を取得するステップと、
(e22)前記2D凸包の各前記頂点から前記基準位置決め点までの第1の接続線をそれぞれ算出するステップと、
(e23)前記第1の接続線と前記円形方程式との交点情報をそれぞれ算出するステップと、
(e24)各前記第1の接続線と前記円形方程式とが1つの交点のみを有するか否かを判定するステップと、
(e25)各前記第1の接続線と前記円形方程式とが1つの交点のみを有する場合、前記3Dオブジェクトが前記印刷テーブルの範囲を超えないと判定するステップと、
(e26)いずれかの前記第1の接続線と前記円形方程式とが複数の交点を有する場合、前記3Dオブジェクトが前記印刷テーブルの範囲を超えると判定するステップと、を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオブジェクト境界を検出する方法。 - 前記ステップ(e25)において、各前記第1の接続線と前記円形方程式とが1つの交点のみを有すると判定した場合、各前記頂点及び前記基準位置決め点を通過する複数の直線をそれぞれ生成し、各前記直線上の前記基準位置決め点と前記円形方程式との交点の最大距離を取得し、各前記第1の接続線が対応する各前記最大距離以下である場合、前記3Dオブジェクトが前記印刷テーブルの範囲を超えないと判定することを特徴とする請求項6に記載のオブジェクト境界を検出する方法。
- 前記基準位置決め点は、前記3Dプリンタの左下隅にあることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオブジェクト境界を検出する方法。
- 前記3Dプリンタは、前記3Dオブジェクトがインポートされた後、前記ステップ(a)〜前記ステップ(f)を自動的に実行する処理ユニットを備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオブジェクト境界を検出する方法。
- 前記3Dプリンタは、SLA(Stereolithography)方式の3Dプリンタであり、前記印刷テーブルは、光硬化性成形液を収容するための収容槽であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオブジェクト境界を検出する方法。
- 前記3Dプリンタは、FDM(Fused Deposition Modeling)方式の3Dプリンタであり、前記印刷テーブルは、載置ステージであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオブジェクト境界を検出する方法。
- 前記ステップ(b)において、インポートされた前記3Dオブジェクトを前記印刷テーブルの2D平面に投影して、前記3Dオブジェクトの複数の2D座標点を取得することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のオブジェクト境界を検出する方法。
