Abstract
Description
本出願は、2016年11月18日に出願された米国仮出願番号第62/424,146号の米国特許法第119条(e)項の下の利益を主張しており、その全体の開示は参考として本明細書中に援用される。
多くの手順は、小皺および皺を減らすことによって皮膚の表面の外観を変化させることを目的としている。これらの手順のうちのいくつかは、フィラーの注入またはコラーゲン生成の促進を含む。近年では、皺の軽減およびその他の美容用途のための薬理学的作用をベースとした療法に人気が集まってきている。
本発明は、患者の皮膚の美容外観を改善するための皮膚の下の低温スラリーの標的送達を対象とする。皮膚の望ましくない皺または小皺の外観は、皮膚の下に横たわる筋組織の収縮によって生じ得る。低温スラリー処置の標的となる組織は、筋肉、筋肉を支配する神経、または筋肉と支配神経との組合せであってもよい。低温スラリーによる筋肉および/または神経の冷却は、筋肉の収縮を阻害することによって、皺または小皺の外観を低減することができる。また、標的組織は、覆っている組織をたるませ、皺または小皺を形成させる脂肪組織であってもよい。低温スラリーは、脂肪組織を冷却し、アポトーシスを誘発することによって、組織のサイズを縮小する。低温は、同時に、皮膚を支える結合組織を厚くかつ堅くすることによって、皺または小皺を減らす。また、低温スラリーは、セルライトおよびざ瘡の処置にも使用することができる。
本発明は、低温スラリーを皮膚の下に位置する標的組織へ送達することを含む。低温スラリーは、対象の皮膚に通して挿入される送達デバイスを使用して提供される。低温スラリーは、標的組織を冷却して、標的組織の組成および/またはその挙動を変化させる。とりわけ、すぐに応用されるこの低温スラリー処置は、対象の皮膚を引き締めることと、対象の外観を改善するように皺および小皺を減らすことである。
Claims (20)
- 対象の皮膚の美容外観を改善する方法であって、
送達デバイスから対象の皮膚の下の標的組織へ低温スラリーを送達することによって、前記標的組織を冷却すること
を含む、方法。 - 前記標的組織が、結合組織、脂肪組織、およびこれらの組合せのうちのいずれか1つを含み、
前記低温スラリーによる前記標的組織の冷却が、皮膚を引き締める応答を誘発して、皮膚の皺および小皺の外観を低減する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記標的組織が、筋肉、筋肉を支配する神経、および筋肉と筋肉を支配する神経との組合せからなる群から選択され、
前記筋肉、神経または組合せを前記低温スラリーで冷却することが、前記筋肉の収縮を一時的に阻害して、前記筋肉の収縮に関連する皮膚の皺および小皺の外観を低減する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記標的組織が、皮脂腺、皮脂腺を支配する神経、ならびに皮脂腺と皮脂腺を支配する神経との組合せからなる群から選択され、
前記皮脂腺、神経または組合せを前記低温スラリーで冷却することが、ざ瘡を生じさせる前記皮脂腺の活性を低減する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記標的組織が、くぼみのある外観を有するセルライト中の脂肪組織であり、
前記脂肪組織を前記低温スラリーで冷却することが、アポトーシスを誘発し、それによって前記くぼみのある外観を低減する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記標的組織が、くぼみのある外観を有するセルライト中の垂直線維組織ストランドであり、

前記低温スラリーを送達することが、前記カニューレを前記対象の皮膚に貫通させることと、前記カニューレを、結合組織に通して前記結合組織の下の脂肪組織まで進ませることと、前記低温スラリーを前記カニューレに通して前記脂肪組織に送達することとを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記送達デバイスが、カニューレを備え、
前記低温スラリーを送達することが、前記カニューレを前記対象の皮膚に貫通させることと、前記カニューレを、前記皮膚の下の結合組織まで進ませることと、前記低温スラリーを前記結合組織に送達することとを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記低温スラリーを送達することが、前記低温スラリーを、前記対象の横腹、腹部、大腿部、上腕、および顎の下のオトガイ下区域の周囲からなる群から選択される1つまたは複数の区域中の組織へ送達することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記低温スラリーが、水、塩およびグリセロールを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記低温スラリーが、0.1%から約20%のグリセロールと、0.1%から約20%の塩とを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記低温スラリーが、約+10℃、約+7℃、約+5℃、約+4℃、約+3℃、約+2℃、約+1℃、約0℃、約−1℃、約−2℃、約−3℃、約−4℃、約−5℃、約−10℃、約−15℃、約−20℃、約−30℃、約−40℃、および約−50℃からなる群から選択される平均温度を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記低温スラリーが、直径が約1mmから約0.01mmの球形または丸形の氷粒子を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記送達デバイスが、内腔を有する円筒部材を備え、
流体を前記送達デバイスの前記内腔へ提供することと、
攪拌デバイスを使用して前記内腔中の前記流体を攪拌することと、
少なくとも部分的に前記円筒部材を囲む外部冷却デバイスを使用して前記内腔中の前記流体を冷却して、前記低温スラリーを生成することと
をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記低温スラリーを送達することが、前記内腔中に少なくとも部分的に配置されたプランジャーを使用して、前記送達デバイスから前記流体を射出することを含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 注射液を含有する第1のコンパートメント、
第2のコンパートメント、および
冷却液を含む第3のコンパートメント
を備えるスラリー生成チャンバを提供することと、
前記冷却液を前記第3のコンパートメントから前記第2のコンパートメントへ放出させて、前記第1のコンパートメント中の前記注射液を囲みかつ冷却して、前記低温スラリーを生成することと
