Claims (11)

  1. ガラスマトリックス中で結合された溶融酸化アルミニウム鉱物を含む研磨凝集粒子であって、前記研磨凝集粒子の重量を基準として、前記溶融酸化アルミニウム鉱物は70重量パーセント〜95重量パーセントの範囲内で存在し、前記ガラスマトリックスは少なくとも5重量パーセント存在し、前記溶融酸化アルミニウム鉱物は最大300マイクロメートルの平均粒子サイズを有し、前記研磨凝集粒子は2〜15度の範囲内のテーパ角度及び少なくとも400マイクロメートルの寸法を有する側壁を有する角錐台形状を有する、研磨凝集粒子。
  2. 前記研磨凝集粒子は1.5ミリメートル未満の最大寸法を有する、請求項1に記載の研磨凝集粒子。
  3. 前記溶融酸化アルミニウム鉱物は少なくとも10マイクロメートルから最大200マイクロメートルの平均粒子サイズを有する、請求項1又は2に記載の研磨凝集粒子
  4. 前記研磨凝集粒子は人工的な多孔性を有する、請求項1〜のいずれか一項に記載の研磨凝集粒子。
  5. 請求項1〜のいずれか一項に記載の複数の研磨凝集粒子を含む、研磨物品。
  6. 前記研磨物品は被覆研磨物品である、請求項に記載の研磨物品。
  7. 前記被覆研磨材物品は、バッキングと、ポリマーバインダーを用いて前記バッキングに付着させた前記複数の研磨凝集粒子と、を含み、前記ポリマーバインダーは、フェノール系バインダー、又は、60未満のヌープ硬度の少なくともいずれかを有する、請求項に記載の研磨物品
  8. 前記研磨物品は不織布研磨物品である、請求項に記載の研磨物品。
  9. ワークピースの研磨方法であって、
    前記ワークピースを請求項のいずれか一項に記載の研磨物品と接触させることと、
    前記ワークピース及び前記研磨物品を互いに対して移動させて前記ワークピースを研磨することと、
    を含む、方法
  10. ワークピースの研磨方法であって、
    前記ワークピースを研磨物品と接触させることであって、前記ワークピースは20以下のロックウェルC硬度を有する、ことと、
    前記ワークピース及び前記研磨物品を互いに対して移動させて前記ワークピースを研磨することと、を含み、前記研磨物品は、バッキングと、60未満のヌープ硬度を有するポリマーバインダーを用いて前記バッキングに付着させた複数の成形研磨凝集粒子と、を含み、前記成形研磨凝集粒子は、ガラスマトリックス中で結合された最大3000のヌープ硬度を有する研磨粒子を含む、方法。
  11. 前記ワークピースはステンレス鋼、炭素鋼、又はチタンのうちの少なくとも1つを含む、請求項9又は10に記載の方法。
