Abstract
Description

関連、接続、関係又は連結を指し、1つの構成要素の配置が、それと結合した構成要素の空間的配置に影響を及ぼすような状態を指す。機械的結合については、2つの構成要素が直接的に接触している必要はなく、1以上の中間構成要素を介して連結していてもよい。光学カップリング(optical coupling)の構成要素は、光エネルギーが光学装置に入力され、光学装置から出力されることを許容する。「ビーム拡大器(beam expander)」と「瞳拡大器(pupil expander)」という用語は同義であると見なされ、ここでは交換可能に用いられる。
Claims (7)
- 見る者の頭部にディスプレイ装置を支持するフレームと、
前記フレーム内に装着され、画像担持光のビームを発するプロジェクタと、
前記フレームの前部に結合され前記画像担持光の経路に配置された結像光ガイドであって、透明な光学材料により形成された基板を有する導波路と、前記画像担持光のビームを前記導波路に向けるように配置されたインカップリング光学素子と、前記画像担持光のビームを横の次元で拡大し見る者のアイボックス内にバーチャル像を形成するように配置されたアウトカップリング光学素子と、を有する結像光ガイドと、
前記フレームに設けられ、前記結像光ガイドを見る者の前で支持し、前記プロジェクタに対して前記導波路を角度調節するヒンジを提供するマウントと、
を備えたウエアラブルディスプレイ装置。 - 前記ヒンジは、前記導波路を前記プロジェクタに対して水平面上で角度調節するための垂直軸を有する、請求項1に記載のウエアラブルディスプレイ装置。
- 前記ヒンジは、前記導波路を前記プロジェクタに対して垂直面の内と外で角度調節するための水平軸を有する、請求項1に記載のウエアラブルディスプレイ装置。
- 前記インカップリング光学素子と前記アウトカップリング光学素子のうちの1つまたは両方が、回折光学素子とプリズムのうちの少なくとも1つである、請求項1に記載のウエアラブルディスプレイ装置。
- 前記インカップリング光学素子は、前記導波路の平面内に位置し外面に対して傾いたミラーからなる、請求項1に記載のウエアラブルディスプレイ装置。
- 前記インカップリング光学素子は、複数の少なくとも部分的に反射するミラーからなり、前記導波路の平面内に配置され外面に対して傾いている、請求項1に記載のウエアラブルディスプレイ装置。
- 前記アウトカップリング光学素子は、複数の少なくとも部分的に反射するミラーであり、前記導波路の平面内に配置され外面に対して傾いている、請求項1に記載のウエアラブルディスプレイ装置。
