Claims (4)
- 衝撃荷重を木質繊維の延びる方向に沿って受ける木材と、該木材の前記木質繊維の延びる方向の外周を囲うように巻き付けられた比強度がスチール繊維以上の高強度繊維又は該高強度繊維からなる高強度繊維編織物と、を有する衝撃吸収部材の製造方法であって、
前記木材を前記木質繊維の延びる方向に対して垂直な方向に圧縮した状態で加熱して前記木材を収縮乾燥させ収縮木材を得る圧縮加熱工程と、
前記収縮木材に対して前記木質繊維の延びる方向の外周を囲うように前記高強度繊維又は前記高強度繊維編織物を巻き付けて固定し繊維巻付体を得る巻付工程と、
前記繊維巻付体に吸湿させて前記収縮木材を常態における前記木材の状態まで膨張させる吸湿工程と、を有する衝撃吸収部材の製造方法。 - 請求項1において、前記高強度繊維は、延伸されたパラ系アラミド繊維、ポリアリレート繊維又はPBO繊維である衝撃吸収部材の製造方法。
- 請求項1又は請求項2において、前記圧縮加熱工程は、第1方向における熱プレス、又は、第1方向と該第1方向に垂直な第2方向における熱プレスにより行われる衝撃吸収部材の製造方法。
- 請求項1から請求項3のいずれか1項において、前記圧縮加熱工程において前記収縮木材の表面に前記高強度繊維又は前記高強度繊維編織物を巻き付けるためのガイド溝が形成されている衝撃吸収部材の製造方法。
